Cafe Continental in Fife

I was here on Saturday for my friends hen do. We had the room at the back and it was absolutely stunning with the decorations 😍 The food was amazing as always, we had a cocktail making class which was so much fun! Cocktails tasted amazing too. All the staff were brilliant and so welcoming. Aine made the experience so much more brilliant as she joined in and was such a laugh and went along with our fun and laughter. Thank you.

Was here for a hen day which included cocktail making class. They had decorated the room fabulously. Personalised to our needs. Such a friendly and great service from all rhe staff, especially the owner, who humour matched ours throughout the masterclass. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend ro anyone for either food, drinks or an event

We had our friends hen do here yesterday. From the moment we booked it til we left Anie and the staff were all so helpful. We had the room at the back and it was decorated for us arriving….it was stunning. I’m a fussy eater but there was so much to choose from on the menus. We did cocktail making, this was soo much fun. Anie explained why each ingredient was needed…but we were all more interested in drinking them 😂. She was soo much fun and really mingled with us. I’ll definitely be back for food and drinks and would recommend here to anyone. We had the sweetie cart too!

My friends had been given a wish list for my hen and boy they did not dissapoint. Local, afternoon with food and drinks. Aine was an amazing host who put up with our banter so well. Cant believe ive never been here before and will be back 😁

I was so excited to win a Cocktail Master Class on Facebook for me and few friends. Aine hosted the session and her knowledge of Cocktails and ingredients was amazing. We each made 2 cocktails, French Martini followed by a Bramble.Then picked a cocktail we would like to see made by Aine, a few I've never seen or tried before. Sampling them gave us great opportunity to try new cocktails. What great session, thank you Aine. I would highly recommend you visit Cafe Contintal and try their cocktails, they are first class.

We visited Cafe Continental today for a meal to celebrate my Mum's birthday. I think it's safe to say that we are absolutely 100% glad that we decided to pop in. The lady serving us (I think her name was Aine?) was very warm, open, chatty and friendly. But, my goodness, the food from here is absolutely INCREDIBLE. My Mum thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Caesar salad (she said it's the best chicken caesar salad she's ever had!) My Mum appreciated that the salad didn't have tons of onions or vinegar in it, and that they got the balance just right. I really, really enjoyed my Prime Burger with Chunky Chips. The burger was nicely grilled with bags of flavour, and the bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and brioche bun topped off what is EASILY one of the BEST burgers I have ever had in a cafe/restaurant. The chips were nice and chunky, being nice and crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside, the way chips should be cooked. My Mum tried one and agreed me with they were expertly cooked. Kudos and compliments to the chef for the food! The prices for the food and drink we thought are very reasonable and decently priced. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was! Overall, one of the nicest dining experiences I've had in Kirkcaldy/Fife, and Cafe Continental comes highly recommended by us. I'm definitely looking forward to going back at some point in the future.

Fantastic visit on Saturday night. The lady serving us lady in red we sang to her was something else. Made our visit memorable with her charm and witty chat. The food was very good and really enjoyed cocktails. Thanks for a fantastic night.

DONT FORGET ABOUT THE CAFE! Our team dropped in after an early finish on a Friday and the service/atmosphere was brilliant. Such a nice place to eat/drink, would recommend to anyone!

Went out for lunch today with a friend, had a lovely experience. Staff member and owner were exceptionally tentative and the food was great. Would highly recommend!

Honestly this place is forgotten about because where it is but we had a meal and drink here yesterday the food was outstanding and aine's service is even better, all the cocktails are unreal to!

Such a refreshing experience today for myself, and family. Often struggling to find good quality food in Fife we stumbled upon Cafe Continental and decided to give it a try. Upon receiving our food we were delighted with the quality and presentation. Fresh, well cooked healthy ingredients it was a lovely change from the high street. Would recommend to everyone!!

Visited on Wednesday, for a Wednesday it was busy. Served by a lovely blond lady. Very friendly. Food was excellent, wine was great. Ladies to toilets need a freshen up with paint but the owner did apologise and said they’re waiting on the painter. Very happy visit again. Look forward to my next visit.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here last night. There were 15 of us including children and adults of all ages. Food was excellent, as was the service. We had the benefit of the private room as our party was big, which was great for all the chat, and comfortable as we had children. We will definitely be back. The dinner menu was excellent quality and great value. The children’s menu was ideal for our six year old. Happy to recommend Cafe Continental. Thank you to Aine and your team!

Visited on Sunday 14th April’24 with discerning Mother and Aunt. Manageress (I assume) warmly greeted our arrival and showed us to our seats. We loved the decor and style of the restaurant very much and picked Pappardelle con Polpette, Chicken Al Freso and Prime Steak Burger for our lunch. All devoured with ease and as we say in the family “loved the scran n’at”. With a late breakfast earlier in the day along with generous portions, sadly that put paid to a dessert course. Manageress was attentive and her infections smile and friendly demeanour made us feel most welcome and at ease, service was impeccable and on leaving was very chatty and courteous, wishing my Aunt well on her move down south. Would highly recommend based on our visit for variety, quality of food and service. Will defo return when next in Kirkcaldy.

Cafe Continental never fails to disappoint. Great food and drinks, amazing atmosphere and Aine is a fabulous manager. She always goes above and beyond to make your visit the best it can be. One of my favourite places to go.

Had a lovely meal and wine in here tonight, love the chill atmosphere. The service was second to none, Aine and Carly couldn’t do enough for us. Would thoroughly recommend the chicken tikka starter.

Best pub in town with the best bar staff

Contemporary and relaxed venue with friendly service. We chose the festive menu, amazing value at £24.95 for 3 courses. Food was cooked to perfection, good portion sizes and plenty options to choose from. Particularly recommend the biscoff cheesecake, delicious. Loved the fancy ice cubes with berries which made for a very tasty gin and tonic.

Went on Friday evening table of 15 and even though the bar and restaurant were both extremely busy our night went without fault. Food all came out at same time and was delicious!! Big shout out to all the busy, friendly staff. Will definitely return soon.

We visited Cafe Continental as two couples for dinner on Saturday 26th August. We chose from the three courses and a bottle of wine for two menu at £45. It was excellent value. Everyone had something different and it was all perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient and friendly staff, even changing tables. We look forward to our next visit. A little gem!

Evangelia gini was an amazing part of our hen night. So talkative and attentive Love her brows! Very nice and friendly very helpful and kind.

The dear lady wife and I went to Café Continental to catch up with old neighbours who'd since moved up country so were in a great mood even before going into the place. I know the owner Aine through our mutual involvement at the local rugby club but this was the first time we'd been in each other's company in her business setting. Fair to say the mood just got happier and happier as the night went on. The place was spotless, the range of drinks superb, the wonderful host was attentive without being at all over-bearing or intrusive, and the quality of the food was out of this world. One of the best fine dining nights out I have had with my wife in a long time and we've committed to it not being a one-off, we shall be back to Café Continental before too long. Bravo Aine, bravo.

This place is amazing to visit in Kirkcaldy, you almost wouldn’t know it’s here but once you know, you know. The. Staff are friendly, always happy to help. We always go for the 3 course with a bottle of wine, absolutely amazing, the food here is great, always delicious and not mini portions for a meal deal. The cocktails are far better than other places, the espresso martini if top notch. Can’t fault this place at all, love it 😍😍

Visited 08/07/2023 Had the very best night with friends at cafe continental. My friends and I had the 3 course menu with wine (£45 for2) excellent value. Haggis bon bon to start 10/10 Beef burger as main and sticky toffee pudding just outstanding, those hand cut chips which have been mentioned in other reviews are true. Merlot wine, nice big wine glasses, ice water and topped up without request. The host was just so friendly and rushed off her feet as the place was full in the restaurant and the main bar area. It was very loud which meant we had to shout at times but added to the night. We finished with cocktails and they are also as good as the previous reviews suggest. Great night had by all.

Wow, first time visiting, lovey place, friendly staff and such a variety with food and drinks, me and my partner really enjoyed our visit, food was amazing and couldn’t fault the staff, would definitely visit again.

Rating 5 stars as this isn't negative on their part. As of 4:47pm GMT on the 8th of July 2023 there are currently scammers using their number to call other people, I called back and the woman who works there informed me that they have had a few call backs of people wondering why they had a missed call. Putting this on here Incase others have similar experiences.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to Aine and the two amazing bar staff for hosting my Mum's surprise 70th party last Saturday. The party was held in the private room which was absolutely perfect for our group size. We had arranged a buffet which was superb and the service was second to none. Thank you again for making this a magical, special night that we won't forget - everyone had a fabulous time. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone thinking of doing the same thing.

Visited with my friends for a long over due catch up, Cafe Continental came as a recommendation. Well, what a recommendation. 6 out of 5. Love the food, each course was fantastic and sticky toffee, I’ll come back for that alone;cocktails were extremely good, not watered down like some places, boozy cocktails not topped up with juices, they really know cocktails. The risotto and thai green curry were both good. Portions were generous. Calamari was soggy, oily, and very unappetising—perhaps this sort of food doesn’t pack well, but would not order those again.

The Cafe Continental serves delicious food. And their service is second to none. Just Eat drivers however are not nearly as good. We collected the order as the Just Eat driver just marked the food as delivered and didn't even go to the restaurant to collect the food. So, Cafe Continental a big well done. Pizza with ham. Base was soggy, pizza was cut but the ham on top wasn't (inconvenient and messy) Overpriced and could be a whole lot better.
