We always visit Portmahomack on our annual holiday in the Highlands and have enjoyed several visits to the cafe. We found out last year that the cafe had changed hands and have visited again this year. Friendly staff and excellent food so still deserving of 5 stars.

My first time to Cromarty, my first time to Slaughterhouse Coffee and it was glorious: excellent coffee, excellent cake, no bother for them to fill a thermos full with matcha and an amazing view just perched outside watching the firth. Alas, apparently today was their last day so, unless someone else picks up the business from them, this was the end, a glorious end but; an end nonetheless…

Every year, we holiday in Aboyne, we make a pilgrimage to the Highlanders Bakehouse and we managed twice this time. It's always a pleasure to return. Staff are always friendly and the food is the best bit. Best pastries ever. Butteries are incredible, Croissants are magnificent. All washed down with a smooth cappuccino. Can't wait until our next visit 😄

Este lugar es excepcional! La calidad de la comida es increíble, los tamaños de las porciones eran masivos y para ser honesto deberían estar cobrando más muy buena relación calidad-precio Sin duda volvería!

Lovely Café with Great Service Visited this café in an old church and was really impressed. The staff were welcoming, the service was quick and efficient, and the food was excellent. My only suggestion would be to add some low-volume background music to improve the atmosphere. A wonderful place with a great purpose — highly recommend!

Excellent B&B with fabulous hosts, Jackie & John. We were a family of 3 adults staying for 3 nights in the 2 available bedrooms. Both rooms were spotless, comfortable, very well presented with very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. The rooms are en-suite with large walk in showers with plenty of hot water. If you are looking to stay in the area then my advice would be to book the Crown & Anchor as our experience was 100% positive. We couldn’t find fault with anything. The location is stunning and so peaceful. Breakfasts were delicious as was the food we had from the tea rooms downstairs. Jackie’s homemade Victoria sponge is to die for. We were made to feel so welcome and would book here again if we were to return to Dumfries and Galloway. Jackie and John, thank you both so much for making our holiday so enjoyable x

Recomiendo.
