Bike night , Have not been for a least 25 years , not changed a bit😀😀👍 burgers were very good a me d so were prices definitely going again weather permitting

Only had a drink and the rear garden was shut but very atmospheric, like going back in time large cottage style with small windows and dim light with lots of antiques everywhere

Fascinating pub. You'll be greeted by Maud the pub dog. While the menu is not extensive, the quality is very good. Will definitely be going back if he'll have us.

Nice place for a drinks and to see Colin the tortoise who is 15 years old.. quirky place with friendly atmosphere go for a drink there. With recommend this place dogs welcome.

Have spent the most wonderful heartfelt evening in the Yew Tree Inn. On a short weekend away, and partner convinced me and the kids to wake up from our naps and wander down for one drink. We were far from disappointed! The pub is absolutely beautiful, so quirky and homely. The drinks were superb, went for one stayed for three. And the manager was an absolute delight. Showed the kids how to play skittles, was the most wonderful company, he made us feel so welcome and was genuinely interested. By far the kindest pub manager/owner I have ever had the pleasure to come across. My only negative is I wish I could pick up this pub and move it round the corner to my home! Absolutely everyone in the area should give this truly wonderful little business a go!!!

Wonderful Peak District pub which is well known in the area. Friendly accommodating staff. Lots of curios, antiques and interesting items all around this very distinctive location. Staff are incredibly friendly and food is excellent. We were stuck for an unexpected location for a large group and the team were so helpful and friendly. Can’t fault the service or the location it is a beautiful pub. Good, simple and yummy menu. Pies and puddings are amazing! A huge thank you to all the staff who made us feel so welcome at the last minute!

Love the Yew tree it's just one of the best pubs you'll ever go to, don't expect anything posh, just a down to earth proper old Inn, with some really unexpected treats, rare as hens teeth, just go and see for yourself 👌

Absolutely loved this fun and quirky pub. The place is full of history, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We'd go back in a heart beat for pie and mash!

Amazing little pub, well worth a visit a little gem

Great pub great beer. Just a little disappointed that the two guitars I left for the pub, acouple of months ago, have sadly disappeared.

We had 4 meals X2 chicken pie ,mash and peas and X2 steak pie,mash and peas.It was lovely absolutely no complaints.Staff were lovely,The Burton bridge bitter was great.The pub is fantastic. Definitely one of the best pubs in the world IMO . We'll definitely visit again.Very dog friendly 👌

Quirky and interesting place that serves great pie!

Really interesting place, drove out to have a pint on Sunday 14th, greeting was great, lovely pint and the locals were friendly, lots of dogs but I suppose that’s what the locals do at the weekend, can’t comment on the food as I didn’t try but will next time I go.

Brilliantly quirky place Very much an old-fashioned Pub Which is over 300 years old. The pub is drenched in nostalgia with a roaring fire and a pet tortoise to boot

Limited food menu today but enjoyed a delicious pie with gravy. Lots of quirky curiosity items of interest in the pub.

Fantastic pub.A step back in to day gone by, a great pint lovely atmosphere the only pub we visit when staying in the area.

We loved it! Walked in for the first time in our lives and were treated like old friends - the best kind of pub! We really enjoyed admiring the collections of beautiful curiosities and meeting the beautiful resident tortoise, Colin. It was my first time trying a Staffordshire oatcake. Delicious! I was also impressed by the real ale. I didn't try it myself, but it was intriguing to see they had Carling Black Label on tap. I'd never seen that before. We've already made it back once, for the Bonfire Night and live music event. Hope we can become at least semi-regulars.

Just went in with a dozen mates on a Sunday afternoon and made to be very welcome. Fantastic pub with lots of interesting antiques and locals! We’ll be back!

Olde Wilde pub full of old memorabilia, a real step back in time. Real ale in fine form.

The landlady was very helpful and informative, told us about the pub, and showed us all the relevant antiques' great experience.

An interesting old pub, with lots of unusual things scattered around and about, e.g., old motorcycles, farm machinery, one arm bandits, bicycles, furniture etc etc......oh, and a live tortoise in the room wandering around its enclosure by the fireplace! Food was a basic wholesome affair. We had steak and ale pie, mash and mushy peas in gravy followed by cherry pie and custard...very welcome after a long walk. Quality and price were excellent. Recommended!

One of the most friendly places we've been to. We loved the welcoming atmosphere and animals... We didn't try the food but it looked delicious.

Exceptional hospitalty. Food and is well priced and really nicely cooked and presemted. I would certainly recomment the Yewtree Inn. 5 stars all round.

Absolutely amazing place! Lovely, welcoming and exciting! So many things to see here, the beer is top notch and the live music is very good. Only saw the pub because of the sign on the main road but I would 100% recommend going to this pub if you’re looking for something fun and exciting!

Quirky little place. Very friendly. Excellent service. Greeted by Maude the resident dog who kindly shared her biscuits with our Millie and other visitors. Lunch was lovely and a great pint too. Definitely call again

Went to see the clocks. Was a very busy pub so didn't have a drink but worth visiting just to see the antique clocks.. Will definitely go back ....for a drink and another look.

What a perfect, no frills pub. I proper pub. After a long wet day at Alton towers we came here and received such a warm welcome, this and a homemade cottage pie was just wish we needed! Its very interesting and quirky inside, the owners are just lovely and made us feel a part of everything. It’s full of antiques and dog friendly, just a lovely find!

An unusual place worth the visit

What a great quirky pub, 16 off us on a tour around. Service was great, so was the beer.

A proper pub We didn't eat there but the food served looked good. Talked to local people and had a very social time. Exactly what a pub should be with many interesting artifacts including some clockwork music players. Has to be seen to be believed. One hopes it never changes.

Wow!!! That's all I can say please don't let pubs like this ever close down, it's fabulous & what lovely friendly people.

What a great pub for a Saturday lunch 10/10. Proper pub out in the sticks. Must do a return visit.

A hidden gem of a place. If you like little country pubs with local characters and a great traditional atmosphere then this is good 'un. Brilliant. It's pubs like this that need support so they don't disappear and become de- licensed and turned into a over priced 4 bed executive home with 4 more built on the beer garden !

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant - Seven of us (2 from Australia, 2 from Reading, 1 from Chinor and 2 from Staffordshire) were staying locally and booked here. Even though the Chef had Covid-19, we had a great welcome, fantastic friendly service and great pub food. If you have never been here - GO - a great family run pub, with charm. A great evening that we will never forget. We will definitely be back.

Super quirky and fun. Would love to go to one of the festivals. More suitable for adult groups rather than families with children.
