The guys that work there are great and always with a smile on their face. The food is tasty, fresh and healthy. Ideal to sit and eat outside the shop (there is a small space inside to eat), or eat in the park or on the beach when the weather is good. They always have great music playing. One of our favourite places to eat. We are regulars!

Had the lasagna, fresh ingredients, nice cheese and delicious. Great service, nice coffee and good value

Wandered down to pick up a sandwich for lunch as I'd heard good things about this place. Sandwich was delicious and although it was busy, service was very friendly. I will definitely be a regular lunchtime visitor.

If you have never visited Brighton's wonderful lanes you have missed a culinary treat. Hell's Kitchen is typical of the dozens of amazing takeaways including their mouth watering latkas. The queue is testament to the choice of brilliant treats that await you inside served to music by an energetic young crew. Go there when you are hungry!

Need a sandwich, or a bite to eat while on the go... this is the place. Fantastic service, the owner (an Irish lad) is an awesome host & a delight to talk to. The selection of snacks, sandwiches (made to order) & light bites is truly incredible... and everything tastes wonderful.

I’ve never taken the time to review a sandwich shop before but this was amazing. I had the ‘greed’ one of a series of 7, sure you get the gist. So fresh and tasty., can’t believe I’ve been coming her for all these years and never tried before. Highly recommend

My family and I grabbed sandwiches from the 2 guys in Hells Kitchen this afternoon, they were absolutely divine. The 2 guys were great, chatty, friendly and funny. 2 tuna salad seeded bagels, one chicken, bacon & jalapeño baguette, one ham sandwich and one cheese & onion bagel for the hubby (who dislikes bagels but that was all that was left - and then loved it!). Thanks guys, when next in Brighton we’ll be back

Myself and my mum ventured in on a recommendation from a friend, and were not disappointed! I had a lovely mixture of the salads on offer and my mum had the Reuben sandwich - we both had a latte. Everything was delicious and fresh, would definitely go back again.

Top salads, really delicious, ‘small’ is plenty for one hungry person so good value. Chickpea salad is my fave.

Went as a passing visit being our first time in Brighton, had a really good selection of food and drink at a reasonable price. Recommend if I’m the Brighton however the prices are not displayed so do not necessarily know how much your paying beforehand.

As far as I’m concerned, a trip to Brighton isn’t complete if I haven’t had a bite to eat from Hells Kitchen. The quality of the food is always so high and the portions are incredibly generous. I can honestly say I’ve never had a sandwich there that I didn’t love. My go-to is usually a Wrath but I can say from experience that Pride and Gluttony are both incredible as well and, while the temptation of the wonderful sandwiches is too high for me to resist, the salads look amazing too.

Nice food for a very good value. The staff are always really friendly and clearly have good knowledge and recommendations of the food. Only issue is seating area when busy but thats to be expected given the placement of the shop.

I have been here twice now and fortunately it has not changed abit.. my wife has the four option salad box and I had a meatball sub.. i dont know who was happier..great produce fresh and super tasty..great value and the staff are so friendly the large menus not intimidating as the so patient and helpful..great job guys will be back soon..Steve and Emma peacehaven.

Two of us had Envy and the other had a Sausage Roll. Abso-bloomin-lutely delicious, full of filling, great tasting bread, fresh green salad, terrific value and totally lovely staff. Huge selection of menu items so something for everyone. Highly recommend.

SOO Yummy! Had the Gluttony and my husband had the Pride. Both had great flavor and the sandwiches are pretty big. Also there's a good amount of sauce but they aren't too messy. The meatballs included in mine was amazing! Look forward to going back to try more of the menu.

Insieme a mio fratello, abbiamo sentito Hell's Kitchen prima di vederla!!! MUSICA ROCK degli anni 70 a volume 11, e abbiamo dato un'occhiata nella vetrina (non eravamo ancora pronti per pranzare). Tornando indietro un'ora più tardi, abbiamo deciso di fermarci e mangiare uno dei panini. Il ragazzo dietro il banco è stato molto cordiale e sorridente, e mi ha fatto sentire "a casa" subito. Abbiamo ordinato un panino "Reuben"....fantastico, grande (anzi, l'abbiamo condiviso in due) e due caffè. La prossima volta che mi trovo a Brighton, in quella zona, tornerò a Hell's Kitchen, di sicuro. Ho dato un voto 4 al servizio solo perchè non c'è servizio a tavolo e per via della musica alta...a me è stata una cosa piacevole ma potrebbe essere fastidioso per altri.

Popped in here on our way through the North Lanes, this place is always busy, in a very good way, due to the sheer choice and quality of food served, I love the Latkes from here though there are many other good choices, the home made sausage rolls are one to sell your soul for, but todays Cheese and Garlic Latke was awesome, incredibly light texture, full some flavour and basically a full portion on a plate, and did I mention at £3.00 it is a steal, nothing not to like about this place including awesome artisan coffee

Hells Kitchen is in the Lanes, making it very busy & very popular. We stopped by for a quick bite to eat on Saturday. A sunny Saturday in the tourist filled Lanes in the middle of august! We must have been mad!

When in Brighton I have visited Hells Kitchen often. The choice of food is second to none and it is so hard to chose, especially if there’s someone waiting or you feel like your keeping the server waiting. Well this place was high on the list, and have been waiting to go long before it opened. And it does not disappoint. Ate at the bar on a busy Thursday night. The wagyu meatballs were to die for, sauce was a little rich and heavy trying to eat on your own, its easily a starter for 2 people. Obviously i had the beef wellington and it looked so good, and tasted even better than expected. The beef was so tender, i could tell just by cutting into it that it would taste amazing. the pastry was creamy, fresh and buttery at the same time. I dont know how something can be so good. the only downside to this place is that it spoils you and other restaurants i visited on other days simply wont have food this good.

We got two different takeaway sandwiches from here (Reuben and Greed) and both were excellent! All of the food that we saw looked really good and if we had stayed longer we would have been back to try more things! Really good, fresh sandwiches made in front of you.

Was tempted in by the healthy sounding sandwiches and salads and wasn't disappointed. Firstly the staff are wonderful and friendly, the selection superb and we had an Envy sandwich which was tasty an delicious. We ate outside in the sunshine and recommended it to passers by.

Their friendliness is great and adds to the experience but quite frankly they could throw slops at me and I'd still come back for their wonderful latkes.

I would challenge anyone to find sandwiches more scrumptious than these, served by friendlier people. They have a great selection already, but you can make up your own sarnie if you like. If you don't fancy one, you can always grab one of their (vegan) salads, a mac and cheese, a lasagna, or any of their other toothsome treats.

I visit Hell's Kitchen everyday for lunch and I'm always pleased with the food, the sandwiches are so delicious and there is such a good variety. The salad boxes are so fresh and everyone should try the latkes! All the staff there are so friendly and welcoming so it is a really nice environment to be in!

I'm a regular and i'm constantly greeted by friendly faces. I love the celeriac remoulade, coronation chickpeas and the Yankee potatoes are incredible!

Super friendly staff, always very chatty and friendly even when it's busy. The food is great (especially the coronation chickpea!). They're very happy to make changes/substitutes to ingredients, or to let you make your own sandwich from scratch which is great as a veggie so you have loads of options!

Made several visits to Hells Kitchen in the past few years but called there this year and it seems to have lost its upfront friendly service. It was ok but it seemed a struggle to finally have what I was asking for and then the portions seemed to have been reduced. I asked for jacket potato with tuna and cheese but it came with some tuna but no cheese. Did not bother about the cheese as I was glad to leave.

Had drink and snack here. Sat outside on benches. Unfortunately these seats are dangerous. I turned to put rubbish in the bin and the bench tipped up causing me to fall off. Suffered bad bruising. The benches are light and there is nothing to weight...

What a great find the salad bar box for £6.50 full to the brim of wonderful flavours and big on taste you choose what you want. Hubby had a lust which was a seeded baguette full of ripe tasty brie with cranberries. I only wish Hell's Kitchen was in my home town.

This place looks like your run-of-the-mill sandwich bar from outside but it is far from it - the creativity for the range of fillings is incredible, and they are really filling sandwiches. It made a nice change to be able to have something huge and meaty, as nearly everything else in Brighton seemed to be a vegan restaurant! I'm sure they do vegan food too - but it's nice to have somewhere to be a carnivore :o)

This place rocks!! The salad bar is immense- selection of 6 salads in a box!! Fantastic salad options (all vegetarian and vegan) and the portion size (large) is very very ample! My son and I stopped here for an early lunch. The sandwich selection look fabulous. we chose from the seven deadly sins menu. He had Greed-bacon, chicken,cheese, ham, pickles,salad and more sandwich. I had Lust-brie, cranberry,walnuts,olives, grapes and salad. I have to say we both thought they were two of the best sandwiches we have ever had. The rest of the food on over looked amazing I'm sure we will be returning.

Sandwiches galore, salad aplenty, pastry treats, you cannot go wrong stopping off here for lunch. The staff are really friendly and efficient. The food is excellent value. It's a takeout place but they have some seating outside on a fine day. This is the place to go for lunch in the Laines!

We was leaving brighton but needed food before we left and everywhere was closing so quickly ran in here where the young lady was on her own but politely told us she'd get to us. I'm glad we waited. I had a baguette with meatballs, chorizo and cheese etc (I can't remember the proper name!) but it was amAzing! I also had a mac and cheese ball which was nice too. The food here is excellent but the queue is always huge! One person working at 12.30. I have had to give up a few times in the queue! It might be time to look at the staffing levels!Such a shame because the food is great

I was wandering past one lunchtime and was enticed in my their menu board and welcoming staff. I was recommended to try a ciabatta with meatballs and chicken, and I have to say it was delicious. The price was reasonable at £5.25 and I sat on their benches outside on the street to eat it. The fillings were fresh and tasty, and the combinations of ingredients worked well together. I was stuffed at the end of it and I would definitely like to visit here again.

They make different sandwiches, fresh and as you like it, you can choose the bread aswell. They also have some special salades and you can decide to take a small or large box. It's worth to try them all...so you better go more than once.

I absolutely love Hell's Kitchen! They do fabulous sandwiches and wraps as well as jacket potatoes and salsa. Their butternut squash and lentil dish is completely incredible and I am unable to replicate it at home! Go visit and enjoy the deliciousness.

Words cant easily describe how much I love the sandwiches in this place, I love my food, and being 6 foot 5, how can I not?Good size, hearty sandwiches with lovely fresh ingredients, and not your normal fillers, but hot melted cheeses, meatballs, rare beef and tons of homemade sauces!They also have loads of meat free stuff fro you wierdo veggie/vegan lovers out there!(and don't get me started on the pasties, pastry's and accompany stuff!!)If your wondering around this part of Brighton.....grab a sarnie!!

I was lucky enough to work near this Excellent sandwich shop for many months. So as often as I could I used to enjoy a trip to hell - or least Hells Kitchen. I imagine that making sandwiches every day might not be a perpetually enjoyable experience - but the staff at HK always greet returning and new customers warmly and with interest about what you are looking to enjoy that day. The list of sandwiches is diverse and original and all of them are made to order. Portions are generous and ingredients are always fresh. Fortunately orders which "off list" are also welcome I was lucky enough to become something of a regular so I was sometimes offered something special that had just been made that day as a treat. And it always was. HK is more than just a sandwich shop though. There are also latkes and other delights available that I steadily made my way through that never disappointed. And if you have room there are baked treats for that any sweet tooth will be more than satisfied with. In fact delighted by. So take a trip to hell - or at least Hells Kitchen in Brighton's North Laines. Any sandwich restaurant that has been in business since 1951 is relying on more than the devil's magic.

This is a good place to pop in for a lite bite on the go, but the service can be slow at peak times (08:00am - 09:30am & 12:00pm - 13:30pm). The variety and home made quality is good and the food is very tasty but at £5 on average for a sandwich it does fall into the expensive bracket.

Any Saturday in the seaside town of Brighton and many of the streets around the North Laines area are closed off for stalls, strolling locals, tourists and tables from the many and varied eateries. Always looking for something a little different for lunch we stopped at the sandwich bar called HELLS KITCHEN, fascinated by an advertising slogan for 'Bad*** Sandwiches', would they live up to the boast?The other half had a smoked salmon and crayfish in a seeded baguette, and after the first bite, following several 'oohs' and 'aahs' , as the best she had tasted. We had situated ourselves on chairs and a table in the middle of the road where come Monday traffic would be flowing, but for today the only thing flooding the street was bright sunshine.I love a salt-beef sandwich and Tristan behind the counter had assured me I would be more than happy, the salted beef coming from a Mayfair deli but roasted by his establishment. The pickles and spices were all his. I had it as a sandwich where the delicious meat was slapped, with panache, between two slices of Rye Sourdough bread.Mouth watering does not do it justice, in fact few words could describe it fully. It was packed with flavour, the meat soft, the pickles just sharp enough and a delicate English mustard. Perfect... We accompanied lunch with a Roobus and Honey tea, teabags from a few yards down the road from Hells Kitchen, and it was sweet and refreshing on a warm spring day.Fabulous lunch in the heart of Bohemian Brighton.

We went to the little sattelite deli in Hove and my goodness, the latkes were amazing! Best one I've had in years! They were hot, soft and mouth-watering. I had the cheese and bacon and just adored it. The coffees were good and the service lovely. Great takeaway breakfast!

The name caught my eye so I popped in for a quick bite to eat and wasn't disappointed. While they didn't have everything for my order in stock, they were quick to suggest alternatives and the food was marvellous! Not cheap but value for money.

During my last few trips to Brighton I've stopped off for lunch here, and the Wrath sandwich is a firm favourite - spicy but with plenty of flavour. I really should branch out and try other things on the menu, but it really is very good. I really do like the fact that part of their menu is named after the seven deadly sins.As others have commented, for a sandwich it's not exactly cheap, but considering Pret and friends' prices, it's not a rip off by any means.

We've been coming to Hell's Kitchen for about 15 years and always look forward to their great bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese or salt beef. With a latke on the side. But on a Sunday lunch yesterday, there were no bagels, no latkes and the smoked salmon wasn't even on the menu. In fairness they were friendly and did offer to make that combination and we had our usual fillings in sandwich form. I know things change and we should embrace it but they also say not to mess with things that work. I think they may be under new management so I won't write them off just yet. But with a new branch opening in Hove as well, I suspect they've got their work cut out with all the competition.

Popped in here to get takeout lunch after walking past a few places as it looked like there was a good selection. We were right! Some gorgeous salads and wonderful other bites like lamb samosas, vegetable curry slices, scotch eggs and loads more. Super tasty loveliness!!

I've visited the new Hell's Kitchen in Hove twice now, the first time I had a jacket potato which I wasn't particularly impressed with and thought it was very expensive, however I went back again with an open mind to have one of their salad boxes. The small box was £5 (which I think is a lot...) I had three of the different types of salad, I enjoyed the vegetable pesto pasta, the potato and gherkin salad was ok but the greek salad was very disappointing. The red onions in it were so strong and there were so many of them it just completely overpowered the whole thing... The guys working in the shop are very nice and the service is good I just think you need to drop your prices by a pound or two and possibly not put quite so much red onion in the greek salad!

I have a measure which I use every time I go to a sandwich shop for the first time. It doesn't mean the sandwich will necessarily be better but it tells me that they understand the detail and give a s**t. The measure is a question. The question is "black pepper?". I got a Ruben bought for me on Saturday. That question was asked of my girlfriend and the care to supply a top notch sandwich was evident before I even took a bite. When I did... wow. Perhaps the best Ruben I have ever had. It's £5 a go, so there are cheaper, but I have come across many that will charge that price but give not a lot back. This was packed, well worth the money. Hell's Kitchen, don't change, brilliant.

Wonderful food made with love. Great, fresh ingredients used and no nasties added. Staff knowledgeable about what is in each of the items on the menu so easy for those with specific requirements to eat.

Always enjoy a pit stop at this lovely, small eatery. The food is always excellent and I would recommend any of the baps. But this is a place to experiment and try something new, as well as something familiar.

I've walked past this shop countless times and stared at the lovely looking pastries and salads in the window, so one day I decided to go in and try out some food. The pastry I had (spinach or something like that?) was really tasty and the latke was nice but I probably wouldn't have that one again. I came in on a different occasion and we tried the ciabattas which were huge but I managed to finish it as it was so tasty. Would definitely recommend! The service was very personal - really friendly girl who was happy to personalise my sandwich.

We ate in at hells kitchen today. Absolutely amazing food. We had a small and large box of a variety of salad dishes on offer, the atmosphere was chilled and we will recommend this eatery to our friends. The negative comments about seating are a little unfair as there is limited space and of course they need to try and please all their customers. Great staff amazing food. We were on a short break during October half-term and exploring The Lanes, when we stumbled across Hells Kitchen.The menu had a Halloween theme and looked tempting and reasonably price. My wife went for a 'pick n Mix' salad box, while myself and the 3 of my children went for ciabattas. The salad selection was not your usual 'run of the mill', but was very tasty. The selections she chose were Lentil and butternut squash, fried potatoes with aubergine and a salad with olives. Each had its own dressing and all of which my wife enjoyed greatly.I chose a fiery Ciabatta with meatballs, smoked ham and pepperoni, jalapeno peppers and a hot sauce and melted cheese. The children chose (Gluttony), which had meatballs, chicken, jalapenos, dill pickles and melted cheese.These were carefully constructed on plates that were then placed in a oven to melt the cheese and then the contents was loaded in to our rolls. A lot of care was taken to put them together and wrap them. We all had a bag of crisps and the total came to £28, which for 4 well stuffed ciabattas, 4 bags of crisps and a salad box was good value.Oh by the way, they tasted fantastic.PS the staff were politer and adjusted our orders to suit the children and were careful, but swift.If you're hungry its well worth a visit.

All food are amazing, healthy and fresh, the Hells Kitchen is the healthy place to eating out.The staff are very friendly I love it Recommended 100%

Theres always a queue here for lunch which in my books means its good, but for a £5 you can have one of the 7 deadly sins sandwiches/batons which are amazing hot, very filled, fresh ingredients, I nearly cried when I had eaten mine and there was a lot to eat. Not for the faint hearted, go if you dare!!!!
