Cracking fish and chip shop, solid food and lovely staff. Been here a few times and I'll be going out of my way to do so again. Fat, juicy chips, big range of fish options, old school gherkins and all the trimmings.

Having had such a wonderful experience at Wolfies last year had to go back to see if it was a lucky day or if they are consistently good. Went today during a storm and was so pleased because yet again the gluten free fish and chips were delicious and some of my family who aren't coeliacs also had the gluten free meal because they think the batter is nicer. For those who dont know they are very cross contamination aware and use separate fryers. Today I had to tell them what a joy it is to people like me to be able to eat such good food and feel safe.

Good choices but, when they are busy, poor service. Food not as good as other "chippies" but it;'s ok and it's handy and local.

Just had the most amazing lunch. Smoked Mackerel on toast, served on sour dough, with avocado, black olive salsa and poached egg. The customer service was friendly and the food was perfect, tasty and well presented. Well worth another visit to sample the rest of the menu.. yum yum 😋

After a long journey from Canterbury we found this excellent venue for lunch I had the salt beef on a toasted bagel my wife had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup both were delicious plus along with the superbe coffee it was an all round very pleasant experience. I forgot the mention the staff they were brilliant

Visited with husband, friends and solo. One I can't keep away from! Great laid back relaxing atmosphere, reliable food and good portion size. Really happy helpful and friendly staff. Keep it up! Also very convenient for takeaway on route to the train station...

I *love* this place! Great for tea/coffee and cake or for food. I had the pancakes, the mothership had the hash, both generous and delicious. The decor is slick, the tunes are poppin', and the staff are friendly and charming. I always leave Wolfie's with my spirits lifted!

Popped in a few days ago with a large group of friends towards the end of their opening times. They were still very pleasant and accommodated us. Couldn’t say more nice things about the staff- this time we were being served by the lovely Anna and the really nice blond chap (forgot his name but is always super on top of things and always very friendly!). The eggs Florentine was absolutely delicious and the broccoli Stilton soup warmed my winter soul! Honestly the chefs absolutely hit the nail on head with their menu variety and selections whilst keeping it simple and delicious. This place will always be our go to brunch spot for Hove, the owners and staff should be proud.

Visited Wolfies. Nothing was too much trouble even when I went off menu and asked for something not listed. Food was freshly cooked and was perfect. Definitely would recommend a visit if in the area

Safe to say, this is a regular by now for myself and my boyfriend when we go here for breakfast/brunch. I've tried several of their dishes and every single one was so good!! The quality of the food, the prices, the staff, the atmosphere...for me personally this is, hands down, the best place I've been to for breakfast in Brighton and Hove!!

They are on to a winner with their amazing salt beef, well combined with the soft toasted buttered bagel, mustard and pickles. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful with getting a dish I would love. Can't wait for the summer so I can sit outside with a coffee and watch the world go by

Wonderful service and delicious food as always from wolfies. The saltbeef hash was a real gut buster but I couldn't stop eating it until it was all gone!!! My girlfriend had the morning rarebit special and was delighted. I love this place.

This place is full of promise, trendy menu but I think too many customers reduce the quality of food reviews, I has undercooked potato hash,egg,bacon and toast, the waitress was frustrated and impolite, I went on e and it was fab, second time horrible hence review and vow never to return

Breakfast hash was a real winner. Great location, lovely people, yummy coffee, awesome food. Definitely coming here again to try more of the surprisingly large menu

Whoever Wolfie is, he has got it spot on !! Lovely staff, and lovelier food - my children never want to go anywhere else for breakfast..great team of staff so thank you for putting up with us (all the time it seems!!)

On our way back home to Hove from a family bike ride around Brighton, on a slightly damp Sunday afternoon, we really wanted fish and chips but to eat in with a nice atmosphere. We found exactly what we were looking for at Wolfies Kitchen. The Fish and Chips were great, as always, and we were amazed by the variety and choice on the menu (so much so that my husband had to order 2 sandwiches!!) Staff were friendly and kind. We will definitely be going back.

What a little gem of a cafe. I’ve visited a few times now and, regardless of who’s working, have always been warmly welcomed like a friend by lovely staff. Good range of tasty options and veggie, vegan and GF-conscious. Whatever you’re doing in Hove it’s worth arriving early to pop in here, even just for a coffee. Thank you for making me feel so welcome!

Wolfies are constantly pulling it out the hat and haven’t let down again with the salt beef bagel-just a delight and simply HAS to be tried.

Salt beef is unbelievable, best I’ve had this side of Brick Lane. Great stop of point going up to London, right by Hove Station. Great coffee too! 😍

I come here for breakfast once every few weeks. I always enjoy the atmosphere and food. Just reacently they've had a special of mackerel and poached eggs on toast with a black olive salsa.... it is delicious and I've been there two days in a row to quell my cravings... I fear it might not be my last!

Have been to this "kitchen" before. Arrived there today around 1.15 PM, 2 of us, not that busy, ordered and then waited, saw several customers call in and take away food, but nothing for us. After 15 or so minutes I asked where our food was, and was told it's coming soon. Another wait and eventually one of the staff deigned to appear with our drinks (cup of tea and a glass of water). Asked again where the food was and was reassured it was on the way. After over half an hour, noting (with irritation) that there were people queuing in front of me who had just called in and had been served with take-aways, I asked again where our order was. Receiving no clear explanation, I decided that was enough. I asked for and got a refund. I also got an apology. I got no explanation. I won't be going back.

Thrilled to have discovered this place thanks to several recommendations. Loved the cosy atmosphere. Most tables were taken, very clearly a popular place and rightly so. Wonderful selection of food and drinks! Best breakfast I’ve had from any cafe! Can’t wait to re-visit

I come here a lot. The new salad board is a really good idea and sets the place apart. But what keeps me coming back is the wonderful service and delicious food. Truly the best place in hove.

After a short stay in Brighton we were up early looking for somewhere for breakfast before our journey home.

Visited this beautiful caf again :) love to come back as their food is just soooooo delicious. I am actually addicted to their potato rosti, having it most of the times as a late breakfast! 2 poached eggs and nice creamy mushroom sauce. Just love it!!! Can't get enough of it. We also tried their hashes, burgers and salt beef. All of them are very yummy and they have lots of vegetarian options. We just love to come back, amazing atmosphere, nice music and also.... proper coffee ;) Pitty they stopped their amazing jacket potatoes :(

I love this place the food is always consistently good the atmosphere is chilled and the service is excellent, such a pleasant change from the big chains. Keep up the good work whoever you are that make this place so good.

22 work colleagues pre-booked and we all had our meals on the table within ten minutes. I had fish'n'chips, others had baked potato, pies, sandwiches. I also had almond slice and Chilean wine very nice indeed. Everyone was really impressed with the quality and portion size of their dishes, as well as the warm and relaxed atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. David the owner and his team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after. I've since been back and had a hearty burger and plentiful salad, so big and tasty I had to ask for a doggy bag. Next time I look forward to the chorizo hash, mmmm!

Have been away for a few months, but was really looking forward to coming back here and having a decent breakfast. I am so disappointed in the service and quality of food. I felt like I was being served food from the all night cafe you visit when your drunk!! My coffee was just about drinkable, but the breakfast was bad. If I wasn’t so hungry and felt like my complaint would actually have been listened to I may have said something. The fact that it seems it’s all pretty new staff in here my favourite and by the old guy who sat next to me’s favourite member of staff and most of the good ones have left have me thinking they jumped a sinking ship! I really hope it was a one off but I’m not holding out much hope.

Ordered an eggs benedict and a flat white, Flat white was OK, and eggs were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the chef thinks that a small amount of butter and a shoot-salad with loads of balsamic reduction poured liberally over the top is the expected topping for an eggs benedict.

I love this place, food is always such good quality, made fresh and with a smile. I recommend the chicken, bacon and avo sandwhich or any of the hashes!

Came in for quick lunch the place was very busy. The two girls out front were rushing around like nobodies business. Seemed busy but it show the service was wonderful. The food arrived very promptly and exceeded expectations. I will be back. And I will tell all my friends

Just had lunch at this restaurant. Usually have a good meal. Did not enjoy today.

Literally just finished a chicken and chorizo panini, bought as a take away snack for the train. It was a thing of beauty. Proper chorizo, not those slices some places use. Lovely chunks of chicken and melted mozzarella. I want another one.

Visiting daughter for New Year’s Eve .. we ventured out in the rain to grab a bite to eat . We found Wolfies Kitchen by chance. What a gem of a place . Happy welcoming staff, lovely coffee, great food. It soon became busy - not sure what it will be like in the summer. We will definitely be going back .

I can't believe I never discovered this gem of a place before and it is right on my doorstep! I currently run holiday let apartments in Hove and will 100% recommend Wolfies to all my guests. The menu caters for all tastes; I just fancied an English breakfast mid afternoon and was not disappointed. The eggs were perfectly cooked, quality bacon and sausage and lovely chewy brown bread. Excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly and there was a nice buzz to the place - shall be back!

Really fancied a delicious Cheeseburger and chips but am gluten free so my options are limited. They do great gluten free fish so I assumed the burgers would be good too. How wrong could I be, a small totally tastless pattie swamped by a giant dry and crumbly gluten free bun, revolting fries tasting as though they had been fried in months old oli. Utterly revolting very expensive at £10, put the whole thing in the bin!!

Dropped in while waiting for a train. Ordered two freshly cooked sandwiches but forgot to mention the train! One was ready when we had to flee to catch our train. Without our knowledge they ran after us when the second one was ready but the train doors had just closed. How is that for service beyond the call of duty. The sausage and bacon sandwich was great but I couldn't share it with my wife as she doesn't eat meat! We will pick up the vegetarian sausage one next time we are passing ( joke).

The staff make this place a friendly and excellent little spot for brunch! Good selection on the menu, with really nice hashes and goat cheese bagels are yum! Also really good coffee. We feel week looked after when we visit and live the laid feel to the place.

I’ve made multiple trip here either for a full English or a bacon sandwich or egg, bacon and muffin. Always offers good food, decent value and friendly and efficient service.

They've just started opening in the evening and have a great burger selection and beers. The side dishes are super too. Male sure you go there hungry because the portions are generous. Service is friendly and fast. You won't go home disappointed.

Visited this weekend for breakfast - I wanted to try somewhere new, and I was near Hove station... so glad we popped in here!

Stopped for breakfast and so glad we did. Great friendly efficient staff served great tasty food. I had the salt beef hash which was wonderful, full of great flavours, whilst my partner had the breakfast hash. The egg and cheese goes together surprisingly well. Coffee was excellent. First of all I must say that the front of house staff here really are lovely.

as a huge (and fussy) coffee fan I drive down to Wolfies kitchen every morning before I start work to get my coffee fix! the staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming, the coffee is quite simply the best in town! The young man who usually makes my coffee always remembers my order too which is a really nice little touch. I often take my family in there on the weekend for breakfast and all I can say about the food is that if you haven't tried it you need to get yourself down there! Competitively priced, generous portions and top quality service all round to go with it! The kids love it and really look forward to going there. Keep the great work up guys! Cut above the rest!

I have tried a couple of the breakfast items here, Avocado Toast with scrambled egg (£6.00); and The Traditional Breakfast (£6.00) and found both selections really good and enjoyable. I would happily recommend this diner for a tasty breakfast.

This is the second time I've been here and am still impressed. Both times have been great- the hash is amazing and the avocado toast was great value. Friendly staff, clean toilet and a nice range of food. Good location near to the station too.

So I popped into Wolfies to grab a sandwich for my train trip. They didn't have any grab and go and so offered to make me from scratch. I didn't realise how late I was for my train and asked how long it would be. I didn't realise either they cooked the ingredients from scratch!! Anyways, the lady behind the counter told me to go fetch my tickets for the train (i had yet to buy) and she would bring my Sandwich to the ticket office. What amazing service!! It was only up the road but never the less, who does that!? So a BIG THANK YOU to you for being very kind when it was my fault for leaving it all so late. On top of that, the freshly cooked chicken, bacon and avo sandwich was so delicious. Top marks for service and food. Made my morning

Stopped here for tea and coffee before getting the train to London. 2 minutes walk from Hove train station, so great location. newly opened cafe, nicely decorated, seats outside which are great for sitting at on a sunny morning and watching the world go by.

Wow. This place came highly recommended and did not dissapoint. Menu is superb and the staff are lovely. Group of 10 of us with 4 kids and all the food came out together and was hot and delicious. The hash is particularly good. We will come back and recommend others to do so. Top drawer.

Having previously written a review about Wolfies Kitchen on the Wolfies of Hove page. I am so pleased to say that the quality is still amazing as it was months ago. I have been raving about this place to all my friends and i finally was able to bring my friend in to try it out.

Great food, lovely service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend the cod and chips. The Cafe a couple doors down 'Wolfies Kitchen' is incredible. The coffees are very tasty as well as their delightful 'Salt Beef Hash.' Definitely worth a visit. 😍

This is the first time going to wolfies kitchen with my other half. I must say they exceeded my expectations with an exquisite meal for both of us, I ordered the wolfies special hash and the portion was huge and every bite made me feel like I was in heaven, my girlfriend got a goats cheese spinach and mushroom toastie, this was also a lot bigger than anticipated as the prices are very reasonable! That was the best goats cheese sandwich she had. You get treated like royalty and the staff are very friendly! If I was to have my last breakfast it would be at wolfies kitchen. Everything about this place is perfect to different selections of teas with a fantastic menu that caters for all.

This is a must, the Eggs Benedict was the best I have ever tasted, friendly staff, contemporary decor and relaxed atmosphere! - Highly recommended
