My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the first class lunch served to us at the Wednesday Lunch Club in The Gift Tree Corstorphine. Started with a delicious Amuse Bouche. Followed with cheese and broccoli quiche. Served with baked potato and coleslaw. Pudding was a scrumptious berry crumble with custard. Together with a hot drink. Excellent value!

Pleasant friendly independent cafe. The seating out back is one of the best kept secrets in Corstorphine. Very nice when the weather is decent.

The Gift Tree is a great place to enjoy either a coffee or tea and a piece or lunch. Delicious home bakes and soups, and tempting main courses. Vegetarians and vegans definitely catered for. The cafe is also a craft shop where you can browse and buy cards, paintings, craft work and gifts. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the cafe is wheelchair accessible.

The Gift Tree is such a great place to dine, with such a lovely atmosphere, it’s peaceful, cheerful and full of character. The food is absolutely superb. We have now had the pleasure of sampling a few dishes, perfect in every way, tastey delicious treats that you will see you return for more! The master chef ‘Jean-Guy’, what a gentleman with such a passion for food, we much enjoy the chat during our visit. Helen is also a big part of The Gift Tree, she looks after everyone so well, ensuring the needs are met of all the customers. Can’t recommend this little quaint place enough.

This was my first visit to the Gift Tree and I wasn't disappointed. I attended one of the themed pop up evenings and was treated to a delicious 3 course Mexican themed menu courtesy to their chef Jean-Guy. Helen and Jean-Guy were excellent hosts and made our group feel very welcome. The food and service were truly excellent and the warm welcome and atmosphere were an added bonus. Looking forward to returning to both the cafe and another pop up evening.

Helen & Jean Guy are a dream team and a credit to the local community. I have enjoyed coming to the Gift Tree to sample some of Jean Guy's new creations for a short while now, and have left with a full and satisfied stomach every time. I have also attended some of the themed pop up nights that take place each month. So far I have enjoyed Spanish, French and Mexican, each of which have been exceptional. The service is second to none, and you're made to feel right at home with some great chat, great food and cosy surroundings. The Gift Tree also sells a number of handmade local craft and gift items. It seems to be the case that whenever I pop in for some food, I'll end up coming out with a gift, card or candle! If you're in the area, you have to visit!

My first visit to this lovely cafe in Corstorphine...... And I'll be back. Such friendly and helpful staff with a fabby menu and to top it all, craft and art works for sale from local individuals and charities. Thoroughly enjoyed my home made sausages in sourdough bread. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Chef was so helpful in giving advice for my own sourdough challenges...... Also couldn't leave without purchasing some gifts from the large selection on display. Ideal place for Christmas shopping and coffee, all under one roof. There's also a great sitooterie in the rear of the cafe. Lovely and sheltered. Great place if you have the covid fear......

We ordered a finger buffet for a family celebration and the quality and choice was excellent. We sat down with Jean-Guy and discussed what would work for us and the types of food that the family would like. He came up with a menu for us and made sure we were happy before proceeding. We also ordered a beautiful dessert cake which was delicious. It was lovely to have freshly prepared food which hadn’t been factory prepared. It’s lovely to have this place on our doorstep. The guests were delighted with the food (special mention for the home made sausage rolls) and the care and attention from Jean-Guy shone through.

I am a regular visitor for take-away coffee/cake or ice-creams when I am out dogwalking but they also have an amazing range of crafts and gifts, and have an outdoor seating area to the rear. They also do fantastic savoury foods and dogs are allowed both inside and out. A hidden gem in Corstorphine and you can usually always get a seat! They also do pop-up themed evening meals which sound great but I haven’t managed along to one yet.

This is a church cafe run by volunteers. It says it is an outreach cafe and an asset to the community - but this is hardly the case when the prices are off putting and more expensive than most cafes run as businesses. A very poor cappuccino cost £3.40 and my baked potato was nearly £8. It is set up in a church hall and the volunteers are pleasant but not exactly efficient (my baked potato was left on an adjacent table until I asked where it was). All the members of our table had their food delivered at different times so some were finished before others had started (we ordered together).
