Warm welcome, sat in the lounge as they have a lovely log fire which I found calm and relaxing. I had the Bacon and Chicken Bagette with Salad and Chunky Chips from the lunch menu. The food was fantastic quality and good value for money. Sabrina and the team are doing an amazing job. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend to others and will be visiting regularly myself with friends and family. Thank you to the Chef, Simon for the lovely food and also a big thanks to Sabrina and the team for a warm welcome. 👍😁

Despite having lived in Knypersley for over two decades, this was my first trip to The Gardeners Arms in Brown Lees and can truly say it is a hidden gem that truly stands out for its fantastic food. The menu offers a great variety of traditional dishes and is also complemented by a Specials Board which offers a good selection of alternative dishes. I chose the ‘Steak Pie with Chips, Carrots, Peas and Broccoli’ which I thoroughly enjoyed (photo attached). The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite. It's clear that the kitchen takes pride in the meals it delivers. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a cozy family gathering. The staff and management are friendly and attentive, even taking the time to chat with customers, which adds a personal touch to the experience. If you're in the Brown Lees area and appreciate good food, The Gardeners Arms is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I first visited Sparrow park for drinks with friends. The staff were polite, quick and helpful. There is a great selection of beers, lagers, spirits and cocktails ( my favourite being Beavertown Neck oil) The bar is very clean, spacious and has a lovely roof terrace. I look forward to visiting again. 10/10

1) The cheeks to charge for WATER! 2) Carvery supposedly starts at 12, we came in at 12 and had to wait until a table of 10 got their food before us. We ended up waiting until 13:20 to get our food. Pub clearly isn't run correctly. Not to mention we got the smallest amount of meat on our carveries. Not coming here for a family meal again. *Edit* response to owner's comment: 1) you have to let your customers know you are charging for water OR give them the choice of free tap water. Common sense. 2) we came at 12... the food should have been ready at 12 not 1. And no, you were not in the process of topping the veg up because no one had had their carveries until 1. I am a regular at this pub and I enjoy coming here but today I was disappointed. Especially after hearing that the staff member who served me was bad mouthing about me to customers sat at the bar.

Been multiple times now. Had breakfast 8 each time. Food was consistently great. Staff friendly and attentive. Cafe was clean and tidy. Prices are reasonable towards cheap. I plan to make it a regular treat to go here for a fry up, especially as they open at 8am. Extensive menu with a variety of cuisines.

Called here for a drink recently whilst staying in the area. All the food we saw being served looked lovely so we booked for the following evening for my birthday. The fact that they were nearly booked up on a Wednesday evening says how popular the pub is. Had a lovely meal, the food was so good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Chose the salt and pepper chicken to start and beef stroganoff for main, my partner had garlic king prawns and beef suet pudding all of which were excellent. Was a lovely way to spend my birthday evening, will definitely go back when we are in the area again. Would highly recommend.

Popped in here for dinner, didn't fancy staying on site at Alton Towers. Firstly, the place was absolutely rammed, managed to find a table for 4, they reserve tables for those eating. My wife and I had the carvery, meat was gorgeous and plenty of veg and roasties to chose from. Kids had a pizza. Although busy, great. Friendly atmosphere. Good choice of beers and soft drinks. Great value
