Lovely place. We went for the 3 courses and bottle of wine deal for £45. Food was fantastic and value for money. We will be back.

Visited on Sunday 14th April’24 with discerning Mother and Aunt. Manageress (I assume) warmly greeted our arrival and showed us to our seats. We loved the decor and style of the restaurant very much and picked Pappardelle con Polpette, Chicken Al Freso and Prime Steak Burger for our lunch. All devoured with ease and as we say in the family “loved the scran n’at”. With a late breakfast earlier in the day along with generous portions, sadly that put paid to a dessert course. Manageress was attentive and her infections smile and friendly demeanour made us feel most welcome and at ease, service was impeccable and on leaving was very chatty and courteous, wishing my Aunt well on her move down south. Would highly recommend based on our visit for variety, quality of food and service. Will defo return when next in Kirkcaldy.

Cafe Continental never fails to disappoint. Great food and drinks, amazing atmosphere and Aine is a fabulous manager. She always goes above and beyond to make your visit the best it can be. One of my favourite places to go.

Best pub in town with the best bar staff

Contemporary and relaxed venue with friendly service. We chose the festive menu, amazing value at £24.95 for 3 courses. Food was cooked to perfection, good portion sizes and plenty options to choose from. Particularly recommend the biscoff cheesecake, delicious. Loved the fancy ice cubes with berries which made for a very tasty gin and tonic.

Went on Friday evening table of 15 and even though the bar and restaurant were both extremely busy our night went without fault. Food all came out at same time and was delicious!! Big shout out to all the busy, friendly staff. Will definitely return soon.

Had a Christmas meal & drinks with a large group of friends and would recommend to anyone looking for good quality dining for a reasonable price. We were well catered for by friendly staff & a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

We visited Cafe Continental as two couples for dinner on Saturday 26th August. We chose from the three courses and a bottle of wine for two menu at £45. It was excellent value. Everyone had something different and it was all perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient and friendly staff, even changing tables. We look forward to our next visit. A little gem!

The dear lady wife and I went to Café Continental to catch up with old neighbours who'd since moved up country so were in a great mood even before going into the place. I know the owner Aine through our mutual involvement at the local rugby club but this was the first time we'd been in each other's company in her business setting. Fair to say the mood just got happier and happier as the night went on. The place was spotless, the range of drinks superb, the wonderful host was attentive without being at all over-bearing or intrusive, and the quality of the food was out of this world. One of the best fine dining nights out I have had with my wife in a long time and we've committed to it not being a one-off, we shall be back to Café Continental before too long. Bravo Aine, bravo.

This place is amazing to visit in Kirkcaldy, you almost wouldn’t know it’s here but once you know, you know. The. Staff are friendly, always happy to help. We always go for the 3 course with a bottle of wine, absolutely amazing, the food here is great, always delicious and not mini portions for a meal deal. The cocktails are far better than other places, the espresso martini if top notch. Can’t fault this place at all, love it 😍😍

Visited 08/07/2023 Had the very best night with friends at cafe continental. My friends and I had the 3 course menu with wine (£45 for2) excellent value. Haggis bon bon to start 10/10 Beef burger as main and sticky toffee pudding just outstanding, those hand cut chips which have been mentioned in other reviews are true. Merlot wine, nice big wine glasses, ice water and topped up without request. The host was just so friendly and rushed off her feet as the place was full in the restaurant and the main bar area. It was very loud which meant we had to shout at times but added to the night. We finished with cocktails and they are also as good as the previous reviews suggest. Great night had by all.

Rating 5 stars as this isn't negative on their part. As of 4:47pm GMT on the 8th of July 2023 there are currently scammers using their number to call other people, I called back and the woman who works there informed me that they have had a few call backs of people wondering why they had a missed call. Putting this on here Incase others have similar experiences.

Wow, first time visiting, lovey place, friendly staff and such a variety with food and drinks, me and my partner really enjoyed our visit, food was amazing and couldn’t fault the staff, would definitely visit again.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to Aine and the two amazing bar staff for hosting my Mum's surprise 70th party last Saturday. The party was held in the private room which was absolutely perfect for our group size. We had arranged a buffet which was superb and the service was second to none. Thank you again for making this a magical, special night that we won't forget - everyone had a fabulous time. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone thinking of doing the same thing.

Visited with my friends for a long over due catch up, Cafe Continental came as a recommendation. Well, what a recommendation. 6 out of 5. Love the food, each course was fantastic and sticky toffee, I’ll come back for that alone;cocktails were extremely good, not watered down like some places, boozy cocktails not topped up with juices, they really know cocktails. Visited a few times prior, but more recently with work. Staff very attentive and lovely. All drinks looked amazing! Food was delicious too. Would highly recommend for business or leisure visit.

This place been known to withhold wages from staff after they have left, as working in hospitality at this time of year wasn't hard enough, even temporary staff shouldn't have to worry about not being paid.

Reece, our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was great and he managed to up sale us, which is not easy especially when he had the whole place to run.

Booked a Christmas lunch for today with my friend. It’s a big restaurant and it was empty apart from one other couple having lunch. We didn’t like where we were sitting and the waitress had said that we could choose another table. We found one in a corner, we just sat down and the manager/ owner, came marching over saying , ‘no, no, no , no’ she said we couldn’t sit there as it was reserved the place was empty! She said just go to that table and pointed to the one that was a foot away. We got up snd took 2 steps to the new table. The manger asked me if I had a mask, I said yes, she said you should have it on. Then said sarcastically ‘team work’ please…. It was literally 1 and a half steps to the table! The place was empty!! We decided to leave, her manner was awful and patronising. I am fully vaccinated and boostered, I had a negative lat flow this morning and I wore a mask in her premises as well as checked in on the track n trace. I am also a nurse practitioner working for the nhs 34 yrs , so am very aware of the rules! The distance from one table to the next was about the same as sitting at a table opposite my friend, so no mask required. I can understand why the place was empty if this is her attitude towards customers! Won’t be back ! Got a reply from this manager on Tripadvisor blatantly lying that we were walking through the restaurant with masks and being asked to put them on 3 times…. Absolute lies, she obviously wants to save face for her rude behaviour… avoid this place! Awful!
