Good coffee! Really, only about the third time I've written that about a UK cafe. We had a couple of cakes too, and these were also above average. To all of other black dishwater servers (that claim to be cafes! ) take note. It can be done.

Source saved an almost ruined birthday. We visited York for my birthday and the hotel we were staying at really messed up and there was nowhere local to eat! We had to make last minute plans on a Saturday night so we were so worried. We rang up Source and asked if we could squeeze in and they were so attentive and got us booked in. On arrival they made sure the seating was ok for us and it was such a lovely atmopshere, and the food was amazing. It was so good that we returned in the morning for breakfast!

We went to Molly's Tearooms for lunch one Saturday. York was packed and it was a bit hard to find because of all the people milling about, but we were glad we made the effort. We decided on jacket potatoes with creamed mushrooms and the lady apologised and said they only had one potato left, but offered us the mushrooms with toast instead. She said the mushrooms came in a separate dish so the toast wouldn’t get soggy. Our meal arrived very quickly and we shared the toast and potato. The mushrooms were absolutely delicious and plenty of them. Very pleasant staff and a lovely little tearoom. We recommended the place to our next-door neighbours who went two days ago and they also thought it was great. We’ll be back!

¡Cómo una simple sonrisa cálida y un delicioso cupcake pueden hacer su día más brillante! Y un café increíble para completarlo. Muy buenas judías allí. Totalmente recomendable.

Nos topamos con este lugar mientras tratábamos de evitar las cafeterías de cadena. Mi marido tenía un pan corto de chocolate y un blanco plano. Solo tomé un café con leche descafeinado pero fue el mejor que probé y se lo hice saber. El servicio era brillante y el personal era amable. Los precios eran razonables. Pensé que la decoración era encantadora y peculiar. Planeamos visitar de nuevo antes del final de nuestro breve descanso.

Visitamos este restaurante para el almuerzo y las bebidas y disfrutamos tanto que regresamos el último día de nuestra visita a York. Hermoso entorno junto al río y un servicio amable. La ensalada de mozarella con pesto fue un verdadero punto culminante.

Vino a almorzar un viernes muy ocupado durante la mitad del trimestre, pero nos sentamos inmediatamente - un ambiente muy agradable y frío en el interior (la música era genial también! ) Pedimos el inglés completo y huevos revueltos en tostadas que llegaron rápidamente; los huevos todavía estaban humeantes y cocinados maravillosamente 😋 Mi compañero pensó que el inglés completo era sabroso. Servicio amable y volvería a comer ya que todos los platos que salen de la cocina se veían encantadores.

Puede estar muy ocupado aquí, pero parece ser la mejor oportunidad de conseguir una mesa un sábado por la noche. Muchas ginebras y cócteles, tuvimos el tablero para compartir fizz y frutas que tiene 4 ginebras con sabor, bayas congeladas y una botella de prosecco para 28. Disfrutamos de preparar nuestras bebidas y probar las diferentes ginebras con sabor.

A menudo siento que no quiero comer vegetariano mientras estoy con mi hija, por lo que Source ofreció excelentes opciones de comida vegana / vegetariana junto con carnes cocidas a fuego lento: gane, gane. El personal logró encontrarnos una mesa después de una breve espera en el ajetreado almuerzo del sábado. Mi hija tenía un excelente Mock Camembert, que todos decidimos que era excelente, mientras que yo tenía tacos de pescado. Los platos principales fueron sus bandejas servidas con verduras y pan de maíz: mi hija tenía Seitan, mi esposa sacó pollo y yo preparé carne de res a fuego lento, ¡todo lo cual fue excelente! Volveremos y pronto!

Pasé por aquí en dos ocasiones en la misma semana cuando visita York para ir de compras. Primero para el café temprano por la noche como había estado visitando York Minster. Segunda visita para ir de compras y un almuerzo ligero en el hotel. Tuvimos un almuerzo ligero de salmón y hamburguesas con patatas fritas que ambos encontramos lo suficientemente lleno, sabroso y asequible, dado que el hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad de York. El servicio era bueno. La comida estaba muy bien presentada y un montón de asientos. Tuvimos un almuerzo más temprano, pero me imagino que está ocupado a la hora de comer los fines de semana, por ejemplo. Sin duda volveríamos para una comida y posiblemente incluso una estancia en el hotel en sí, ya que parece un buen lugar para alojarse y una ubicación conveniente para todo lo que la ciudad tiene para ofrecer.

Poor first experience! Server wasn't well versed with the menu, didn't ask the right questions and therefore led to the wrong meals being served. Wasn't asked if our meals were OK! Several drinks were never brought to the table.
