Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious food, we had the fish and chips special and it was so good!,We Will be back next week with friends we have recommended it to, great service and value for money 😀

Booked in for Mother's day and wasn't disappointed, as soon as we walked through the doors we were made to feel welcome, the staff were lovely, the food was spot on, so if you want some where to go where you can have a good meal I would recommend Powys Arms, we will definitely be paying another visit.

Visited after a full day in the roach's the staff were very accommodating and the beer was fantastic we sat by a lit coal fire which was much needed, would recommend to anyone passing by. Rustic and charming place 10/10

Lovely mid week meal tonight. Hunters Chicken and a Scampi salad (off menu request). Nothing too much trouble, lots of smiles and a real fire so snuggy and warm. I’ll definitely be back!

First time visit after talking about going a number of times. The food was exceptional home cooked fare. Extremely generous portions and extremely tasty. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and considering we had a tired family after a busy day, the evening was extremely enjoyable and we will definitely return. Would definitely recommend based on our experience today.

Decided to visit the Powys arms, easy to book beautiful quant pub in countryside surroundings. Very quick service and friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble. We ordered Gammon, Creamy Chicken Fajitas and 2 lots of “Cock & Bull”with Stilton sauce which was absolutely delicious, proper home cooked meal nothing frozen or plastic. We will definatley pop in for tea again.

Such ashame as the meal was not to bad but quite expensive for the surroundings, all I can describe as plastic table cover really dirty condiments asked for mint sauce came out in a small disposable paper ramekin, more like road side cafe

Food was lovely, best chips ever. Staff are great, very friendly, make up for a lack of warmth in there. Lovely place but could do with a revamp, felt a bit like a working mens club. Always seems busy though and garden area looks nice. The view will be fantastic in the summer.

Hadn't been here for years, but we were on a night out in the countryside and decided to pop in for a couple of beers. We were welcomed when we went in and found it a lovely little public house with friendly staff serving good beers. They do food as well so we will be popping back again soon to sample the food. Watch this space.

The people running this pub are kind beyond belief. They looked after us when we broke down outside their pub (having driven 1000 miles from France) and had to wait 5 hours for the breakdown people. They let us sit in their garden and brought us lots of cups of tea and drinks for our kids. And they refused to let us pay for any of it. We are so grateful to them for looking after us. The boys couldn’t believe their luck, that we had broken down outside a pub with a football goal and football in the garden!! We will definitely pop in next time we are passing that part of the world!! Thank you guys.

Booked last minute because I fancied a steak, seen the burger challenge on Facebook,so thought I would give it a shot. For some reason I thought there would be separate dining space, nope in the bar in front of the bar. Small menu but ample choice, the quality of service and food produce was ok, had the 10oz steak which came with 3xonion rings( very greasy I’m afraid) 4xcherry tomatoes, a few sliced mushrooms, and a portion of home cooked chips, the wife had the Stilton cheese with her meal, me having just mayonnaise.The steak was cooked lovely and I cleared my plate (but I was starving hungry) my wife left her chips, her tomatoes, onion rings and mushrooms were wrapped in a knapkin so that we did not upset, For us , we would not visit again as we both thought for price and value it did not reach expectations, Sorry,

This was our first pub lunch in over a year.We were joined by my daughter her husband and 2 children. Having to eat in the open air we had very comfortable seats in a sheltered spot. Although the Sunday lunch menu might have seemed limited it was just what the doctor ordered. Choice of meat chicken or gammon. Beautifully prepared choice of veg roast and mash potatoes. Huge servings but my 9 year old grand daughter cleared her plate. Simple choice of puddings. Drinks were reasonably priced The cost was very fair.Service was excellent especially as the young ladies had to run up and down stairs. The manager kept a wary eye on everything..All in all a delightful visit

Drove past this little new found gem on numerous occasions .. Very Covid Safe in a relaxed atmosphere all staff are really lovely but would recommend checking if it's busy .. views over the hills from the beer garden at rear are uninterupted 👌😷👍keep safe people

Had an amazing takeaway tonight, the food was full of flavour, had that real home cooked feel and taste about it, the portions were fantastic and hit every spot in contentment and taste, would highly recommend this little gem and will certainly be coming back this weekend as the cheesecakes are pretty special here and they do sunday lunches to take away too, such a lovely clean pub and very welcoming staff and the ales are fantastic, I can't wait to be able to be back in here very soon.

Brilliant takeaway at the weekend. Homemade curries that were full of flavour, served with freshly made naan breads and the best bit... proper pub chips. Great food and service. We can't wait for the pub to open after lockdown to visit for more food and a few drinks!

After my favourite restaurant closed down for good a while back I was really disappointed to find no decent alternatives serving Mexcian food anywhere in the area, so I was delighted to try what Rob had to offer at the Powys Arms. I ordered last Friday and we ordered two enchiladas with some fries on the side, and a couple of cheesecakes. All I can it was some of the best food I have tried in a very long time! The food was really well packed, still hot when i got home, and was to die for :) Chicken was cooked just right with the enchiladas and the sauce it came with was really lovely and flavorful without being too spicy. The Kinder Bueno cheesecakes rounded things off nicely although with the portion sizes i struggled to finish mine! It tasted just as good as any of the best Mexican food i have ever tried, and left me craving for my next order already! The prices were also fantastic too, wouldn't hesitate about going back :)

The New Take Away Service for lockdown is amazing, great food at great prices. I absolutely love their Chilli with chorizo and can’t wait to try some of their other dishes. Highly recommend this place

A new lockdown venture of serving takeaway food is absolutely brilliant, just had their chilli and chorizo which was gorgeous and great value for money. Can’t wait to try something else on their menu. Highly recommended

Although one web site stated food served during the week, this is not the case, Sunday lunch only....the pub is clean and tidy situated on the side of a busy road, dogs very welcome. Good car parking..

Had Sunday lunch here on 18 July and it was superb, lovely moist chicken with the works. Had hoped to try dessert as recommended but I was too full. Definitely going again staff were friendly, service was quick and there was a nice steady flow of customers. Great friendly atmosphere

well we went to the powys arms for sunday lunch a nice lunch but the person behind the bar was all ways on her phone we had to ask for the menu and never give a dam about us the staff were not amazing we shall not be going again only us 4 in that tells you everything

Excellent Sunday lunch, fabulous great value for money. The staff were amazing very friendly and warm towards people. I usually work on a Sunday but I had yesterday off it’s was lovely to have Sunday dinner at dinner time. Excellent staff and home cooked food. Yorkshire pudding were a great size too I loved that they gave me too.I can’t wait to have a Sunday off again so I can return.

Although somway out of our way we had been recommended to this friendly ‘local’ for a bite to eat. Portion sizes good and selection not huge but great tasting home cooking

We call here regularly. The food is superb,especially the Sunday lunch which is fantastic value at £6.95.The staff are always friendly and welcoming,and the beer is spot on as well. The homemade sweets are excellent if you have enough room as the portions are always big. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Just a lovely pub with really nice owners. Never been in the pub before until today but I always drive past. Really nice real ale and the larger looked a good pint. Small pub but full of character. Worth a visit.
