The food was fresh and served quickly. The only disappointment was near the end. My partner ordered dessert so I decided to order a pot of tea. Her dessert arrived super fast but my pot of tea did not come. When asking for the bill, I had to ensure I wasn't being charged for something that didn't arrive.

Had dinner there in the pub area overlooking the firth bridge. Excellent.

Great food brilliant atmosphere cant wait for next visit.

Recently had a training day at Thirty Knots and had use of the top floor venue. Perfect for what we needed.Excellent customer service, great food and drinks. Also well lit room, layout and even the temperature was spot on. Highly recommend and will definitely use again

My friend and I had a lovely lunch in the pub. It's a beautiful setting. Service was great as my friend was late, but I was well looked after. Highly recommend.

At short notice, Dovile managed to organise a small function for us for 25 people with family visiting from Australia. We were given the upstairs function room which is excellent with it's own private bar and amazing views of the bridges. The food was excellent and the girl who looked after us upstairs was brilliant (sorry I didn't get her name) Thanks to everyone involved at Thirty knots who made this happen. Gordon Watson

Lovely ambience, lovely staff and great food so what more you ask for? A great view well you’re in luck! Recommended stop for a lovely meal in a great location.

Drinks were smooth, food was yummy and David was a delight! The view of the water and bridge didn’t hurt the experience either. 😊

This was amazing, I was served with Alana and Jack and ate the chicken Nagasaki and a king rib supper. They were both superb and so was the service, il definitely be back.

Great kids menu, superb quality and good portions too. eg £3 for chicken strips starter, £6.50 for burger or Chicken breast and chips. Adults burger and onion rings great too, Fish and chips was decent (fish only ok)

I ordered the pork belly and it was big and tasty but not cooked amazingly. It should have been grilled a bit longer so that it could have been crisped up. The Bao Buns did look tasty. I enjoyed the Beavertown Gamma Ray, it’s much nicer than neck oil.

We’ve just had a lovely meal at Thirty Knots. Great service, amazing food, friendly staff and the views are fab too. Can recommend the lemon & thyme chicken, coconut chicken & the chocolate bomb.

We went to 3 people and took the net... A killing. For dessert, the tofee pudding... It was really good!

David was the most pleasant and kind individual. The food looked awesome, we saw bao buns, chips etc go by but didn't eat. Instead we opted for a liquid barley lunch.

What a great find in searching Maps for restaurants in the area! Great food and fantastic, attentive service in a beautiful restaurant with outstanding views. We had the artisan breads with a lovely olive oil with pomegranate molasses; fish and chips perfectly cooked and sticky toffee pudding for desert. Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

In the pub, my friend's plate was three quarters filled with very average chips, a 'small' fried fish and a tiny ramekin filled with m/peas. I ordered the roast chicken special, minus y/pudding and potatoes,and asked for extra veg instead. The plate came with y/pudding and no extra veg. Poor value for prices charged.

I was with 3 other people and they all enjoyed their food a lot. My meal (feta and tabbouleh salad) was also good, but was missing a few ingredients. When I enquired about this I was told it wasn't missing the ingredients. I felt was a bit argumentative and took me by surprise. The service was very poor in that the staff didn’t bring requested water until my 3rd request. They did not check in with us, and we had to request the check and pay at the bar. Odd that I was disappointed in such a beautiful place in a stunning location serving great food because of very poor service.

Beautiful location and a really stunning restaurant. Had dinner here on a Saturday night, it was busy but still felt comfortable and cosy. The restaurant is well decorated with lovely seating, art work making it feel really luxurious yet warm and inviting. Menu is a good balance of different options, so there should be something to suit everyone. We started with the warm artisan breads that came with a delicious whipped butter? Stunning. Our table had steak and ale pie, the chicken schnitzel and the chicken bao buns... clean plates throughout. Deserts was florida cake, chocolate torte and chocolate, and rasperberry cheesecake. Great service from our server, she was attentive yet gave us plenty of space and time. Excellent location for a special treat.

Second time here , another gorgeous lunch in the restaurant overlooking the bridges . We had the fish and chips and also the coconut chicken . Highly recommend

Sent the following e mail on the 19/08 still no reply evening of the 22nd ....So thought I'd warn everyone! Avoid! Good Morning, I took the family for breakfast yesterday. I had the light breakfast £8.45, said I didn’t want an egg, but wouldn't mind more bacon - so got 2 slices of bacon, 1 sausage, 1/4 of a tomato and bread. My two granddaughters had the Kids breakfast £3.95 one got four sausages & bread and the other had 3 sausages, slice of bacon & bread. I’m at a loss as to why the adults light breakfast is more than double the kids menu with half the items?? We have been several times before, but I haven’t paid for it, so wasn’t aware about the prices. Look forward to your response.

Unfortunately the poor service let this establishment down, I don't know if they were just understaffed at the time but for what they charge I'd at least expect the service to be spot on. The food was nice but not spectacular, the drinks were good though after waiting ages for them. We'll give it another try to see if things have improved (update - we have since been back and things have improved on all fronts, we shall be visiting again)

We came for dinner on Sat 17th August. This was not our first time but it was for our friends who had the best time. They were really impressed by the service and quality of the food. The girl who was assigned to our table was Kerry. She was very bubbly and friendly and also very welcoming. She took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect. We will most definitely be back and I know that our friends will also return at some point. Thank you for yet another wonderful evening Thirty Knots.

He used the function room for my wife’s 40th birthday meal. VIP treatment from start to finish, with a lovely view of the bridges and we were looked after brilliantly. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion!

Why can’t most restaurants these days serve HOT food ? ?. Would’ve sent my dinner back to be heated up however in a party of 8 so stayed quiet. Disappointing afterwards to hear the group had the same issue. The food was nice but please, - why heat the plates if the food is not hot on the plate ? ?

Sorry poor quality and portion of food. I first thought that i was given a half portion of fish and chips. Cup of tea, that came without a saucer, needed to ask for a spoon and also sugar Staff more interested about who was to be given the night off. Would not recommend this place.

Attractive bar and restaurant with beautiful views of the Firth of Forth and the Forth Bridge. It would be nice to sit outside if the weather is good, which unfortunately it wasn't when I visited. I only had a couple of pints, which were good and the price was affordable. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Such a nice atmosphere with wonderful customer service! Their fish and chips were phenomenal; the best I’ve ever had! They were also very accommodating to our group when more people showed up than originally planned. I give a 10 out of 10! Would love to come back sometime.

My favourite of the Buzzworks restaurant group. Great atmosphere and the staff are attentive and the food is amazing Rebecca is an asset to the Buzzworks group She is always smiling, professional and remembers you every time you come. The last time I came I brought friends over from Canada and she made sure we got the window table and was very attentive throughout

We were gifted a Buzzworks voucher and opted for lunch at Thirty Knots in South Queensferry. The restaurant has a fantastic location overlooking the Firth of Forth and the three bridges and the interior of the building is tastefully decorated. The menu has a choice of dishes to suit all tastes and the quality and presentation of the food was first class. The service by a wee Australian lass (Alana?) was friendly and efficient. Don’t be deterred by the recent rogue reviews awarding only one star…..this is an excellent restaurant which we would have no hesitation in recommending to potential diners.

Just had a meal and drinks here for the first time. Staff are really friendly and the food is top notch and delicious.. to top it off the views are amazing. 5 stars.

First visit for lunch and drinks today. The food was delicious, best steak pie! The quiality and pricing of the food was really good. Absolutely beautiful views to sit outside and enjoy a drink or two. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend 👌

Very good view to the bridges and Harbour

Incredible first dinner in Edinburgh! Recommend the rib of pork! On a bed of fries. I ordered mashed potatoes with the pepper sauce! Then dessert! Staff was friendly and accommodating!

Recommended by a renowned hotelier in Edinburgh, Thirty Knots lived up to and exceeded their reputation. The steak and ale pie was sumptuous, the service was attentive and Sam in particular was engaging and fun to work with. We, of course, had the sticky toffee for dessert, and it was marvelous.

The food at Thirty Knots is heavenly and the portions are enormous. The pie is the best I’ve ever had, and the king rib was also divine. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and the location is second to none.

Visited here for the first time, it was my husbands 50th n we'd been on a boat trip..it started to rain so we put our anoraks on and caps on our head.. inside I found bar girl lovely and very polite.. older man (looked like manager) I found very portentous) very rude to say the least.. Food really poor, my order was overcooked and not as described on menu, service dreadful and to cap it all expensive with service charge automatically added. Frankly embarrassed to have taken family to Thirty Knots for birthday dinner and won’t be returning.

Food was average, but simply adding a flat 10% service fee for the below-average service with unfriendly staff is a huge impudence (probably necessary, as the staffing ratio is very high, many were standing around and had nothing to do). Overall the prices are rather high. Recommendation: Better buy a snack at Scotmid and enjoy the sunset on the bench in front of the restaurant ;)

Poor waitress service, battered fish had the grease dripping from it. Unable to taste the fish due to the excessive batter. Expensive for what we got.

The day was absolutely perfect, and I want to extend a special thanks to Kerry and the chef for making it so memorable. Kerry is an absolute asset to your team—her bright and bubbly personality and her willingness to accommodate any request made the day truly special. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, despite some guests arriving late due to traffic. We received numerous compliments from our guests about both the quality of the meal and the outstanding service.

Beautiful pub offering stunning views of the Forfar Rail Bridge. The food is decent and there is a very wide selection of drinks to cater for all tastes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a dog friendly pub.

Was lovely sitting outside, the amazing views of the bridges , toilet accessible and spotless outdoors without having to go into the premises . The service was 1st class as well.

Ah what a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the cool breeze at the outside tables and wonderful service from beautiful Jordan who runs a great pub. Food is good and the beer is cold. Atmosphere is superb, and so is Jordan.

We had our wedding here on Saturday, and it was perfect. We had our full day at Thirty Knots - ceremony, canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet. It was perfect for what we were looking for. The events coordinator was so helpful and helped us plan the perfect day. On the day, everything went smoothly and it was a very relaxing day. All of our guests commented on how delicious all of the food was, and how amazing all of the staff were. Thank you so much!

We have come here for a Sunday roast twice now and it’s a great spot. I get the beef which is tender with great trimmings including a Yorkshire pudding, mash, roasties, broccoli and gravy. I also enjoy their beers on draught and sticky toffee pudding. The food is on the pricier side but it is good and so is the location.

Very relaxing, especially outside in the sun, viewing the 3 Bridges, one of the most beautiful sights in the world, great day.

Owned by the same company that runs the famous Scott's at the local marina, the food is familiar but in a much more relaxed environment - highly recommended for a relaxed family meal out!

Had a lovely meal (plus a couple of pints) with a good friend at 30 Knots tonight. He and I are both very local, living on the High Street in Queensferry. It's fantastic that Buzzworks have made the venue fly, as there has been a series of failures at the same place in the past couple of decades. Anyway, we enjoyed another good catch up tonight, assisted by the excellent food and drink. However, saving the best 'til last, what particularly made it for me, was the way Kerry looked after us. I made the booking, and was greeted on first name terms, like some long lost regular, which was massively flattering as I'm an old bloke, and, er, Kerry, isn't..... . Nuff said. She definitely made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I'll stop there.

Another really enjoyable evening in 30 Knots. Delightful welcome and excellent service by Kerry. So lucky to have such a consistently good restaurant/bar in South Queensferry.

A bit overpriced for what it was. Steak pie had plenty of meat but it was as tough as old boots, for £20 I would like it to be the best steak pie I've eaten. Veg had to be returned as it was stone cold. Kicker was added service charge, didn't spot it until after we had left. I'm totally not against tipping, I've worked in the service industry on and off for a long time but it absolutely should be a choice unless you aren't paying your staff correctly. Plus side, really nice venue and location but I won't hurry back.
