Betterday in Brighton and Hove

Went for a friends birthday, the food was amazing and the staff were really nice and friendly aswell would highly recommend

Really reasonably priced ramen with excellent flavour

For lunch,we ordered 2 grilled meat set lunches ( beef and pork belly). Beef was gamey and pale no char or aroma, pork belly was dead dry. Rice was very little and very microwave dry which could be picked up in shape of the bowl it was in. Tofu soup was salty n gamey taste again. Walked away from lunch feeling the taste and quality is not justifiable for the price. Not recommended and very puzzled by the 5 star reviews.

a kind owner, nice mood. Above all food tasted very good. I came to the UK to visit and found this restaurant by chance. The friendly owner had a nice atmosphere. I ordered kimchi pancake and ramen and it reminded me so much of Korea. (It's a secret that I had only been traveling for 4 days when I visited) Anyway, the food was really delicious and thank you for giving me great memories!

El lugar es un poco más como una cafetería que un restaurante, que está bien, sin embargo, el ambiente se siente un poco frío y ambos estábamos usando chaquetas dentro del restaurante, ya que la temperatura no era cómoda. Discovered Betterday on our walk into town. Great quality food at reasonable price.

Absolutely banging. Have been to several ramen and noodle places in brighton. This was by far the best in my experience. The ramen seemed ENDLESS, great quality, delicious broth. We also sampled the popcorn chicken, which was amazing. Asked for an extra kimchi with the ramen and then came around with loads of kimchi for the table (very kindly charged us for 1). Excellent service, excellent food.

La comida más horrible que he comido, fuimos a almorzar con amigos y solo pedimos entrantes, ya que solo teníamos 1 hora para el almuerzo. pedimos las palomitas de pollo, alitas de pollo y calamares y algunos lados vegetales - la comida tardó más de 30 minutos en salir y éramos uno de los únicos clientes allí, así que realmente no debería haber tomado tanto tiempo. Struggle to believe any of the reviews are real. The food was so bad it was laughable. Packet noodles with frozen vegetables chucked into a broth. The only positive was the waiter was friendly.

The food is so delicious that I've been back several times and the owner is really friendly.

The food was quite good. The ramen was a bit too oily and as it came out hot the oil was a bit uncomfortable when having it hot. The kimchi pancake and the Korean sausage where the standouts. I would definitely recommend, but I am not rushing back there over other restaurants in the area.

Cheap and cheerful place but the food was really mediocre, doenjang broth lacking in depth and bland.

The food was amazing! Highly recommend the cheesy Katsu curry! The cocktails were delicious too. The staff were super friendly, attentive and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you :)))

Delicious authentic dishes! We absolutely loved everything we tried - especially the crispy tteokbokki and the popcorn chicken. Ramn was excellent too though we're glad we asked for mild/less spicy! Would definifley eat here again, good prices too :)

Came here today quite late in the day was served immediately and sat down the young lady was lovely and attentive. Ordered starters which came out pretty quickly. Was then given the mains before we finished the starter so again quickly the food was absolutely amazing!! The Kimchi Ramen was so full of flavour. I then started to panic as it looked like they were closing up when the man who looked like he was the manager/ owner came over and told us not to rush and to take our time. We then had soju to finish recommended to us, very yummy!! Was a very lovely and pleasant experience will definitely be back again!! And for Brighton it was very reasonably priced! Loved it! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Thank you for such a lovely experience :)

Delicious, came here on a Monday night, the atmosphere was amazing, had such a great time with my friends staff were great, I was served by tulip and the owner both who treated us with care. The food was amazing I will definitely be coming back!! The cocktails were also super yummy 😋

As a native Korean, this restaurant is 100% native korean restaurant better than real korean restaurant in Korea. Especially the kimchi is crazy, it might be directly delivered from Korea. I'm so happy to meet this good restaurant in Brighton. I recommend kimchi ramen I went there believing the reviews from Koreans, but I was surprised at how delicious it was. I was thinking about just having a quick meal in Brighton before moving on to London, but I trusted the reviews and went there, and it was more delicious than I expected. In fact, many Korean restaurants abroad are just imitations and are very expensive, but the prices here are much better than in London and the kimchi ramen is crazy. It is the highest tier kimchi flavor in Korea. If you are looking for a Korean restaurant in Brighton, just visit here. And if it’s kimchi, I highly recommend it. I ordered chicken wings and kimchi ramen and it came to about 12 pounds.

Straight away this place makes you feel like you've been invited into a Korean Family home for dinner. The gentleman who was running things was so kind & warm, me and my girlfriend were immediately excited to try out some authentic Korean food. The Soju Cocktail was lovely, and the Wings were absolutely amazing on so many levels (and I've tried many), and the ramen was absolutely exceptional both visually and in taste. We will definitely be here almost every time we're in Brighton now. 10/10.

Went here last night. Excellent food, amazing chicken wings. I had a pork and rice dish and that was so tasty. My son had a spicy ramen dish and loved it. Lovely staff too. Will definitely be back!

The food was DIVINE! Our first time in a Korean restaurant and this place has definitely given us the bug for more. Big portions and excellent value for money. Great music and atmosphere and dog friendly inside and outside which was a massive bonus. Service was brilliant and the guy who served us was so friendly, helpful and fun. Honestly cannot fault the place and will definitely be back next time we visit Brighton.

Erm, a bit strange, turned up at midday (1 hour after opening time) and restaurant had chairs up and guy still cleaning. Should’ve taken that as a sign. Ordered ramen, and as others commented, fairly bland soup. Noodles good and toppings tasty. Maybe this place is better when they’re properly open.

It was OK. Not the best korean food. Update : The reason why I gave 3 stars for food because the bulgogi rice is too oily, I have to throw half of them away. Service and atmosphere is 3 stars because the girl who serve us was not really friendly and she doesn't have a good knowledge of the menu. Lastly, the takeaway packaging is not very nice. That's something probably you can improve by using aluminium foil box or thicker box. It's just my opinion. Thank you.

Today I decided to finally come and try Better Day after many months of just passing by. And I'm glad I did because the food was not only very affordable, but also very tasty! I left the restaurant wondering why I didn't try it before!? 😅 The flavours gave me a very "homely" or "comfort" feeling, and the portions were quite generous! I ordered two of their most popular dishes (the Popcorn Chicken and Kimchi Ramen) and they were really good! Can't wait to come again with friends and try more from their menu!

The food is lovely and tasty but they could probably work on the ambience inside the restaurant. Playing a little bit of music would help. I’ll return for the food!

Terrible experience. Staff member was so useless I started to wonder if she was stoned. Took a good half an hour to take our order - it wasn’t busy. Had to ask multiple times for drinks whilst she just stared at her phone. Chicken was okay but rice was so overcooked that it kind of resembled rice pudding, sludgy and flavourless. The egg was undercooked too instead of the crispy kind of egg you expect over the rice. Not normally one to leave a bad review but in this economy, everyone being so skint - honestly, spend your money elsewhere.

Run, don’t walk!! We found @betterdaybrighton tonight purely by chance & we are both overjoyed that we did! ❤️ The food is next-level good & one of the tastiest meals we’ve ever ever had! Fantastic & very knowledgeable server & very reasonably priced. Honestly, this is a must-try for anyone who loves Korean food (well, any Asian food!!). It's legit Korean Restaurant 👏 The best crispy kimchi pancake I’ve ever had in the UK.

Visited here for the first time the other day and I've been meaning to go for ages. I went with my boyfriend and it was his first time at a Korean restaurant, we had tteokbokki and tofu kimchi ramen, and shared a milkis (student budget lol) The food was perfect, great spice level and cooked wonderfully. The eggs were perfectly gooey. And it came to around £26, not bad at all. And the service was great. We will be coming again!

Went here the other week with my friends as a farewell as I am moving away. We booked seats as this place always seems busy. Got to our table and every 2 minutes were asked to order. Once we had gone through the menu and ordered our first dish came up 40 minutes later, shortly followed by the next and a side. The last meal took a further 40 minutes to get to us. By the time we all had a meal the first 2 obviously would've been cold.we were continuously told that our food was "just coming" throughout the whole almost hour and a half we were waiting for. Our final side arrived and it wasn't the right one! We were offered cocktails on the house. But it wasn't a pleasant experience and won't be returning. Additionally toilets are down a really steep set of stairs and felt eerie and run-down, you had to pass by the kicthen on thw way to the toilet and the kitchen staff whistled at my friend as she passed. Obviously making her uncomfortable. Although our mains were all good and admittedly quite tasty the rest of it just wasn't nice. Kimchi pancake was soggy. And people who arrived after us got the same meal before us. Disappointing.
