Lovely cafe with a good menu. Food was really good

New to me today, and well worth a visit. It's quite small, but was pretty full when we dropped by for coffee and breakfast on our cycle. They have an incredible selection of food available, we had the breakfast rolls and a monster scone. Because it was so busy the service was a bit slow, but the food was worth the wait. We'll be back, and realise we might have to book!

We were only there by accident ... The local castle sent us along because their cafe was unexpectedly closed. So we got to experience this lovely friendly cafe with a great menu. I had a breakfast bun with haggis, black pudding, bacon and egg and it was excellent. A slice of homemade traybake too, just in case there were any tiny gaps that still needed filling in. Not the place for dogs as there is just not enough room, but accessible. And let me say it again, the staff are friendly. Some things are still right in this world.

We saw the reviews of Café 83 and decided to make it our destination lunch stop on our cycle ride. We were not disappointed. The breakfast roll was impressive with 4 items of your choice included and the best I've ever tasted. The fruit scone was amazing and warmed to perfection. I would totally recommend the cafe and staff.

Had a lovely Birthday Lunch on Saturday, first time at Cafe 83, lovely bright clean environment, staff were friendly and the food was excellent, each plate of food was worthy of a photograph and tasted just as good 👌🏼

Have had many flat white coffees in this lovely little cafe during the day. We decided to try the evening menu in August. Was dissapointed 😥 VERY small portions, lamb ok but small, no potato's, pea puree, small veg. Partners burger very small too. Rhubarb Eton Mess also disappointing, de-constructed, meringue powdery instead of chewy. Think they do better food in the day. Wouldn't go back in the evening. Staff however are lovely as is the cafe.

Lovely atmosphere, food is delicious and very reasonably priced. '83 Breakfast' Best cooked mushrooms ever! Will definitely be back, highly recommended.

This place proves once more that Scotland is home to some of the nicest people. The food was good, and the place was cozy. We did not wait too long to be served. It could be difficult to find a parking spot nearby, but it is a wee town, so even if you need to park elsewhere, it wouldn't be a long walk after. Try the burger and the sweet potato soup! You'll thank me later.

Delicious coffee and scone. Very good service. We asked for a scone between two which came already split in two and warmed up👍Most cafés give a scone and an extra plate if asked for but was impressed by this thoughtful touch. Thank-you😊

Fantastic wee café in Kenmay. The server was very friendly and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and competitively priced. The atmosphere in the cafe was decent and they had some bangers playing from the sound system. Highly recommend a visit

Lovely breakfast well worth the money

My wife and I visited here tonight for something to eat and wasn’t disappointed. Can honestly say it’s the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The waiter was extremely nice and welcoming too. Will definitely visit again!

Love cafe 83 great food and staff.

Stopped at the cafe whilst passing through the village and very glad we did so. Having grown up in Kemnay during the 70s & 80s was familiar with the premises however the pub I remember from my childhood is now a sleek modern cafe. From the friendly service to the fantastic food offering we could not find a single fault about the place ( not that we were looking!) and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch visit. Will definitely make a point of stopping here more often as it’s an absolute gem of a place!

Visited Cafe83 for the first time for an evening meal. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff, the food was great (most of us had burgers that were very tasty) and reasonably priced. No complaints and will definitely be back again.

Had breakfast one Sunday morning- very busy when first opened which must be a good sign. Breakfast and hot drinks were lovely and very tasty

Really friendly, helpful people here. Great selection of food, varied and interesting. Really enjoyed my open sandwich, others had toasties and they looked excellent. Generous portion sizes so best not to order too much at once - service was very quick so I'm sure if you're hungry you will not have too long to wait for more. I'd recommend this cafe for the food and the friendly people. Well done everyone at Cafe 83, hope to be back soon. Sorry no photos you'd time, started eating straight away.

We have been to the award winning Cafe 83 many times over the years and always had brilliant food and service. Last night we went with friends to try the new autumn menu, it was delicious. The best mushrooms on sourdough I’ve ever had, all the courses were well presented and so tasty. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. They have a great cocktail menu and wine selection to choose from. Well done Andy and team Cafe 83, we’ll be back very soon, thank you!

Found by chance as other cafe we were cycling to was closed and it really blew us away with the food options and service (cyclist friendly with a safe place for the bikes). Highly recommend and we'll certainly be back!

Went there for lunch Tuesday three of us everything we had was cooked to perfection, the service was top notch a great place to go who would have thought kemnay had a diamond like this.

Great place, would recommend it, nice atmosphereand lovely staff. We had heard lots if good things about it. We went late morning we ordered a breakfast roll and the katsu chicken toasty both were freshly cooked and tasted great, very reasonable too. Will definitely go back.

This is the second visit to this establishment, and again the food is first rate, beautifully presented and hot The staff are well mannered, very polite, and highly efficient The toilets are first rate, and cleaned and equipped to a high standard This is a gem, a little oasis that is welcoming, a lovely little place to enjoy your meal and relax Well worth a visit

First time trying Cafe83 & we received a warm welcome, place had a nice atmosphere & a good but simple menu. We opted for the breakfast (not the big daddy) & the burger with two lattes (nice coffee). Portions are great & food was delicious. Found out they do burger nights, evening menus & cocktails & I believe they run a bus for pick ups. Looking forward to go back.

Lovely meal with old friends, I had fish and chips it was amazing. My husband loved the burger. The meal was at a high standard comparable to high end meals I’ve had in the west end that cost a third more. A little gem well worth the visit

Was here with my sister last week, we had breakfast one day and lunch another day. Food was delicious and plentiful.staff were amazing, and food was really quick to arrive. Could not fault it will definitely be back. Thank you 10/10

My sister and visited here for afternoon tea which we were both looking forward to and it certainly did not disappoint, in fact it was the best afternoon tea I have ever experienced and at a very pleasant £11.95 whats not to like! The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive, you know who you are! Nothing was too much trouble as I was GF and my sister was DF and her smiley happy face the entire afternoon did not go unnoticed which made the whole experience even more enjoyable! She explained each course in great detail starting with the amazing samplers of 3 different cocktails each which was a delightful bonus on such a cold and frosty afternoon. We had pornstar martini, cosmopolitan and espresso martini shots to start with…keep them coming please We were then served a sweet chill chicken skewer, the most delightful and tasty turkey and cranberry type sausage roll, but with out the sausage, 3 sandwiches each, and a shot of spicy butternut squash soup which was piping hot. Believe u me after that I was full up but wait, next up were the scones, yes scones not 1 each but 2 each, plain and fruit which were deliciously hot served with jam, butter and cream and a pot of tea. We both only managed one as we were still to be presented with the final course of desserts which were to die for! Black Forest gateau cleverly compacted in a shot glass with velvety smooth chocolate type mousse and cherries and a chocolate sponge and compote as the base. A miniature meringue which was very delicate and chewy on the base the way I like it and a small square of apple soaked sponge which we could not eat as we were uncomfortably full so boxed up to take home along with the other few items we couldn’t manage. A beautiful cosy cafe with a great atmosphere we will definitely return and spread the word of course as in my opinion it would be very to beat! Hats off to them it’s very clear they all work closely together as a team and I personally conveyed my grateful thanks to the kitchen staff for an excellent afternoon.

They have a winter special menu. I tried just the dessert 🍨 Apple crumble analaise with ice cream and it was simply amazing. Loved the presentation and preparation. Would visit again.

Met with friends for the most amazing Xmas Afternoon Tea. Would thoroughly recommend it. Great atmosphere too and the young girl serving us was so nice. Nice and relaxing and didn't feel rushed at all. Well done all at Cafe 83.

I came here for lunch Saturday 13:00. The food was delicious. I had the soup + toastie combo and it was really tasty. The service was good. It was nice and tidy inside with a good atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and they have free customer WiFi. I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Hidden gem! Amazing food and service in a cozy trendy environment

Yesterday four of us went for breakfast as we have been going to various different restaurants. All of us ordered the cafe 83 breakfast. The food order was taken and served by pleasant friendly staff, and I was quite impressed by the interior of the premises. The breakfast itself appeared to have been pre cooked as if it had been kept in some form of heated hot plates to keep warm. The only thing on the plate that was freshly cooked I would have said was the eggs !!! The cooked breakfast came with one round of toast compared to two rounds of toast at other restaurants nearby for comparable or similar cost. Also with regards to the toast there was no choice of either brown or white bread and no marmalade was available. We had heard great things about cafe 83 breakfasts, but this was by far the most disappointing breakfast we have had and I for one would have to think long and hard about returning. Premises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food. ⭐️⭐️

We haven't been here in a few years so wasn't sure it would still be as good as before but it was amazing as always. Very friendly, attentive staff and the food was amazing. Having recently found out I can't have dairy or wheat I was worried there wouldn't be much for me but thankfully they were able cater to my food allergies and I left with a nice full stomach. Very happy. Have to add that the prices were very reasonable and I would go back any day of the week.

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely place. We arrived half a hour before closing so were a little worried that the kitchen would be closed. The staff double checked and told us we were fine to get some cooked food. Food was lovely and fairly priced too. Good selection of hot food and cakes on offer Cafe was clean and very well presented. Had a relaxed and welcoming feel. Will definitely visit again when I’m the area

Food was delicious, reasonable waiting time considering everything cooked fresh, great atmosphere and nothing was a problem, small issue was dealt with in an impressive manner. Staff really make sure you enjoy your experience and genuinely look like they are happy to be there. Not enough of these little gems around hope it is well supported so that it is here for the long term:)

We had lunch yesterday and it was superb so decided to have breakfast here today. It was a taste sensation, Cinnamon french toast was the best I've ever had. Really lovely cafe, great service and relaxing atmosphere.
