Super comfortable spot and shame it’s closed, hoping for a good replacement. Had solid peaty whiskey selection!

Food is good pub food some dishes are better than others the burgers are good. Macaroni is good. They do meals for £20 for 2 courses. If you look for reasonable pub grub, this is it.

We spent new years eve here and thoroughly enjoyed the night. The staff ensured that the bar was not overly congested and patrons couldove freely. I believe that we spoke with Harry the manager who was a gem. Highly recommend.

Staff were amazing , food was amazing , very welcoming and friendly atmosphere dog friendly also which even though we didn’t have any dogs with us is nice to see very good value for money also 10/10 all over

Good food, nice atmosphere but pint pouring could use some work

If you just wanna stay in a good and very central location and don't really care about anything else, this is the place for you. Beds weren't great, springs had gone on my friends bed and mine was way too soft causing backpain. Of the already way too few showers and toilets, which were also tiny some where closed for maintenance over a super busy period. Unacceptable if you want to accommodate the amount of people they do. Dorms were quite bright due to outside lights and no proper way of keeping them out. Whole hostel could do with some renovations. Staff is hit & miss, some of them were very nice, others seemed like they hated talking to people, which is rather unfortunate if they work at reception.

We visited The Braided Fig on Saturday 16th November at lunchtime and had an all round excellent experience. Brilliant and attentive service, amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Will be back to try the incredible looking burgers that kept arriving on tables around us.

A nice place for an evening meal. There was four in our party and we were seated promptly and served drinks quickly. A short review of a wonderfully limited but connected menu and we all picked the same dish with variations. The haggis bons bons were the bomb! As was the tempura prawn.

Everytime I buy a coffee to go for some reason the barista find a way to play with the cup which she uses for my coffee and on top of that she puts her finger inside the cup !!?? And specifically 1 barista she touches her face her mouth all time (maybe stress) but don't put ur fingers inside the mug or cup ..that is disgusting Health and safety issue No manners Customer is supposed to come there to relax .....thats not the only issue in the store Some staff they think they cool ..No u not u should be professional cool Not street cool ... Annoying BS all time

For a hotel with perfectly adequate rooms, their staff, service and food make it a pleasurable and comfortable stay..thanks Iona and staff!

Service very unpleasant, we ordered three meals and did not receive cutlery, I do not recommend, so far the worst establishment we have visited in Edinburgh.

Things have gone down hill at The Coorie Inn . Apparently asking for an extra slice of bread to go with your pate is not ok , even when you offer to pay for it . The waiter asks how you would like your steak and , when you say very well done , they bring it pink . You tell the waiter you have a dairy intolerance and they bring you a meal prepared with dairy products . They say they gave a Vegan Menu and the only dessert available is sorbet . No Christmas Crackers this year ?
