Hosted a baby shower here and it was a wonderful afternoon. Staff are so friendly and helpful,and had a lovely room out the back to ourselves. So much food,which he couldn’t finish,but everything was very tasty. The sausage rolls really went down well. Had a really lovely time, thanks so much. Will definitely be back!

Stayed here after Brighton marathon and it was perfect. Lovely rooms, delicious roast and friendly staff! Would stay again if in Hove.

Hosted a private party here on Saturday and the venue is fab ✨️ would 100% recommend, communication has been great and couldn't do more to make sure everything runs smoothly all guests loved it thankyou so much 😊

What a gorgeous little spot in rottingdean, I’ve been going here since I was a kid but having only moved back to Brighton, seeing the renovations and the new vibe was a treat. Gorgeous fun maximalist interior and I was seriously impressed with the food. Simple, well known dishes prepared beautifully with plenty of seasoning and served with a smile. Also loads of vegan/veggie/gluten free options which I wasn’t expecting. We’ll definitely be back and recommend highly!

The upstairs area is dirty and sticky. We were the first clients in the morning using the upstairs area, so it should have been clean, but it wasn’t. Could barely see through the window, tables were sticky. The coffee took ages to arrive, when it finally did was watery and I asked to the man about it, he was reluctant in replacing it, arguing that the coffee is fine. I was about to walk away and he said he will replaced it straight away. Croissants were not fresh, hard and crumbly. The location is great, on George street.

Unfortunately a very bad choice. Lovely atmosphere and clean, it looked promising... Menu is quite extensive but had to wait 45 min for the food to arrive... Sausages were burned and super dry. Quesadillas were soggy and tasteless. Cauliflower Curry was clearly a ready meal that was microwaved. And to our great surprise, the gravy is apparently frozen (?!?!) Never heard of such a thing, but when we asked to change the gravy to vegan, the chef couldn't do it as he had to defrost it first! 😲 So we sent the cardboard style sausages back. The burger that came was just dry. Oh, and the Tea pot had a big crack across it - so please just bin it.

I feel like most reviews are either bought or written by friends. We got ramen and rice cakes dishes and all tasted like instant food. Instant food prepared incorrectly with little to no flavour. Basically when you put too much water to your instant ramen that’s how it was. I feel disrespected…I can’t imagine anyone enjoying it

The café service lets this place down. The cashier gave my coffee away to someone else then she said "it's not my fault". It's like dealing with a child.

Wonderful cafe within the park, with ample seating inside and out, as well as the beer garden style external table/seating in the park area in front of the cafe. Broad menu, with vegan and gluten free options, possibly aimed towards the modern local consumer. No greasy spoon breakfast, but I am prepared to bet that smashed avocado 🥑 is an option. Having said that, my non-vegan, non gluten-free option I selected was genuinely delicious, and the staff were universally friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. A little bit pricey for me, but the quality was obvious. The wait time was also just outside what I would normally expect, but the staff attitude, attendance and updates struck just the right note. If you are looking for a premium quality cafe meal, or even just coffee and a snack or pastry, with excellent service and great options I can recommend The Garden Cafe. More expensive than a supermarket "Meal Deal"!, but made to order from premium quality local ingredients. I look forward to another return visit.

Decor and service excellent. Really smart. When were they the music was playing some banging tunes! We didn't eat and might have done but the menu was a bit confusing on the light bites and sharing. The food we did see looked good. The toilets are a bit odd with some interesting plumbing! Would go back again.

Worth every penny. The cats are very happy, healthy and content. Lots of stokes and chin rubs warmly welcomed by these very friendly purry cats. We had the best time thank you.

Nice place very vibey, definitely on its way to being 'the spot' in the laines. Only thing for me was that the staff weren't very chatty and the coffee is a bit pricey. Will be back though
