The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Popped in here for some bottles of water and ended-up getting a treat for the dogs and a can of local soft drink too (Paisley Drinks Co.). The shop / cafe seemed pleasant enough and the staff were welcoming but I couldn't comment on anything past that as I was simply a passing customer and didn't stay / sit-in for food. I had a quick browse at the fridges and noted the meats and fresh foods to be local (smoked salmon, milk etc) which would be a dream to a local, and someone who liked fish. I do have to comment that two of the three items I bought were actually from over 300 miles away (water from Wales, dog treat from Reddish, England). A nice wee shop that I will visit again but I will be checking what I buy next time. *I've rated food 3 stars purely because I didn't have any so it must be a neutral rating.

What a fantastic place to eat, drink and relax. We were returning from a wedding in Glencoe and decided to stay here for one night on the way home and we are so glad we did. Everything about our short but sweet stay was perfect. Sitting outside having a drink, enjoying the sunshine then up to our well appointed room, really nicely done with comfortable bed and nice, modern bathroom. We'd booked a dinner, bed and breakfast stay and the food was fantastic as was the service. It has a wonderful friendly, family atmosphere and we chatted away to the owner a couple of times and we felt right at home. If we are passing that way again we'll stay without hesitation, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Travelled 2 hours after reading reviews about this cafe - which seemed like an idyllic place to take my mother for coffee and cake, bit of scenery and a day out. Checked winter opening times which advised opening at 11:30 on Sunday - We arrived slightly early and enjoyed a short walk. We decided to go back to car when THE cafe had not opened by 11:50 - when at the car we saw a lady open the cafe - so excitedly made our way over. I asked the lady if the cafe was open for coffee to which she replied "it is but the kettle takes an hour to boil" and she walked away. Very disappointed. Had the opening times stated 1pm -- there would have been no issue. However no explanation or apology given.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Lovely cafe. Very friendly service - cafe was busy but staff were unflustered. Twirl cheesecake was amazing. Lovely coffee too. Highly recommended.

Encontré este pequeño restaurante hace unos días por casualidad. Tuvimos un gran desayuno entonces y volví hoy. Servido por Joyce que era encantador. Ella escuchó nuestras diversas peticiones sobre cómo nos gustó nuestra comida cocinada. Somos muy exigentes con nuestros huevos. Todo estaba cocinado a la perfección. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente. Otra ventaja es que es compatible con perros, por lo que se lo diremos a la familia en general. Gracias Joyce. Nos veremos de nuevo pronto. c

Ask for no fat on bacon and it's left on. 4 pounds for a slice of sponge cake and the cake is tiny. Presentation is good but value for money is zero shame

My first visit during my Glasgow stay. Came here and had a late breakfast consisting of a raisin scone and a pot of tea. Super cozy atmosphere, feels like a local regular cafe. Very nice owner who gave me some tips on other places to visit nearby.

Thomas and the team at Links are fantastic - food was fabulous - we tried the Cullen Skink and it was delicious. So was the Lasagne and the chicken dishes. Great value for money and definitely a 6 out of 5 score for us 👍 And the views are stunning too 👌

Another awesome brunch at Beefcake. I had the most delicious shakshuka with feta and gluten free toast and my partner, the fabulous roll with everything. Relaxed but attentive service from a very young accolyte who coped well with my single shot cappuccino. If only the sun shone on their side of the street, it would have been six stars 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
