The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Looked like a good place for food and a beer. Oh dear….. what a disappointment, the restaurant was no reservations. Was seated at a table close to the open door, windy and where the smokers were. Asked to move to an alternate table to be brushed aside by the waitress. Awful attitude from her. My husband asked how long the wait was for food and if we could move to a free table, she said not long for food and was snotty about moving us away from the wind and stench of cigarette smoke. Food looked extremely unappealing when it came out. Decided not to waste our time in this awful place. Rude, unprofessional, dirty, not what it claims to be. Do not bother.

Rooms are a solid 3star. Very comfortable with a large bathroom. Lots of hot water. Lively bar but rooms were plenty quiet. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was so good. Eggs Florentine, delicious. Great location. .

Iconic pub? Iconic to my bank account. 7 British Sterling Pounds for a single Guinness. Are they taking the toucan? Used to be decent now can barely afford a drink here. Shame, and they wonder why younger folk don't go to the pub

Pre booked a table for a group of friends day out. £10 deposit for this which comes off any drinks ordered. Place has a good vibe. But beware, the bar is very busy with no table service unless you’ve booked the Boozy Brunch.

Mixed feelings. The place was messy and tables were dirty and toilets were very dirty and with toilet paper. When we went it was on a quiet weekday, we ordered two hot chocolates but the staff forgot about our order and went on a croissant break. We had to remind them about our order after 15 minutes and we got an apology but I don’t see how something like this can happen when the place is so quiet. Overall it’s a convenient cafe to go to also considering the lack of cafes in the area but it could be better managed.

Rotten, waste of money, stuff was binned. Don't recommend at all

Wonderful spot with a lovely atmosphere, not only for Harry Potter fans. The staff are amazing, and the butterscotch beer is a magical touch✨A great place to relax and soak in the charm.

Table service only means we had to wait forever to get served & then a long time for drinks. When they finally arrived, beer is served in cans and the wine glass had lipstick all over it. No team to ask for the bill - had to go inside to pay. Chefs coming out to smoke in whites every 5mins. Many people around us sat down and left because of long waits. You are losing business which is a shame as the view & location is nice, and I do feel bad for the girl running around trying to make it all work.

The Patisserie Valerie Edinburgh deliberately tried to steel my money and charge me extra money. when I challenged the cost he said he made a mistake and said he would refund. He then told me I don't have to tap the machine again and I will still get a refund. I contacted my bank and they said he is lying and the card has to be tapped on the card holder to get a refund.

Ice maker was broken the day i visited but this place has great view, nice outdoor seating and friendly staff! Xx

Fui a desayunar allí. El benedicto de los huevos era excelente. Pero la próxima vez que fui a desayunar, los huevos escalfados con eglefino ahumado no estaban muy bien, el eglefino ahumado estaba muy seco. Quizás usar salmón ahumado ya que el eglefino realmente no fue

Friendly staff, prompt service. Generous and tasty portions of Scottish bar meal classics. We shared the haggis, neeps and tatties starter and then had the fish and chips and burger for our mains.

Walking in early on Sunday we were greeted by Ellie. Even though they weren't open we got a coffee and tea to sit outside with. After such a warm welcome and speaking to the owner we stayed for lunch. We both had the delicious Sunday roast. We would both recommend a visit to this lovely Bistro. Not far from Edinburgh but felt a million miles away enjoying our meal.in the sun. Thank you xx

Had an amazing time at Slug & Lettuce, Faith was our sever and she was out of this world! 5/5 stars, couldn’t recommend enough.

Great place with good food right under the railway bridge can be a bit noisy though from the trains
