Came in here after a number of people suggested it. Didn’t have food as nothing really appealed but it is usually coffee shop fair. Had an iced Americano and asked for it to be in a take out cup - I prefer over sit in cups and this didn’t happen which is fine but was a bit like…ugh. I think the good thing about this place is how spacious it is - deceptively so. There’s lots of space so it’s a nice place to be. Also, we spotted some celebrities. So a good spot to do that (Channel 4 building across the street).

This is your quintessential Glasgow pub. It's big. It's noisy. It's packed with happy patrons all hours of the day. There are lots of servers behind the bar. They will pour your Guinness perfectly for you. This place has been around for a long time & they ain't messing with a successful formula.

We needed a dog friendly restaurant near where we were staying. This seemed the best option. And WOW, what a great choice.it was clear from my phone call that they were busy, and we had to wait a few minutes for our reserved table. But we didn’t care. A rushed-off-her-feet waitress found time to give a special welcome to our very elderly dog. Once seated we were treated like VIPs. The menu was clear and varied. My wife opted for the excellent battered haddock and chips. I chose the ‘special’, a beautifully presented dish of sole, with a subtle and balanced sauce, and chips to die for! The two chefs, we were told, were new. I hope they will be staying!! And the atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Work commitments and an insecure rescued dog mean that we don’t eat out very often. But this really was a night to remember

Booked a table for 8pm. Arrived and was seated on time. Starter appeared around 8.35…..main course at 9.40…..green slop Thai curry, bland, hardly any rice. Waiting staff were very apologetic and kept explaining that delay was down to it being Saturday evening, and a full restaurant!!! Imagine that!? More fool me. That’s three times I’ve found this place lacking.

Walking in early on Sunday we were greeted by Ellie. Even though they weren't open we got a coffee and tea to sit outside with. After such a warm welcome and speaking to the owner we stayed for lunch. We both had the delicious Sunday roast. We would both recommend a visit to this lovely Bistro. Not far from Edinburgh but felt a million miles away enjoying our meal.in the sun. Thank you xx

We always visit here when visiting Edinburgh on a couple of nights for our evening meal (as we have a Flaming Grill close to us at home and know the brand). It’s not far from the city and we like a change from the tourist restaurants and bars in the city. We’ve always found everyone to be very friendly and this latest visit was no exception. There is a good range of drinks and the food is served hot and in a timely manner. We will definitely be back again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Was on the island for work. Was needing to relieve myself after back to back visits before getting the boat to Largs. I visited and this cafe. I ordered and purchased a cheeseburger to take away (boat to catch) £5.15!! No chips, side salad, nadda. Paid foe the burger then asked to use the restroom, my reason for popping in, they dont have one. Its not a deli or a take away counter, its a cafe with many spaces for eating in, and no toilets? And staff unable to tell me the nearest toilet. Waited 10mins or so for my burger, then left. Burger was nice enough, kind you would get at a fair, but absolutley not worth the price.
