I was so lucky to find this amazing little cafe while out for a walk, the variety of food and drinks are phenomenal for such a tiny place, extremely convenient

The reviews here don't seem representative of what I experienced. There were no table numbers, apparently no linking of orders to tables, and a lot of confusion from the staff about what was or was not on the menu - unsurprisingly my order was forgotten once, then forgotten again. Really a very disorganised place, I was disappointed.

Really lovely café located inside of the park. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great selection of cakes and savoury snacks! Alex made us some really delicious coffees. Would recommend to a friend, will definitely be back!

Excellent cafe, wonderful new menu, lovely atmosphere. Delicious savoury and sweet food. Love their cakes and cooked food, breakfast/brunch type meals. Great drinks selection too. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Nice place and staff, but was disappointed with the. Breakfast. Plates where very cold, so was the breakfast. Ingredients was average, and the cheapest brown sauce then could buy, surely at £15 a pop with coffee you could stretch to some HP and Heinz. Hope this feedback helps

Mediocre overpriced drinks served by people who clearly didn’t want to be there

I love this place. So beautiful to watch people in the garden. The food is old fashioned but none the worse for it. A good mug of tea and cakes are great. I'll often have lunch here & soak up the calm atmosphere or evesdrop on others conversations. 😄

Phenomenal! Had a great time here with an astonishing veggie breakfast: Perfect composition, very much enjoyed the mushrooms, the perfectly cooked (and wonderful garlicky) spinach and the excellent seasoned tomatoes. A bargain as well! All in all a wonderful experience with warmhearted and quick staff in an inspiring atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

Wonderful café in the heart of our community

The coffee was good, the food took forever & it was only a sandwich and not that good, whilst the loo could do with a decent clean. Not too impressed this visit to be honest.

Pricey, but a nice little place. Some of the clientele are a hard work, so it’s hard to enjoy the place in peace. Good for ice creams in summer and cuppa in winter. Not all bad.

Hidden gem in St Ann's. great homemade cakes and frittata - good selection of hot sandwiches and kid friendly food and snacks. My 4yr old thinks they serve the best chips in Brighton! Lovely service and spacious inside.

Lovely Cafe but doesn't do much for gluten free dietary needs. Really wish they would as most people can eat gluten free cakes and meals.

I really enjoyed my meal, Duck Cassoulet, and the Lamb Roast very good, the Beef Stroganoff was quite tough. I’m keen to return, just because it’s different.

Surprised and pleased. Gave us what we wanted as we wanted it. With a smile. Prices were as expected and reasonable I know how hard this industry is. Great experience and the avocado toast was amazing. Keep up the great work.

The cup I got my coffee served in was dirty with coffee stains down the side and the place was pretty grim it seems to have gone downhill

Great little park cafe , fantastic coffee and lots of seating , great selection of pastries and cakes , priced on the high side for a park cafe .Shame the toilets are now closed making this venue less appealing.

Beautiful place. Absolutely delicious, fresh, homemade food. Hard to find such real, quality food. Amazing selection of quiches and cakes. Beautiful salads with really good dressings.

Haven't been here in years..almost fell over at the prices of the food. £3.80 (!) for a small sausage roll and £5 for a sandwich, come on these are hard times so help your locals out. If you are charging these prices then don't skimp with cheap Aldi tomato and brown sauce - that is a cafe no no! Note to owner. Your plastic chairs legs flex so much that they feel they could collapse. They feel very cheap and IKEA. Make small improvements and make food a little more affordable please.

My previous review gave it poor for coffee but last time I was there it has improved greatly. Could be person making it, could be the coffee...either way it was really good.

The main appeal of the cafe is the location, it’s a great place to hide when it starts to rain or to get ice cream on a sunny day. The coffee is ok. However they don’t have many vegan options at all so need to improve on this!

Very welcoming, also pets are allowed in so a big plus. I had two cappuccinos and cheesy chips!! My family and friends love it in there. I will go in and have a yummy breakfast soon. Nice staff. Yummy food.

The food is amazing and the staff are lovely. Brownies are amazing and all the other cakes look good too. Would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area for a coffee.

It is a lovely cafe however the prices are astronomical. 3.50 for a small slice of rocky road?! I am a local and avoid it. How they justify the prices i have no idea, its almost like they guess.

Pleasant Cafe in a lovely park - that's obviously it's selling point especially on a sunny day - was wonderful sitting outside this morning. Coffee is good and food is decent though portions are perhaps a little on the small side though tbf given the location and cost of living issues the prices are reasonable. Would definitely return though sadly we don't live nearby it's a definite bonus of the area if you do.

Such a joy to have this lovely cafe in our local park. A real sense of community ,great food and coffee.The food is always good.

Yes it's just about OK, asked for a coffee with a small amount of milk came light brown so my request didn't get passed to the staff producing same. Tea was the usual Tea bag in a cup ! Think could do much better. On the plus side the cakes were good. Drinks 4/10 Cakes 8/10

It takes quite a talent to mess up an order for a cup of tea twice. The place is also quite noisy.

Went there during a visit in Brighton and loved the beautiful aesthetics. The menu has lots of tasty food and nice staff. Would recommend!

I visited this cafe for the first time since lockdown March 2020. We highly rated the food and service on our last visits. Today however was like visiting a completely different cafe. The food was terrible and cost was out of hand. Thin cheap supermarket bread and burnt egg. Never again

let down by something so easy! Along with Good coffee, good cakes and fine pastries, I found probably the worst egg mayo sandwich I've ever had, awful bread and barely enough egg to call it a filling, shame!

I was disappointed with the blt. A lot of mayonaisse but not a lot of bacon. Cheap bread. I feel I paid through the nose there. A watery oat milk capuccino. This place is not the same.

Their avocado on toast with spinach, mushrooms and salmon breakfast is simply delicious.

Bacon was dry and overcooked. Eggs were forgotten and supplied on separate plate. Bagel was bland again with leathery bacon. Took ages, definitely going down hill.

Really lovely little cafe. Proper haven in the middle of bustling Hove. We had 2 yummy salads that cost about £9 each. Mine was halloumi, tomato, roasted vegetable and pesto with mixed leaves and my partner had mozzarella, tomato and bacon with mixed leaves. Took a cheeky couple of cakes home for dessert... they were winking at us! Lots of veggie and vegan options too.

We visited twice over the last bank holiday-the second time because we liked it so much. The glorious weather contributed to our enjoyment.The staff were great and the food well presented. I was suprised how quiet it was considering the bank holiday. It was a lovely peaceful start to the day and so much cheaper than nearer to the sea front.

In the centre of St Ann Wells park, a good place for a cup of tea while chasing squirrels (the dog, not me).

Don’t be fooled. It looks nothing like the above pictures. Drab and overpriced. Yes the cakes are delicious. But other cafes also serve delicious cakes and in more comfortable, pleasing to the eye surroundings.

Great setting. Good food and very attentive service at the counter. Only complaint was that the espresso was a mini americano. Otherwise well worth the visit

Went the cafe last week with my daughter and grandson we took our sauge rolls out side also a glass of wine each ..a seagull swooped down and took ssauge roll ...a very rude member of staff replied ..we should have warned you ,my reply was yes !her reply was "it is a park " As seagulls were very near my grandson who is only 6 weeks ,a simple warning that seagulls may take ur food if eating out side .Not sure of the person name ..but had short ginger hair and was extremely abrupt had to get the baby tent down we scrambled inside we ended up having half each of remaining one

My daughter had her wedding reception here and what can I say it was perfection!!Natalie and her team were incredible. From the planning stage right up to the night and even helping us clear up the day after. The place was transformed into the most amazing and beautiful dining area for our 80 guests, every detail was thought of. She had allowed us to do some of our own decorations in the cafe and outside in the gardens,but the tables were laid so perfectly, it was like a big Italian wedding which is how we wanted it to feel.The food was sublime, Natalie catered for everyone including vegetarians and vegans. The jerk chicken was totally authentic, cooked on a drum BBQafter we had eaten, the tables were quickly cleared away and the room was again transformed into a dance area. The wine and prosecco were lovely and all this I would say for a very reasonable price, considering how much work was needed.Thank you Natalie and all your helpers for a really perfect wedding!

Great cafe. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Food is lovely but the sausages rolls are the best ive ever had. My partner and I get one every sunday morning while walking the dog. Lovely park to walk the dog or just sit outside at the cafe.

This is a great location in the middle of our favourite park. It serves slightly overpriced 'park food' of varying quality. The staff are equally as varied. Some friendly and helpful, others surly. There is lots of dirty furniture including horrible old leather sofas left outside! Overall it is average to below average and I always think it is such a shame as it could be amazing given the position.

Try the sausage rolls. Seriously.

I really like Garden Cafe, it serves a purpose and does some genuinely nice stuff. Situated in the centre of St Ann's Well it is a haven and oasis for parents and children. The food is typically Hove-y so nice with plenty of veggie and GF stuff. They probably do oat milk as well, I dunno. It's fairly high class foodie for a cafe, your egg on toast will be in sourdough for example whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you. The hot chocolate is well nice as is the tuna melt thing not cheap but nice. Keep in mind the place is extremely child and baby friendly, I think it's really nice and gives the place more atmosphere and homely feeling but be prepared to expect children in there. They're also very welcoming to breastfeeding mums. Equally the staff are always perfect, proper lovely and chatty.

Travelled down from Cumbria for a family funeral & wanted to make sure we had a place that could seat us all together easily, along with 90 year old Mum! Called a few days ahead and staff were happy to organise a table for us and could not have been more helpful and friendly with all our orders. Food was all great and we were very happy to have found this friendly spot. Thank you.

Pricey and not great if you want peace and quiet. Not a tremendous amount of variety from their menu. Targeted for the well off families! Tip: eat before you go!

We hired Garden Party Catering & Events for our recent garden party wedding.Natalie was so helpful with our menu and Juliette and the staff on the day, we're just fantastic!! We were so happy with the service, they were so polite, friendly and happy!! We had many different types of dietary needs for our guests to cater for and we received so many compliments for the food! We are Vegan and we were very well catered for, as were the vegetarians and meat eaters!! ... The cakes were all so nice and we even had vegan cakes supplied! I would highly recommend your service and thank you all so much for making our day so lovely!!
