Had lunch here on a cold wet day. There are a couple of pavement tables but it was not a day for sitting outside. The soup was ideal and very tasty. It was noticeable that the staff were exceptionally helpful towards customers with mobility problems, going outside to help one person out of a car and through the door. Very heart warming.

I love afternoon tea and Traffords create a superb display with excellent home made and freshly prepared sandwiches, gorgeous mini soups and affa fine fancy pieces including scones with cream and jam. Todays soup was delicious and warming and its just enough with all the other goodies. Sandwiches were ham salad, egg or tuna and the bread was soft and tasty with plenty of filling. As a special treat we also had warm sausage rolls and mini quiche which were perfect, especially on a cold March afternoon. Now for something sweet, chocolate dipped strawberries, double shortbread, fudge, scones and bridal slice. Two much for two ladies to eat! But a fine treat to take home and enjoy later. Endless tea or coffee, fresh flowers on the table and super friendly staff. This was a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea special so there was a little gift for my mum too! How lovely and thoughtful. The cafe is also spotlessly clean, easy to access for buggies, wheelchairs or those with limited mobility, has a lovely atmosphere and is right on the high street, so you can pop in for a take away if you don’t have time for sitting in. Afternoon tea at Traffords? A big thumbs up from us!

First time here. Great staff. Very COVID secure. Spotlessly clean. I was just in for a mid bike ride bacon roll and a coffee. Both were excellent. I like my coffee black and naked and a poor coffee has no frothy stuff to hide behind but this was a lovely brew. Sensible size cup too. I don't know if they do massive paper cups of skinny malinky mocha wocha tutti frutti double dips with marshmallows, or whatever, if that's your thing but why would you spoil a goid coffee anyway? A couple over the way from me had been having something more substantial and seemed to have enjoyed it. Cakes looked great but I was behaving myself. Maybe next time. Won't be my last visit that's for sure. Highly recommended.

I visited Traffords on Shrove Tuesday and couldn't resist trying one of the pancakes on display, something which has to be done on pancake day. The pancake was baked on the premises and it was the best tasting pancake I have had in an eatery in Turriff. It was made with fresh ingredients and not from a packet, and you could tell the difference in taste. The pancake was a generous size and was was light and fluffy. It tasted just like the home made pancakes my grandma used to make. I was informed that this was the first time Traffords had made pancakes and I certainly hope that it won't be the last. I hope that the owner, Marj, decides to have pancakes on the menu on a regular basis, say once a week. I would like to give the cook a special mention as she is a fantastic pancake maker (10/10).

What can I say.....................Well just that I have had the best Bacon buttie ever!!! Soft, fresh, fluffy, melt in your mouth softie filled with the best back bacon I have tasted in a very long time. It was moist, not chewy. Just.... sorry to say this again,,,,,,,,,, but melt in the mouth gorgeousness!! Coffee wasn't half back too! Service was prompt, efficient and friendly.Price was an outstandingly reasonable £6.10, but that was because I took home an equally delicious tomato and mozzarella scone(greedy me)!

I had been walking around Turriff and knew that I would want a coffee at some point before heading home. This place is situated on the main street, and there was just something about it that made me feel it would be a good choice. It was empty when I went in at 3:40, and it turned out that they shut at 4:00, but that was time enough for coffee, and of course I couldn't resist having something sweet to eat with it. There was a good choice of items, but I opted for the Victoria sponge, which was very nice. I was done and dusted by 4:00 so didn't hold them up. The staff were very pleasant and I will make a point of returning when I'm back in the village.

Only started coming here regularly and I love it!! Great decor and lovely fresh and relaxing feeling. Staff are pleasant and well mannered and Marj, the owner, is especially welcoming. The food is basic soups, sandwiches, paninis and cakes which is perfect for a nice light lunch, whether you sit in or takeaway. Prices are reasonable and you get more than what you pay for!! Ingredients and salads are all fresh and taste great, not taken from Tesco packets!! What I like is that the portions aren't swamped with salad and crisps and the main 'item' should take up 2/3 and the 1/3 should be a bit of coleslaw/salad/etc, which is the problem with a lot of places!! Absolutely in love!!

Visit this coffee shop every time i'm up in Turriff visiting my parents. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The tea selection is good but the coffee served is ok - i'm used to latte art quality coffee in my local coffee shop in Glasgow so anything less than this usually disappoints. Thank you very much. Marianne, Detlef und Dad Wilfried

I stopped in for a coffee and some toast before work and although it is a nice setting and the coffee is above average, I found it quite expensive. The staff have the basic manners (please, thanks, etc) but the day I visited I found them to be a bit distant but bear in mind that this was the morning of Christmas Eve. Overall I think it is the best coffee shop in Turriff and a lovely place to sit and catch up with a friend or have a breakfast; for solo visitors, perhaps have some newspapers or things to occupy the visitor?

On a very wet day we were recommended to come here and were not disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome, excellent service and delicious lunch. Akira and Carol both attended to little details without asking - ie Carol serving an extra large portion of chips when I declined other veg that were on the menu (brother in law pleased to help me out!) and Akira giving my sister a takeaway box as she couldn't manage the whole of her panini. Brillliant. I live in Devon so may not be passing through again but would wholeheartedly recommend visiting.

Visited here for Sunday "carvery" whilst staying onsite. Service was excellent by all staff members, however we were expecting a carvery where you help yourself to a selection of roast meats and veg. This wasn't the case it was just a regular Sunday roast prepared in the kitchen and served at your table. The roast itself was very average, the only veg being peas and carrots along with cheap tasting pigs in blankets. This was priced at around £21 pp for 2 courses,I think it was done as cheap as possible. Although the food tasted absolutely fine it was by no means anything other than average and definitely not a carvery.
