Great location with a view of the 3 beautiful bridges from a cozy outdoor terrace. We had 2 very tasty salads. Only my 2nd beer was also on the 3rd!!!!! Order attempt not delivered but charged for it. 🙈

Lovely setting and views. Despite it being a busy bank holiday weekend a table was found for us and quickly set, no waiting. Extensive, varied menu. Food came quickly and was tasty. Disappointed missing Yorkshire puddings with roast beef. Shout out to Josh W for his efficient and attentive service from the moment we arrived

It was a bit of a wait to get a table (granted, reservations are available), but sooo worth it. The Sunday Roast was amazing and the Yorkshire Pudding was to die for. Elliot was the loveliest - very professional and very friendly. Overall such an enjoyable experience! Would absolutely come back.

A fantastic spot in Queensferry! We stopped in at Thirty Knots and were blown away. The cider selection was spot on—crisp, refreshing, and perfect alongside their incredible Sunday roast, which was easily one of the better ones we’ve had in a while. The atmosphere is wonderfully eclectic—modern yet cozy, with great energy—and the views of the Firth of Forth add truly special touch. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is absolutely worth the stop! Elliot (spelled with one “t” and not two - the Scottish way, I’m told) was great! Wonderful way to spend a Sunday.

Good free parking. Nicely set up inside. The day I visited the service was not good. Brought croissants in good time, but waited ages for our coffee. Had to keep asking staff for cutlery, etc. It's good to see it's dog friendly.

Very relaxing dinning experience with stunning outlook over the coastline towards forth rail bridge. Very good and varied menu. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend for relaxing dinner or lunch.

Really lovely friendly staff from the first greeting. We sat and had a drink at the bar first. Again super helpful. I had the pork and crispy gnocchi - it was delicious 😋 Lovely window table for a girly catch up. It was my first visit - lovely atmosphere and staff. Definitely will be back.

Another awful spot by, surprise surprise, the owners of Scott’s. Yeah not a surprise. Waited ages for my lunch and had to ask where the food and drinks were (this was after another customer left saying they’d been waiting an hour for their food and someone else had to ask for cutlery to eat their lunch 🤣). It was supposed to be pepper and lemon chicken with baby gem, mango salsa and basil infused couscous with cucumber. It was boiled chicken and gem leaves, with couscous and nothing else. I sent it back and said I wasn’t pay for it. Another great location (like Scott’s) but with terrible food and service (like Scott’s). Seriously who keeps going to these places. Trying to withhold judgement but as long as a certain clientele demographic (Dunfermline and surrounds with no taste or sense of anything decent) keep going then our lovely part of the world will continue to be marred by embarrassingly rubbish establishments. Cheers guys, keep it up!

Iwona was phenomenal, lovely customer service and offered advice on where to go for a nice drink. The food was superb and great value. It was my partners birthday and they brought out a brownie with a candle. 10/10 would recommend.

My lovely kids took me for a birthday breakfast, and it was delicious! Service was friendly and prompt. When the waitress found out it was my birthday, I even got cake and a birthday song! Thank you!

A group of 5 of us went here today for my mum's birthday. Service was disgraceful. Took over 20mins to for our drinks to get ordered. The drinks then took about another 15 mins to arrive only after chasing them up. Our starters then finally arrived after another 10 mins. The starters where delicious. Unfortunately things only got worse after this. We waited another 15 mins for our empty plates to be cleared and another 20 mins for our mains to arrive. Again after complaining it magically appeared. My wife and my side orders never arrived until we practically finished the meal. This was again after complaining. My mum's beef roast was bone dry. The worst however was my 3 years olds breaded chicken. It was soggy and inedible. It didn't even taste like chicken. The manager after complaining asked if I had tried it (obviously i had!). He then looked at the chicken and realised the state of it and agreed to take it off the bill. After we finished the meal and got the bill. The chicken hadn't been removed and had to complain again. During this disgrace of a service we never received one apology. If the restaurant had been busy I could have understood the wait however it wasn't busy at all and seemed to be plenty of staff. We will never return. If you want a good meal in South queensferry go to Scott's.

Solid wee place this, cannae fault it. Service (in my eyes) was efficient and calm. Got a nice wee nip and an aperol on a sunny day. View out on the terrace is tremendous and with a pint in hand, it’s even better! Friendly staff and decently priced drinks for the area. Cannae knock it! Cheers

We had our wedding reception in the private upstairs bar and dining area at Thirty Knots, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue was spacious for our group of 15 but the cosy and relaxed atmosphere meant we didn’t feel lost in it. The views from the room are spectacular and really added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the canapés were a real highlight—generous in quantity and beautifully presented. All of our guests commented on how tasty everything was. Service throughout the evening was warm, attentive, and professional, which made the whole experience feel effortless from our side. The events coordinator was also a pleasure to deal with—responsive, clear in their communication, and made the planning process so smooth from start to finish. We also felt it was fantastic value for money given the quality of the venue, food, and service. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate—highly recommend!

We came in a few weeks ago and were sat in the pub. Our server Ayaana was very friendly and made us feel welcomed and the food and views were lovely!

Everything was delicious! The waiters were very polite and kind. Undoubtedly recommended!

Unfortunately, the view couldn’t make up for the disappointing fish platter and poor service. Staff were slow to take our order, and when someone who seemed to be the manager eventually came over, she only took a drinks order and didn’t seem interested in taking a food order. Once we did manage to order, the food took a long time to arrive. No extra plates were provided, and no one checked on us during the meal. We weren’t asked if we wanted any sauces or anything else either. The food itself was underwhelming. The tempura prawns and fish goujons were both watery, and the large pile of smoked salmon just felt lazy. To make things worse, the platter had an odd number of items, which made sharing awkward. When we got up to ask for the bill, we were told it would be brought over to our table — but that took ages too. Although it’s a dog-friendly place, there wasn’t much space, and a few staff members seemed visibly uncomfortable around dogs, which didn’t help the atmosphere. All in all, it had so much potential but didn’t deliver — especially for the price. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.

Food was ok, everything that was battered was very oily and no taste to the batter. Mac and cheese was bland, no cheese taste and very thin. Served with oily bread. Personally don’t think its worth the money

Fabulous lunch today. It was my son’s birthday and Kerry our waitress spotted our gift bags. As soon as my son arrived she wished him Happy Birthday and after our meal she brought him an ice cream with a candle! What a nice touch. Food was great, venue is gorgeous and service superb. We will be back!

This was not our first time here and we are surprised to have had such a bad experience this time around. We were sat outside and the service was just shocking, we ordered starters and mains however, it all came together and our drinks (which where all draft ) came mid way through our meal! After asking for the bill we got the incorrect one and when trying to tell the manager with red hair about our issues she quickly dismissed us and was completely rude, only offering to remove the service charge and no apology or concern was given. Completely has changed our experience here… not sure if we will return 💔💔

Despite the stunning views and scenic location and numerous people recommending this place to me, I just didn't think it was that great. My chicken was tasteless and without the garlic butter saving the day it wouldn't have been very enjoyable at all. The king rib hadn't been rendered properly meaning that It was more or less a congeled mess of fat. Not very tasty or appetising. The steak sharer despite it's price failed to hit the spot also. The only saving grace for this restaurant is the location and unfortunately I think that if it wasnt in this place it may not be very popular at all. Despite this negative review there are some strong points. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. Massive outdoor area for drinks and cocktails. Excellent service from the young lads who waited out table. But overall the food fell short and there is a lot of room for improvement.
