Bob And Berts in Falkirk

I ordered a regular Iced Vanilla Latte (£3.95) and my girlfriend ordered a regular Iced Caramel Latte (£3.95). We got a piece of Creme Egg Brownie (£3.25) to share as the prices of the cakes were ridiculously expensive for the portion size given. We also got a portion of fries (£3). The piece of brownie we were given was so stale you could’ve built a wall with it - I highlighted this to the server and she replaced it with a fresh piece. We liked the coffee, the brownie was nice and the chips were adequate. Overall, we would return for the coffee if we were in the area again but feel their prices could be a bit more reasonable.

Quick drop-in to Bob & Bert’s to try the Chicken Sizzler Burger! 2 chicken goujons, chipotle mayo, hash brown, cheese, mixed leaves and garlic mayo! Excellent stuff! It’s like B&Bs equivalent of a KFC Tower Burger. Better bun at B&B, though! Also tried the BLT on sourdough, which I’d also recommend! Very fresh, lovely bread and great quality bacon! Obviously had to had the Peanut Butter stack, ‘cause who doesn’t? The cinnamon bun was ok, but had been sitting out a while I think, as it was a little hard. The Salted Caramel cake was also lovely and MOIST (😆) but not overly strong with salted caramel flavour. That aside, a great feed. Not the cheapest, I’ll admit, but tasty.

Food was nice and tasty ,service was reasonably fast sun beaming down decent street music ,nothing to dislike

Bob and Berts Not something I would recommend after ordering a cake for collection today in Falkirk for my sons birthday this afternoon and receiving a fully frozen cake, 6 year old was broken hearted after choosing this specific cake for his party. And it was too late to find anything comparable. Apparently staff forgot to take it out the freezer but brushed it off saying it was a bit frozen and would be fine for his party 3 hrs later if I left it out for a while, clearly not when it should have been defrosted in a fridge for 8 hours. Paid fuel, 2 x car parking and a 6 year old with no birthday cake. #bobandberts

This is on the high street of Falkirk.It is nicely decorated and bright.There is plenty on the menu to choose from cakes,pancakes,waffles,burgers, breakfast items,hot dog sausages etc.We just had a light lunch.The staff were friendly.The food was fine and hot.The drinks were ok and some of the tables needed tidied.Overall ok pit stop.

This used to be a favourite with our family when we were in Falkirk. But visited today and was gobsmacked at the increase in prices. I appreciate everything is becoming more expensive but we were almost £17 for two coffees and 2 pieces of cake. One large and one medium coffee which I reckoned to be £7. Making it almost £10 for a slice of cake and a glorified traybake. The cake was 1” thick at the edge….at least half the size that they used to serve. We won’t be rushing back I’m afraid.

I was waiting at the counter waiting to get served. My intention was to sit in for a meal. I was completely ignored by staff and 2 customers behind me were given menus and asked to sit at a table that was already in short supply. I walked away disgusted at the terrible service

I visited on 02 November with family. Initially we came in for drinks but seeing they had a vegan sausage roll we decided to grab food. My mum and sister got paninis, which they said were OK. I took a fork full of sausage roll and it melted the roof of mouth. I make no exaggeration I am blistered from just behind my front teeth, to my throat. It was far, far too hot. Admittedly I didn't let staff know as the queue was out the door and we only had around 15 mins before we had to leave but I will report to the council as this is a safety issue. I would go back for drinks but I'll never eat there again. Rating 2 stars rather than 1 purely because the staff were lovely.

Lunch with the family, the food is nice enough, service is ok, prices are ok and it’s a lot less sticky than my previous visit but overall fairly average, ok for a quick lunch if you’re up the town I guess.

Ranch Burger & chai latte is perfect!! It’s one of our favourite and we go there every week. Would highly recommend it!!!

I would like to start by saying that I cannot fault the staff on the counter, who were very cheerful and friendly, however the food was a different story. My daughter and I called in here while in Falkirk today, looking for something for lunch. Being vegetarian, we ordered the falafel burgers, which came with fries. The food was served quite quickly but my daughter immediately found some bacon on her plate and when I checked mine, it had bacon in too. I went to the counter to complain and, in fairness, the lady I took to be the manager or supervisor was extremely apologetic, said it shouldn't have happened and that she would get new meals organised for us. Unfortunately, she came back to me within a couple of minutes to say that unbeknownst to her, the chips are cooked in the same fat as the crispy bacon (and who knows what else?!) so she couldn't guarantee that the same thing wouldn't happen again. Obviously, this method of cooking means that the meal is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans, so I declined a replacement meal and asked for my money back instead. Again, the lady was very apologetic and completely understood my point of view, I think she was expecting my response when she came to tell me about the cooking method. She gave me my money back without any issue and a card for a free drink at some point in the future, even though she said she knew it would not make up for the incident. She also said that she would be suggesting to whoever it concerns that the cooking method should be changed. Unless or until this is done, however, this restaurant is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. I have given two stars because the attitude of the staff member was exemplary, however the other stars have been lost due to the food issue.

I went for lunch with my boy, who's only 3. Ordered a Pannini, toastie, and Pancakes. The pannini was OK, if not a bit dry. The side salad needs more effort. Some, Cucumber tomatoes and sliced onion with couple cubes feta and couple olives doesn't make it a salad. toastie had far too much cheese, and the Pancakes were not fresh made. The coffee is decent, and the selection of cakes is good. The staff were great and really friendly and helpful.

When we arrived the waitress was clearing dishes away from the table but didn’t wipe it down before we sat down, poor hygiene under normal circumstances but unforgivable during a pandemic, I had poached eggs and bacon with toast, the poached eggs hadn’t been drained properly meaning they were dripping with water and the bacon must be the cheapest bacon available to buy, very low quality with little flavour, there are better places for breakfast in Falkirk so I don’t recommend anyone goes to Bob and Berts !

Dropped in for a snack on a friends recommendation and was not disappointed. Opted for a bacon roll with a hot chocolate. My wife has allergies but had a bacon roll a gluten free muffin and a decaff capuchino. The rolls were super floury like a real bakers roll and a generous portion of bacon. My wife went off to do an errand so I had a second hot chocolate. Will definetely return and would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.

Been here on a few occasions and it has been excellent each time. There is always a great selection of cakes and plenty of hot food choices for lunch. Highly recommend bob and berts

Easy chilled vibe with a self service style, works well and food was great. Eggs Benedict was great, crispy bacon was brill. Only one thing I would mention is that the tables could be wiped more quickly but overall service was good.

Great relaxed place. Good service and the food is good high standard. I recommend the breakfast soda scone and the hot chocolate saves you having the much wanted array of cakes 😂

I have been in a few times and find the coffee rather good (americano) you may have to wait a little while in the busy period, staff are pleasant and helpful, at times the music is a bit on the loud side. It seems to be styled on an American dinner style, free WiFi and drinking water, and the coffee is resonably priced not many options for vegitarians on the menu. There is a loyalty card free coffee after the ninth one bought.

First time back home for 2 years and in a run down Falkirk town centre we walked into this Classy wee Gem.

My first to any Bob & Berts restaurant and I was impressed by the service, friendly staff and quality of food. It was absolutely mobbed when we went but we managed to squeeze into a small table and moved to a bigger one when a group of young lads moved. I enjoyed the food but thought it was over-priced for what you get. Good but not great, although the portion sizes are quite generous.

Stopped in for a coffee before a meeting around the corner, in June 2019. A nice warm welcome from staff and a good sized tasty Americano. It was about 9am so not very busy, but the place looked clean and tidy and had a nice feel to it. Would recommend, and would call in again if I was in the area.

Visiting Falkirk for the day we came across Bob and Bert's by chance and dropped in for a late lunch. We both opted for the Bob's burger and were very impressed firstly with it's presentation ( the food was served piping hot as was the plate it was served on , something that fancier restaurants should take note of ) and secondly with the actual taste of the burger. The staff were very helpful and we would have no hesitation in revisiting .

My mum and I have been into bob and berts three or four times since it opened. We always get spud stack for me and poached eggs for mum with bacon. We sat at a booth near the kitchen and were struck with a really horrible smell like rotten fish, mum could see into the kitchen and said that the back door was open when it closed the smell wasn't there, didn't fill us with hope. Our food came out but mum's poached eggs were watery and really not good, we returned them, they came back out and they were fine but then her toast was burnt black and her bacon was like cardboard. Not good. There are too many cafes in falkirk to choose from, we won't ba back. Not cheap either.

Had breakfast here with two others, my eggs benedict were excellent, I've had very poor attempts in swanky hotels in the past.

We went here to try it out. Lovely place and had a gluten free menu which means is can go back with my daughter. I had eggs benedict with lovely crispy bacon, so did one friend and the other one had a full breakfast which looked yummy Will be back. Staff were really good and knowledgeable you order and pay then get an order number x

Dragged into town with family was not really keen on going to this place to be honest.

In for brunch today and it was really good, buzzing atmosphere, going like a fair and lots of staff. When ordering, staff were really friendly & informative, even tho they were obviously working hard..

We went for breakfast and we ordered eggs royale and poached eggs . Now in this day and age there are many ways to poach an egg , the way this cafe does it is probably the worst . All our eggs were done in water with vinegar added , This makes them inedible especially when added to hollandaise sauce . Looking around at other diners we did notice some nice looking dishes . So to sum it up . i'll probably go back but i'll avoid the poached eggs dishes

Place feels like a school canteen. No atmosphere, could do with some low level background music. Tables not cleared quickly. Food extremely poor. Baked potato with cheese and coleslaw had a light dusting of cheese on the top so disappointing. Only about two options for vegetarians. Left hungry and £35 worse off. Never again. Only positive was cake and coffee were ok.

Popped in when first place we were going for breakfast was closed, and if honest was not expecting much but to my surprise had a fantastic breakfast served by very friendly staff, we both had the full breakfast and was very tasty and filling, clearly fresh produce of a good standard. Will definitely be back to try more from the extensive menu, So much more to offer than your run if the mill coffee shop chains,.

This is our second visit, although there was nothing wrong with our tea and traybakes there was dirty tables and the floor didn't appear to have been cleaned all day. The music being played could be better and not as loud.

I had a filter coffee and I'm sorry to say it was horrible .It was completely tasteless . The staff were friendly enough and wee ones had food they enjoyed .

This place is funky from the outside and funky inside as well, just a coffee shop but a bit of effort made to enhance the drab coffee experience, nice place, good coffee and right in the main shopping area, liked it and will be back

My wife and I called in here for lunch a week ago while shopping. This Falkirk shop is the first branch of the Northern Irish coffee shop chain to be established in Scotland, opening its doors on 11 October 2018. Another branch opened in Dunfermline in December. The chain, specialising in quality coffee and fresh food, was founded in Portstewart in 2013, expanding to 16 stores across Northern Ireland.

This is a relatively new cafe, it is on the High Street so there is no on site parking, A good choice is available of cakes and coffee, the cafe is self service. Service is a bit slow but the food is good.

Always keen to support new local cafe/ restaurants. First visit was very impressed with baked potato plus 2 accompanying salads. Returned for breakfast and was very disappointed, fried egg was over cooked and burnt on one side. Replaced with the same problem. Latest visit was very disappointing, quality of food and presentation is not consistent. Coffee is very good though. Hopefully things will improve as Falkirk deserves good quality eateries

Visited here for lunch ended up with a takaway baked potato which was lovely. The salad was pesto pasta and chickpea salad. Would recommend and will visit again. Big menu, lots of choice.

Really nice hot chocolate ! I enjoy it more than costa ! The temperature was able to drink right away and it’s just right for a nice winter night :) not tried food yet though but hit chocolate is great

Initial impressions were good. Loved the decor and the presentation of the pastries/cakes etc at the point of sale - Plenty to choose from on a vast menu including vegetarian and gluten free items.
