Lovely local pub, staff friendly, prices very reasonable and dog friendly (inside & outside).

Excellent high quality food from a wide ranging menu which was both delicious and well presented. The service was courteous and helpful in terms of choosing the most suitable dishes. The atmosphere and decor were particularly nice, as was the live music played on this Friday evening.

Had the Sunday lunch here. 3 of us had the lamb. No fat at all on it, large light Yorkshire pudding, and very tasty vegetables. All cooked perfectly, and presentation very good too. Staff very attentive too. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent little coffee shop. A fabulous Barista team, making delicious coffee on every occasion! The food is always great, and very tasty. The atmosphere is wonderfully friendly, and all the staff are happy, kind, and considerate. Nothing is a trouble. I visit once or sometimes twice a month, as I no longer live in Leek. Unfortunately! I really do recommend this lovely establishment.

Ancient local with handpull, wood burner and lovely owners. Saturday's karaoke is a cozy little hoot.

My word! I don't often have fish and chips, maybe on a seaside holiday or nick a few chips off the kids, however, how I have never come to this takeaway before and in my opinion it blows 90% of the others out of the water. Friendly and accommodating staff, swift service and beautifully fresh, well cooked fish and for me, perfect chips. The cheeky little sausage in batter I added for a later snack was delicious too, batter still had a crunch not gone soggy. I will definitely be going again soon to try more delights, the smell of the curry sauce was almost intoxicating, what a gem on Fountain street, think the locals have been keeping this quiet! Bravo.

Unfortunately there are no longer any free-from offerings. It's such a shame as my family used to really enjoy cakes from here. Many successful eateries just don't label their products vegan or gluten-free and they sell really well. Those of us with dietary requirements will ask what's suitable for us anyway...offering one free-from GF option shouldn't be too hard in 2022.

Phoned up for a special biryani.and when we got it home it was horrible three dice pieces of dry chicken and a small piece of darker meat and two 5mm prawns ,and the rice smelled very old .this is the second time I've been here and this is the last time rubbish food 😒

Excellent country pub, very popular and lively atmosphere. Good range of beers, CAMRA award winning pub. Indian restaurant food is very good and would recommend a visit.

Great food, excellent service, and a lovely ambiance. The hosts were incredibly accommodating of my wife’s dietary requirements, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend!
