I first visited Sparrow park for drinks with friends. The staff were polite, quick and helpful. There is a great selection of beers, lagers, spirits and cocktails ( my favourite being Beavertown Neck oil) The bar is very clean, spacious and has a lovely roof terrace. I look forward to visiting again. 10/10

Had a fantastic time here over the bank holiday weekend! Friendly staff and great cocktails, can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in the area on a sunny day, make sure you visit!

The building and atmosphere of the bar is lovely. As it was warm my friends and I decided to sit on the upstairs balcony. The selection of drinks were good however what has led to the poor review is the service. We all ordered our drinks as soon as we came in, in 2 rounds. You would expect them to bring drinks up in the rounds but this was not the case- they were brought up one by one which made for a long waiting time. They forgot about 2 of the cocktails ordered so that made for an even longer wait. The drinks themselves tasted nice enough and nobody has any complaints regarding them, but everyone felt disappointed in relation to the service and waiting time. If this improved then the experience would have been completely different

We have visited here several times and have has similar experiences on each occasion. The selection of drinks on paper is very good, although I have found on multiple occasions that my preferred drink is unavailable due to lack of stock. The service needs a little improvement. There have been several long waits for drinks. During covid restrictions, tables were booked in time slots and there have been instances where drinks have been so late that they arrived soon before we were due to leave. Too soon to enjoyably drink before receiving the request from the staff to leave as our allotted time was up. The toilet situation - needs improvement. Two toilets, one M and one F, and I can only speak of the gents, but with it containing a single toilet, the queue can be excessive and this results in a cramped corridor at peak times. Once inside the toilet it is rather untidy with ample evidence of bad aim. Overall, frustrating. The interior is nice and the rooftop terrace adds something different to the options in Leek. The execution requires work in my opinion.

It's lovely to have a venue like this in Leek, it was a very nice atmosphere. Make sure to wrap up warm as it's rooftop seating currently but it's worth it for the very pretty decor and view. The only thing I could not see was an alcohol-free menu. It would be really great to have a selection of mocktails on offer! Hopefully this is in the works 😇

Brilliant night out at this awesome place. Bar staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Venue was clean and COVID secure, very clean toilets and great drinks. I don’t drink, but their choice of non-alcohol beer (Brooklyn Special Effect) is one of the best on the market. Even let us bring the dog in later on in the night. All round great venue.

Coffee good and young lady serving very friendly and polite. Staff in the back preparing food with no gloves and getting orders missed or wrong but blaming others for their shortcomings

Very disappointed with the service we received. We were still waiting for our desserts at 10.45pm and our table was booked for 8pm. Some of our table received their desserts and three people were still waiting when we paid the bill. These had to be had as a take away. When we asked to see a manager our poor waitress couldn't find one, not quite sure why as there were four working on the night. Completely ruined our night, however I would like to say a huge well done to our waitress Emma. She tried her best to sort our disappointment out.

Visited on Saturday 23rd November. Beautiful setting. Lovely vibrant atmosphere inside. Classic Victoria Sponge was ok. Mediocre. Looked better than it tasted. For £4.95 a slice, hoped for more though. Coffee was absolutely rubbish :-( Really disappointing. Very weak and mainly froth. Cappuccino should have a creme yes but it shouldn't be frothy....and there was seemingly virtually no actual coffee underneath. I had oat milk but that shouldn't make a difference. We were going to go back the following day, but decided against it. For three of us to have a drink and cake with not much change from £30.00, we wanted just a straight forward decent cup of coffee. I don't mind 'complaining' and asking for another cuppa...but I truly thought it would be exactly the same, so didn't bother. Also, didn't want to put a downer on our girls' visit. Such a shame. Invest in some barista training and this place would be truly great. Sorry to leave a negative review....but it's honest.

Whilst waiting for an hour full of anticipation and excitement thinking of the fryed delights coming our way let me tell you energy was high! Gota give a single star review we usually go to Lenny's and we all know what u're in for there basically a crematory in a lay'by. But unexpectedly this was the polar opposite I think this breakfast was a boil in the bag. Tbf it was good but the hash browns were so bad I nearly took them Lenny's to get them cremated Im not sure if it was because it's Halloween and they gave us a trick instead of a treat but u do not boil hashbrowns under any circumstances! And if u did fry them u need some some new oil as the viscosity must be at - levels
