Hosted a baby shower here and it was a wonderful afternoon. Staff are so friendly and helpful, and had a lovely room out the back to ourselves. So much food, which he couldn’t finish, but everything was very tasty. The sausage rolls really went down well. Had a really lovely time, thanks so much. Will definitely be back!

There were 11 of us for a baby shower, very disappointed in the food they catered for eight people no fancy cakes it seem like the owner had run across the road to the co-op and bought the food out of the shop nothing was home-madeVery disappointed in the food cost £220 we’re not given option of tea or coffee if you want to coffee you had to pay very disappointed but not recommend don’t waste your money

Lovely place to go for brunch or even a coffee / pastry. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great and the food quality is great. It's the first place I've visited where I could order a pink latte! Would highly recommend visiting!

I went to Ava Betsy's for some brunch, with my wife last Saturday. We were visiting on the recommendation of some friends, and oh my word it didn't disappoint. As soon as we stepped through the door, we were given the warmest of welcomes and shown to a cosy table near the window. While we were perusing the menu, a lovely lady came over and introduced herself as Martina, the owner. It turns out that the cafe is named after her granddaughter. What a nice touch. We ordered 2 flat whites, and 2 full englishes. The coffee was great, nice and strong, and full of flavour. The breakfasts were fantastic, probably the best I've had for a long long time. All of the ingredients were of high quality (thick, juicy bacon; meaty, well-seasoned butchers sausage; fresh & tasty poached eggs; sourdough toast etc), and put together with love by the clearly talented chef. And don't get me started on the cakes, what an incredible selection. We were pretty full up but still managed to share a very generous slice of baked Italian cheesecake - which was to die for. If you want to try somewhere new, and value the friendly, personal touch of a family-run business, where they clearly love what they do - then head to Ava Betsy's asap, before the secret gets out. You won't regret it!

We discovered Ava Betsys on a wet and windy Saturday looking for somewhere to have late breakfast/brunch and we’re taken by the attractive floral decor outside. Once inside the cafe is like a tardis with plenty of comfy seating, nooks and crannies, most importantly child friendly. We were welcomed in by the lovely staff and ushered to a table right away. My husband had the full English breakfast which he declared delicious especially the high quality sausages and bacon. I had the eggs Benedict served on great sourdough and gorgeous creamy hollandaise. Yum ! The kids went quiet while demolishing their pancake stack piled high with fruit and maple syrup. Topped off with fab coffee (with complimentary hand made mini biscuits) and smoothies- it was one happy family. We had a nice chat with Martina the lovely owner who clearly loves her business - such a refreshing change to chain cafes. Almost didn’t want to review this place as would like to keep it secret but felt that this small business deserves a shout. Will definitely be returning soon!

Called in for coffee & cake on friends' recommendations and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely smooth latte, plus a slice of a delicious but super rich Italian biscuit cake. They're not long open and have worked hard on the décor, which is very feminine - even to a rose wall. Blokes needn't worry though as it's not 'catching' and the servings are generous! Friendly staff - and dog friendly. Only 4 stars because the background radio was a bit intrusive

I've walked past this pretty cafe but thought it was tiny and full every time I looked in. The size is deceptive as it carries on to the rear and is as pretty and welcoming there as it is front of cafe. It's bright, homely and a refreshing change to a chain cafe. It's clean, the staff are welcoming and the food and drinks are mmmmmmm!!! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who make sure they have time to treat you as a human being with a genuine smile and interest that you have what you need and have enjoyed your visit. Definitely my first choice and I would definitely recommend you give it a try. I guarantee you'll want to go back for more. (No I'm not related to these lovely people - this is a genuine review!)

I was passing by as noticed this Cafe as it has a 'Stand Out' frontage. I decided to check it out as fancied a coffee and a late breakfast. There were people eating outside and I was able to park my Motorbike very close (and free) in the side road. I notice how different this establishment was and was greeted by friendly staff. I ordered a Flat White and a brunch meal of Eggs Benedict, this was served on lovely sourdough bread. The eggs had a deep orange yolk and I later found out all the fresh produce is sourced locally. I was pleased with everything about this place, the service, eatery and staff were first class. I will be returning!

Un gran personal de cafetería y súper amable y la comida era fantástica mejor pescado y patatas fritas que tuve en mucho tiempo. El propietario se toma un tiempo para charlar y asegurarse de que su experiencia sea buena.

Lovely little coffee shop with friendly staff and a great Chai Latte and no remote workers with laptops squatting with no drinks …. Perfect well done 👏

I am so fed up with the chains and 'high-end' places for coffee and some food - particularly when their meagre vegan offerings are expensive and disappointing. So I was delighted to find The Tea Leaf today! I was freezing cold and starving and looked at the menu in the window - plenty of vegan options.. Yay! Nice and quirky inside - cushions, cosy and welcoming.. Couldn't decide between the stuffed peppers, minestrone soup, baked potato or a toasted sandwich. Eventually went for the latter-- lovely garlicky hummus, avocado at its best and veg... all served in toasted sourdough. And a lovely cup of tea with oat milk. Nosey me found that this place has only been taken over 2 months ago and, honestly, their vegan options were the best along the road (I looked at every cafe). If you want a warm welcome, quirky and a change from the same-old, same-old - theTea Leaf is for you.
