A bit hidden no much signage this is a former bank loads of seating very nice and clean friendly staff coffee very good along with my bacon roll

Lovely little cafe with great food and very reasonably priced. Staff were also lovely and welcoming. We ordered online which was very easy to do and food was ready for the time we selected. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great food with a good variety and all bases covered between more creative sandwiches and your 'basics' like ham and cheese. Fantastic coffee, freidnly staff and a lovely setting being in an old bank (with vault still in place!) Highly recommend!

Do NOT pass by - here you will find a warm welcome, and the best ever gluten and dairy free pancakes!!! Having had to adjust my diet recently I now know how difficult and limiting eating out can be - here, the lovely lady was sooooo accommodating to my needs and even remembered when we visited the following day - big thank you ❤️ - 5 stars Symposium Portsoy - will be back next time we are up your way.

Went here today for lunch. The ladies were great and came out to help us order since we were being dafties lol my BLT in a wrap was amazing. Loved it. My mum loved her Caesar salad as there was plenty of dressing to last the whole salad :) my dads salmon salad was good too. Place was lovely and clean and the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Saw them interact with a regular older lady who was in on a different day than usual and they took the time to chat with her while keeping an eye on the place. Well done 👍 great service, great food. Lovely place. I’d def recommend A+

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Had a lovely lunch with a delicious sandwich and coffee. Lots of choice on the menu from more adventurous options to simple things like ham and cheese toasties if that takes your fancy! Would highly recommend.

Coffee and light lunch were served by one very pleasant and stalwart lady, who seemed to be doing everything herself. I hope they pay her well because she deserves it. Perfect location in centre of Portsoy. Nice menu. Hope to return.

Really nice, warm & friendly coffee shop in the centre of town. Very good coffee & fairly priced, although didn’t have anything to eat the pancakes looked really good.

Staff were nice, felt really welcomed, environment was clean and easily located. Drink was hot and everyone was added as I asked.

After a very disappointing experience at a cafe in Gardenstown, myself and my friend went to this cafe and I’m very pleased. The chai lattes were the best I’ve had and the bagel with philly and salmon was delicious, coleslaw was delicious as was the salad with dressing. Service was great and would recommend here for a bite to eat with lovely staff - well done

Fantastic friendly cafe. We visited twice during our holiday. First time for coffee and scones, second for lunch. Everything was excellent both times. Staff so friendly and welcoming and gave us a free pancake for our one year old.

I frequent the Ellon branch of Symposium regularly so figured this branch would be similar in terms of food offerings. A few vegan options on the menu, no cakes at time of visit but I was ok with that. The staff listed off a few vegan items they had and offered a few suggestions, along with custom options I could do. I settled on the AVO-Sium (avocado, onion and tomato relish and vegan mozzarella) in a grilled wrap with salad. The rest of my group had bacon bagel, salmon bowl and a chicken caesar wrap. All the food was fresh, really tasty and we didn't have to wait too long. The smoothies were really good and 4 types of plant milk are available (oat, coconut, soy and almond). Staff were lovely too!

Recently enjoyed lunch here during a visit to Portsoy. Extremely busy and advised it would take a wee while to get through the orders. I liked their honestly. We waited. We didn’t need to wait that long and it was definitely worth the wait. We both enjoyed really tasty filled bagels with side salad and coleslaw. Good coffee and tea too. Good food and good, honest service. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious chicken avocado pesto salad at a very reasonable price and nice coffee too . The cafe is set in the old bank and is light and airy.

Needed a spot of lunch and called in here. Excellent coffee, excellent smoked salmon bagel and excellent, friendly service. What’s not to like!

It was good to meet up with my sisters and sister in law at the cafe where we all enjoyed the wonderful food served to us by excellent staff . Needless to say we will all be visiting again, to sample more of the cafes...

We were travelling through Portsoy. What a great find this was for a late breakfast. We had the Canadian (huge pancake and bacon with lashings of maple syrup). Really tasty and seriously big. Service was excellent too.

Wowsa! Wish I had taken a photo first, the pancakes are huge and I mean huge, dinner plate size. Absolutely amazing. Choose wisely as the addiction to come back is real. We were 6 adults and 3 kids and we all had amazing food.

Lovely little place on the corner that does a varied selection of sandwiches and some of the biggest pancakes you’ve ever seen and all very reasonably priced. Younger member of staff was great with our kids even though she was working non-stop the whole time...

Great little cafe on main st. Soya coffee available which was great. Appreciate not everyone likes dogs but a small corner for them would generate some more customers particularly as you are on NC250 for travellers. Missing a trick there as we would have spent...
