Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Eclectic seating in spacious surroundings. Delicious hot coffee and food. The croque norwege packed with smoked salmon is terrific as was the side salad of lettuce, close cut cucumber, tomatoes with dressing. Portions are generous with thick toast bread/sourdough, butter and jam. Gluten free bread/ options available with SIX gf cakes. Impressive and tasty. Thankfully very close to where we stay as we tend to go there often.

After a walk in the area, this was an ideal stop off for a cuppa. I didn't have any food, so I can't comment on that, but it's in a great location. I sat outside: relaxed and with great views, but I do agree with another recent review to say it could be so much more. For instance, the seats outside were fairly basic and broken plastic chairs. That said, service was friendly and it definitely ticks the box!

We approached the cafƩ at 9am with laundry and were greeted by four Scottish Terriers who were apparently running the place, until Graham arrived up the stairs to ask what the heck we wanted...and we knew immediately we were in the right place! I've read some of the reviews, and if you don't understand Graham in the first 5 seconds of him opening his mouth, you don't deserve to be there...and I am pretty sure Graham will know/sense it himself. I think he relishes poor reviews. But we felt immediately at home, and once we passed the "test", Graham was the perfect host. I had to put up with insults on my lack of fashion sense and some uncomfortable history lessons regarding the villainy of George Washington, but my wife and I would not trade our experience for anything! Graham practically did our laundry for us, made us coffee, and even gave me a lovely (empty) can of haggis. Thank you for the experience Graham! I hope you enjoy the US Dollar Bill (with Washington on it)...and I won't forget that American history is really Scottish history!

Have been for breakfast which was ok. A little bit cooler than I'd like but ok. Lunch was not great. Mac n cheese with chips, had to pay extra for chips, they were ok. Mac n cheese however was not great. No sauce, no cheese and very dry. Would never order it again. Expensive for what I had.

I ordered a regular Iced Vanilla Latte (Ā£3.95) and my girlfriend ordered a regular Iced Caramel Latte (Ā£3.95). We got a piece of Creme Egg Brownie (Ā£3.25) to share as the prices of the cakes were ridiculously expensive for the portion size given. We also got a portion of fries (Ā£3). The piece of brownie we were given was so stale you couldāve built a wall with it - I highlighted this to the server and she replaced it with a fresh piece. We liked the coffee, the brownie was nice and the chips were adequate. Overall, we would return for the coffee if we were in the area again but feel their prices could be a bit more reasonable.

Lovely local deli. Their fresh bread is delicious. Always busy. That's when you know they are good š

Delicious warm blueberry muffin and an apple and cinnamon muffin here for breakfast. Coffee, however, not good, tasted like dishwater, so neither of us finished our drinks. Would visit again for muffins but not coffee. Toilet out of order, but used for staff to change. Staff friendly.

Well it gets 5/5 good views if you get a seat at the window šŖ It's definitely the best place for Scotland breakfast I gave it 10/10 for every item on my plate. The fried eggš„wasnt all frizled up and the tattie scone wasn't burnt on any side & it wasn't covered in grease that one could ring it out, the lorn sausage wasn't even tough g the mushrooms š were cooked well & nice & hotš„ & the beans were lovely g hot too, even the 2 triangles of toast were tosted EVENLY on both sides & it's unusual for that to happen in other eateries. The B.P. (black pudding) had no white fat bits shown in it & the hagis tasted lovely too & also the bacon š„

Wouldnāt recommend at all. The toilets were dirty with no toilet roll or soap. The food was cold especially the fries. The service was terrible we had to take our dirty plates up to the bar. To get additional drinks also we have to attend the bar and walk up to members of staff. The brewdog bars in Aberdeen are far better. This isnāt the first time weāve had a bad experience as this is the second in a month.

The most unwelcoming horrific, Hostile place Iāve ever wasted my money on in my life. Bar staff utterly horrific and aggressive, cannot believe how bad we were treated and never felt so angry in my life. Good luck to you when you are closed down and joining the dole queue. You donāt deserve to share my oxygen you utter vermin.

This cafe is a godsend to visitors and in patients of Victoria Hospital. The service is usually very good and there are always seats to be had despite the place being very busy. It was very important to me and my family when i was a patient here as it meant I was able to get away from the ward for a little while and also have private conversations with my family and friends,

the staf are very friendly and the meals are very good, the outside area across from the restaurant has lovely views and it is possible to sit there with a drink
