What a lovely experience here, today. Staff are absolutely lovely, so kind and friendly. Our food was really delicious- the pesto in my panini, yum yum yum! I also had a ‘not coffee pumpkin spiced latte’…so nice! We’ll definitely be back (folks were queuing to get in and I can understand why).

Having just arrived from france I was desperate get back to my favourite cafe. Have been two days running now Sandwiches amazing, service excellent as always and coffee fab. I cannot rate it highly enough The young man was friendly and a delight to chat with, not sure of his name but he’s off to uni in Leeds next week. I’m sure he will be missed. Excellent as always. Good fresh and tasty and beautifully presented .

Amazing and friendly service. Great bread and meals were amazing. It’s small inside but they were super helpful in helping me get a pushchair in and have highchairs to use too. Chai latte was lovely and the chilli was super tasty!

This cafe provides really excellent sandwiches and the soup was pretty good too. The bread is artisanal, provided by the attached bakery. The cake range was limited but I had a superb brownie and partner a very good ginger flapjack. The coffee was fine too (Americano). The service was top notch. The two staff on duty really wanted to please and did so. Nice friendly people. However. Nine quid for a sandwich is steep, no matter how good. I had the £2.50 soup and sand deal so I was set back £11.50. Yes, a small amount of nicely dressed salad came with, but the veg crisps were dropped in the S & S deal. This isn't right, surely. It might be fussy to say that the bread in the sandwich (sourdough) was falling apart, which meant handling was a bit different, so thicker slices might be a good idea. Again, for 9 smackers you don't expect mayo to be running down your hand. On the plus side, the pastrami was thick (well done). Would I go back? Certainly. But only if I was feeling flush. Note too that the cafe is small and not a place for those who like a bit of space around them when they eat.

First time visiting this lovely small cafe in leek. Its clearly very popular with the people of leek because We arrived just as it opened and within 5 mins it was already getting full. Staff are super friendly. The latte coffee is really very good as is the hot chocolate. For a small family run cafe they do amazingly well to offer a very good number of items on their menu for breakfast and lunch. We had multi seed toast and a bacon sandwich on white sourdough. With the bread being from their own bakery next door it is of course beautifully fresh, good quality and full of flavour. The locally produced bacon was really good quality too. Hoping to be able to visit again very soon... although we get the feeling as its so popular we might struggle to ever get a table but at least they do offer a take away service too. So we hope to be able to try a couple of their lunch time sandwiches next time

Visited while shopping in leek and after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. Nice atmosphere, warm and friendly welcome and a good decent sarnie. Must have a good regular local customer base as the chap working front of cafe welcomed most of the customers by their first names. Would certainly visit again.

I can't recommend this place enough. We are huge fans of No 5 and always stop in when we're in the area - Leek is very lucky to have them. Not only are they lovely thoughtful people, their food and coffee are fresh and delicious. Being connected to a sourdough bakery you can guarantee an excellent sandwich on freshly made bread (and you'd be mad to leave without buying a loaf too!). Highly recommend the daal deal with the sandwich. Their coffees always hit the spot (they really know what a flat white is).

Hands down the BEST food I’ve ever had out (my family agreed and we regularly dine in independent and local cafés/coffee shops/delis etc). Service extremely good, with very friendly and attentive staff who offered a warm welcome! Everything tasted so fresh and homemade (the hummus was to die for) and it was so obviously that every item was made fresh. The catering for vegans and vegetarians is brilliant and the portions were very generous but not too excessive. Thank you for such a lovely experience and making my dads birthday so special. I cannot wait to return again!

We really enjoyed the the ambience and the food and drink but you're a bit understaffed. Not sure if that's because you let staff go for lunch at lunchtime or that just happened to be the case on our visit. It has the effect of making it all seem a bit chaotic. However, that to one side the beetroot and humus sarnie was lovely.

I really liked No.5. They offer both meat and vegetarian options. Their deluxe hot chocolate is out of this world! The cafe itself is quite small, and they did seem to run out of food quite quickly. Seems like a place to visit just as lunch time starts as there are more food options! I will definitely visit again!

Dropped in Saturday lunchtime with a friend. We opted for the soup & sandwich option for £7.50, plus drinks. The Potato & Leek soup was absolutely delicious. I had the Borst sandwich & my friend had the Nut Roast, which were equally as nice. We shared a flapjack to finish off. Total price £20.90. Excellent value & the cafe had a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.

It was ok, Leek was very busy on this Sunday due to the market being on and most of the tearooms seemed quite full so we ended up here. Had Green tea and a pumpkin spiced cake parter had coffee and again a pumpkin spice cake. It was ok, cake was moist but a tad bland. I dont think i'll be in a hurry to come back. sorry.

Really nice atmosphere but food not quite there. Soup and Sarnie - sounded lovely but it was all a rather bland. The Sourdough bread was chewy. It a shame because it could be really good. The combinations sounded great and exactly the sort of thing we like but it wasn't quite right. I think it could be fab with a few tweaks here and there.

Great little cafe. Ordered a sandwich of pork, slaw and apple sauce on fresh, crusty GI mulit-bread, really tasty and fresh. Sandwich came with a small side salad and a really nice dressing. The sandwich had lots of filling and crusty, straight from the oven bread which is baked next door. Chocolate brownie was homemade (ok, nothing special) and a flat white served extra hot - very nice. Will definitely visit again

What a great cafe this is. The food is freshly made on site and is superb. An added bonus is that the bread is also made next door at the adjoining bakery (Live, Love Loaf) which you can buy to go. The staff are friendly and efficient. Furthermore... the cherry on the icing on this cafe of awesomeness is that well behaved dogs are also welcome. A win win for me.

Nipped in here for a quick drink and breakfast. Limited choice but it is a cafe for the bakery. Sat down and waited for the waitress to finish talking before she bought a menu. Ordered hot chocolate and toast. I was in a rush and it took over 15 mins from entering the cafe to my order arriving. Toast was lovely but not when in a rush. Not sure I will visit again due to the very limited choice.

Unfortunately there are no longer any free-from offerings. It's such a shame as my family used to really enjoy cakes from here. Many successful eateries just don't label their products vegan or gluten-free and they sell really well. Those of us with dietary requirements will ask what's suitable for us anyway...offering one free-from GF option shouldn't be too hard in 2022.

Just five stars from start to finish. Easy to order and friendly welcome from Tommo and Jo when I came to collect my breakfast for me and my colleague at work.
