Visited on recommendation of lady in village store to try the oatcakes. We both had cheese and they were yummy and good fuel for a yomp up The Roaches. Both ladies friendly, chatty & welcoming. We took a piece of toffee tiffin away to enjoy later in the day. PS: Bought 3 pkts of oatcakes to take home to share with friends & family!

Went for lunch today and my wife and I ended up getting a large breakfast each. The cafe is only small but that makes it cosy and it was quite busy as well. They were also doing take away food as well. Two friendly ladies were running things between them and nothing seemed to be any trouble to sort out. There were so many different orders being given to them. Real value for money, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, oat cake, 2 rounds of toast and a mug of tea. Everything cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Very tasty. We could see what other people were eating near us and it all looked very nice! The breakfast was so filling we couldn't manage anything else then, so got a scone and cake to take out! We had those later in the day - very nice as well. The breakfasts were great value £7 for the big and £5 for the small. We're staying a couple of miles up the road and will be back next week. I'd recommend making a trip to this cafe if you're in the Buxton or surrounding area as it's such good value and tasty food!

Came in for a feed before our 3.5 hours drive home. I had the small breakfast, my husband had the large veggie. It was sooooo delicious! Refillable coffee was a dream! 100% recommend! Thanks girls!

Relax inside with a tea and scone. Outside if the weather is good. The staff were friendly. I wish I had sampled the breakfast which looked very good.

Geen gedoe. Gewoon lekker ontspannen zitten en eten. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, leuke zaak, alsof je thuis bent. Oh ja, het uitzicht is geweldig over het groene heuvellandschap.

We hit Cobbles after climbing over the Peak District and were ravenous and in need of feeding ourselves quickly! The girls in the cafe were great. My cheesy beans on toast came out to my table within about 5 minutes along with a coffee and a big slab of cake. All was fantastic and amazing value for money. Defo give it a go if you're after a quick cafe stop.

Had a mid bike ride lunch stop here and the staff here were really friendly and served us some top quality much needed refreshments. A great spot to get to and have a break at, only lacked some seating, but with the limited space and amount of cyclists I brought here, perfectly understandable.

This small cafe is in the Market Square in the village of Longnor, near Buxton. We called in for a veggie breakfast, and even the small size one comes with toast and a hot drink. Well cooked food and friendly staff. Very reasonable price.

Map is the wrong location. It is Buxton and the café is in Longnor. I have not been to the café but heard it is very good.

Had read reviews before our 2 week stay at Heathylee holiday cottage up the road, but did not manage to sample the Café until the morning of leaving for our trip back to Somerset. So after packing the car popped down for the Large Breakfast which included Oatcake in the selection. Sustained me for the 6 hour trip and the delights of the M6 / M5 roadworks.

i had a bit of spare time yesterday so explored the area south of Buxton. In Longnor i found two coffee shops. The first one the staff lifted their heads from a table in the corner of the gift shop and grunted at me, and the second one the friendly staff greeted me like a long lost friend, gave me a menu and showed me to a vacant table. Not only did they have gluten free bread, which was soft, moist and delicious, but the sandwich was beautifully garnished with a delicious salad. I simply had to finish lunch with a gluten free Polenta cake which was absolutely yummy. The bill was reasonable and the cafe clean and welcoming. The three staff were friendly and helpful. I will be back but with family next time. They will love this place. If you are looking for quality food, a nice atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff then visit Cobbles in Longnor. See you soon...

A group of 8 of us had lunch here - toasted sandwich was huge and good value as it came with large salad and coleslaw. Everyone cleaned their plates and those of us that could fit it in, had the beautiful Peak dairy ice cream.

We ate breakfast here at the weekend for over a year whilst our house was being renovated. Great freshly prepared local produce used for the breakfast. Great friendly service from Jan & Paul. Veggie well catered for. Brilliant

Just off the cobbled village market place in Longnor, this is a small tea/coffee shop worth a visit, especially if you are a walker as the village is at the intersection of several peak and moorland walks. The owners are friendly and went out of their way to provide what we wanted. The cakes and scones are homemade and whilst we were there a couple of locals called in for cake to take away so must say something! Not expensive and welcome on a cold winter's afternoon.

Coffee good and young lady serving very friendly and polite. Staff in the back preparing food with no gloves and getting orders missed or wrong but blaming others for their shortcomings

Visited on Saturday 23rd November. Beautiful setting. Lovely vibrant atmosphere inside. Classic Victoria Sponge was ok. Mediocre. Looked better than it tasted. For £4.95 a slice, hoped for more though. Coffee was absolutely rubbish :-( Really disappointing. Very weak and mainly froth. Cappuccino should have a creme yes but it shouldn't be frothy....and there was seemingly virtually no actual coffee underneath. I had oat milk but that shouldn't make a difference. We were going to go back the following day, but decided against it. For three of us to have a drink and cake with not much change from £30.00, we wanted just a straight forward decent cup of coffee. I don't mind 'complaining' and asking for another cuppa...but I truly thought it would be exactly the same, so didn't bother. Also, didn't want to put a downer on our girls' visit. Such a shame. Invest in some barista training and this place would be truly great. Sorry to leave a negative review....but it's honest.

Popped in for evening beer. Community run traditional pub. Worth knowing it is cash free / card only.
