Cobbs in Highland

Have been for breakfast which was ok. A little bit cooler than I'd like but ok. Lunch was not great. Mac n cheese with chips, had to pay extra for chips, they were ok. Mac n cheese however was not great. No sauce, no cheese and very dry. Would never order it again. Expensive for what I had.

Called in for lunch as we were shopping in the store. I chose my usual macaroni cheese... sorry to say but it was awful. The two words, macaroni and cheese, what turned up at the table contained pretty much neither! The barely cooked pasta was not "macaroni" it was more like Rigatoni and the cheese content was limited to a tiny amount of cheese grated on the top and then grilled. Macaroni cheese is always made with a white sauce made from flour, butter and milk with, of course, plenty of cheese. Charging what you do for a bowl of barely cooked pasta with no sauce is disgusting. I won't be dining at Cobb's again!

Went on Saturday morning had mega breakfast it was amazing. Really quick service and probably best breakfast I have had. Everything hot and fresh. Staff friendly would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Very fast service too. Thanks 👍

Good quality breakfast and a great price. Some better quality branded sachet sauces would be a great, find the current ones a bit lack lustre.

Went here for our lunch, got moaned at the second we entered the cafe. Got shouted at for switching tables not asked nicely in a proffesional manor. The woman cooking the food was dancing and playing music loudly while we ate. What seemed to be like the manager was unbelivebly rude towards us and other customers- talking about them behind their backs. 2 pieces of lettuce was a salad. Everything about the staff puts you off ever going back no wonder we were the only ones there!!!!!!! Disgrace.

Got properly shouted at by a masked maniac behind the counter for not standing behind her yellow and black taped floor...all I wanted to ask was do they allow dogs in! I asked her this and got shouted at again infront of her customers that she was serving..I told her she was rude and she had the audacity to shout at me that I was rude..never been spoken to like this before..enter at your own peril

First ever visit food was great! I had a bowl of soup that’s was clearly homemade and a homemade scone. My husband had a burger and you really do get what you payed for. Coffee was nice and a good selection of herbal tea. Will definitely be visiting again! Two young girls who took out order where lovely And very welcoming. The chef who collected our dishes was also lovely and it was nice to put a face to the talent in the kitchen

Popped in for coffee and a scone. In short who on earth puts sugar in cheese scones?? Awful and not fresh!!! Coffee arrived at table 10 minutes after we had sat down and scone finished. Basically not interested, grumpy and looked like you were doing them a favour choosing to eat there. Won’t bother again.

Bit awkward to get to and despite knowing about it for years it was our first visit as we had to go to Highland Industrial Supplies. Expected more of a transport cafe due to its location but it has good quality furniture and restful lighting. Bacon roll was excellent with bacon cooked how we like it in a very fresh soft roll. Will definitely return.

Have been in here a few times and never disappointed. Have had cooked breakfast, bacon rolls, sausage rolls.I must add the rolls are enormous!!!! Sausage roll has 3 sausages on it! Latte is cheaper than most places in Inverness, and the scones are scrumptious! Service and staff are first class and the place itself is very nice and clean. Can't go wrong here whether for breakfast, lunch or an early meal.

Went with my mum today and it was amazing we shared a macaroni cheese and chips it was amazing and great service. Really clean and amazing. Really nice.

Small greasy spoon attached to a hardware store. The coffee is ok but foods seems all deep fried and cakes are dry Strange set up of the cook bringing the food out to the table.

Phoned in to place a big order to get hung up on twice. After eventually getting through I went in to be spoken to like dirt, and to be told that our order was wrong when we had everything written down. Everything was a hassle to the girls behind the counter. Also our food was swimming in fat.. that it made a hole in the box... not happy!!!

This cafe is attached to the very popular HIS shop and offer a wide range of food, although later in the day there isnt much available. A little overpriced.

if your down the longman you should take time if your hungry to go in here nice general food which wil make you smile

Food ok but the seating is filthy. Maybe Tracey should stop standing around berating her fellow employees and actually do some cleaning. The seats were encrusted with food.

I happened too visit Cobbs for a full Scottish breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed. Friendly service with a smile. Didn’t have too wait long considering that the place was very busy. I finished everything that was on the plate and it was delicious. And the value was good as well. Try it out folks, you will not be disappointed.

Been in for a few breakfasts and a lunch recently.

Been here many times now and always have a good feed. My daughter loves it as well as there is the crucial element for all teenagers wi-fi.

Not even busy but still they managed to forget my takeaway order.

Go to cobbs every two weeks after we do our grocery shop

Said I would not be back but had some time to kill whilst car getting repaired. Tried the breakfast and it was pretty good. Definitely be back for this. Just shows you some places can pick up on feedback and improve their product.

I had a burger here and it was very, very tasty. This is a very friendly café and it was a nice place to eat and relax.

Just nipped in to HIS for something and decided to have a wee break and was very pleasantly surprised! Great range of good food. Now i love Bacon rolls so i had to have one and it is the best Bacon Roll i have had for years! And the roll was buttered which is rare. Anyway, besides that there are many other nice options available and nice friendly staff in a nice spacious comfortable environment.

I have been here a few times with my hubby after looking in HIS. The staff are always polite and friendly. The place is always clean, I honestly don't have a bad word to say about it

The staff here are so welcoming and very kind, the food is amazing too, they cook it fresh to perfection, highly recommend it here

The cage is very handily located in HIS. Pleasant staff and good Amercano black coffee. Gives access to toilets.

Used to be a great place for a lunch, will not be back!!!

This is well off the beaten track but it has a comprehensive menu with big portions, reasonable prices and has always offered quick service. There is also free wifi and Inverness's greatest shop of all: HIS is part of the building!

This place is way over priced for what you get, when we ordered we were told if you get bacon and link in the small breakfast that you will get 2 of each item. the order was wrong as there was no link and some of the other rolls had burnt items inside we were also advised there would be toast with it but again this was not there. not very good when you have paid over £22 for 6 individual things, £5.50 for a 5 item breakfast is a total joke considering almost everywhere in Inverness will do almost double that for the same price, still hungry after eating it. It was a complete waste of money and will never go back here.

The best baked potatoes in Inverness (they even beat M & S) and the accompanying salad is good as well. The breakfasts are great too. The staff are all nice and one or two go out their way to really help. Also caters for gluten free.

Well I have visited a few cobs cafe lately.

Favourite stop-off for a bit of father-son bonding. We arrived late today but they made me an amazing salad.

Have been in this shop loads of times, and never knew it had a cafe. We had some great lentil soup, and it was very reasonably priced. Very busy, and quite noisy with lots of kids in there - possibly as it was a Saturday. Would nip in again for a quick snack.

Went here on Sunday for Breakfast and it was lovely.Did not have to wait long and the staff were nice too.Inexpensive.

My husband has visited here twice now and has not been disappointed. The service is friendly and prices are reasonable. Staff are welcoming and the food/drinks are good value.

Was in today 28/01/2016. Had to search for CLEAN cutlery. Eventually got some. Ordered food one large breakfast and one small also asked for a bowl of chips to be told they don't sell chips? After around two to three mouthfulls off our grease piled cheap and nasty ingredient based breakfast we go t up and left asked why we told them food was disgusting. No offer off refund or appoligy. Just list two good customers and many more as I'll be letting all work mates and friends too steer clear

Great place for lunch. Huge portion of mac cheese chips and peas for under £6..full breakfast also good value.

I would have previously recommended Cobbs @ HIS as one of the best places for a cooked breakfast in Inverness. They had the winning combination of good food, good prices, and obliging staff.

Ordered special. Scotch pie with chips and beans. Also cheeseburger with chips.

Went in today for a coffee and was shocked at the level of service. It was the worst I have ever experienced anywhere.

Great that an industrial retail space has such good food tucked away within it. Great reason to stop for a browse. Very quick service.

I had read the other reviews but went anyway and am glad I did. The place was great. Had a real English tea garden feel. The soup was wonderful and full of veg and flavor. The sandwiches were good and fresh and the scones were great! It's a great place to refuel after a walk up the river or play at the park.

Hidden Gem in H.I.S. Good homely food at reasonable prices. Quick service in a café style atmosphere.

Not a good experience today, my takeaway baked potato took over 20 minutes, although they were sitting in an oven behind the counter. To make matters worse the potato was hard in the middle so I could only eat about a third of it. They did apologise that they had forgotten the order but the café was understaffed for a busy lunchtime and there were other disgruntled customers complaining about the time it took to get their orders. Would not rush back unless they sort out their staffing issues

Next to a fantastic garden, this care serves a wide range of hamemade cakes- definately worth sampling!

Bacon roll/coffee, soft drink and full breakfast £10, what a (great)price and food was really good, staff friendly and efficient, no view but who cares when the food is this good

If you like a bacon roll then this is the place. It is worth going out of your way to visit them w because if tis such great value for money.

Came to see the Loch Ness Exhibition center and needed a bite to eat. Friendly service and fresh food. Lots of little cakes and cookies to try. We had the Panini tuna melt. Was great.

great value and good food,excellent for light snack....the bacon roll was lovely ....coffee was nicely brewed....excellent value....but children didn't like the seating...more for a quick snack and go kind of place

this cafe is near to where our Jacobite cruise started for Lochness. Nice place to chill, relax with good tasting coffee and snacks. very beautiful location. Nice, Good, tasty

We were shopping at HIS and decided to have a light bite to eat. We ordered bacon rolls and were stunned by the size of them. I was hungry but was hard pushed to eat two! Bacon rolls are definitely recommended.

We were shopping in HIS and popped into Cobbs for a coffee and snack, nice atmosphere with good friendly staff in the middle of an industrial shop and sitting along side builders and general public all enjoying the food and drinks, excellent "lite bite" place

We were in the shop of Highland Industrial Supplies and wanted a quick lunch. The café is a bit of a transport café trying to be a bit up market but not succeeding. We went for the soup and sandwich deal which from the description on the black board, it sounded like they freshly prepared your sandwich to order. However, it was help yourself to what was left from the pre-packed sandwiches from the cooler! The soup was tasty but we wont be going back again in a hurry.

This restaurant situated within HIS is very good indeed, I have never had a bad dish there. Today we had the Xmas lunch of turkey with all the trimmings! This was absolutely superb and at £5.50p PP must be the biggest bargain in the UK!!

Lovely café efficient service and great value for breakfast after a sunday morning swim, great value fry up, bacon rolls and yummy scones.... and perfect to pick up whatever you need for afternoon DIY

This is one of the best value cafes in Inverness. The surroundings are not great; it is in an industrial suppliers in the Longman industrial estate but it is worth searching for. Prices are considerably less than many other overpriced cafes in Inverness and not at the expense of food quality. Service is always friendly.

Worth finding! Fantastic bacon rolls and good home-made soups! Self-service cafe really - not many tables and can be busy. Will be back though!

If you're ever in Inverness and enjoy a bacon roll then head for the Cobbs restaurant at HIS.

We have been visiting here for years to use the bar and restaurant and have never stayed.

Service is pretty much what you'd expect from a dog-eared local pub that doesn't really do food, and I think the staff would be more at home there. Not sure how this place succeeds, but I guess it's the sort of place where it doesn't really matter if you don't go back because there's another coach load of mugs due in next week.
