The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

We were a party of three. Got a friend staying over and we wanted to go somewhere local and walk-able and with a dog also in tow. The one plus point is they are happy with dogs in the establishment. Tried this gaff before and not been impressed, especially with the food side. The beer, best not go there. If you don't drink lager, good luck with the one and only cask ale in sight. A Harvey's Best of questionable condition and quality. Over to the food. Standard pub grub fare you see anywhere. Hence starts the fiasco of ordering the food. Initial order was for 2 chicken pies, and one butter? chicken burger. This order was taken and promptly cancelled as they had "run out of these chicken pies- sorry". Ok, we said, lets go for one portion of fish and chips and 2 potions of chicken burgers. Minutes later an apologetic barmaid comes to the table we are at and says the last fish and chips portion has sold!. This was re-selected as sausage and mash and at last the order was processed! Food, arrived a few minutes later but only 2 potions. The second butter chicken burger meal was mysteriously missing. "with you soon was the stock comment". Twenty minutes later still no third meal. After chasing, it did actually arrive. We all ate it but were not impressed with the quality of the meals. Now we come to the bill. The fish and chips was still on the charge and was more expensive than the bangers and mash replacing it. This was queried but little was altered on the bill itself, but we were given a £1.20 something cash refund. By now, we had lost the will to live and couldn't wait to get out and go home. We are not passing customers, been in that pub since 1986 but on this showing, never again!

The staff here are fabulous! So welcoming! The food, lunchtime only, is fresh and very much worth trying. The ham is fresh off the bone, the mixed ploughman’s is very fresh and the sandwiches are excellent with crisps and fresh salad. Live music/quiz on a Tuesday is great fun. We’ve been using this pub for years and it’s consistent. It’s what my husband calls a proper pub

A good pub with lots of outdoor seating and sea views. Found the drinks are good, not silly prices, nice people working here and great music 🎶

Came for lunch after a beautiful walk around Leith Hill. I had the roast lamb, my friend had a rack of ribs, both dishes were really tasty, presented well, piping hot and we were both really impressed.Staff were welcoming and friendly, it’s a great local Pub, that deserves more visitors, will definitely be back.

Having been let down by an online hamper order as a Christmas gift for our lovely neighbours, we had no choice but to try to recreate the Italian delicacies hamper ourselves. We searched online and saw that Waitrose had exactly all the things we were looking for. We've never shopped at Waitrose before but now on Christmas Eve, we expected the place to be a zoo with people pushing and shoving and grabbing everything off the shelves in a last-minute panic before Christmas. This was not the case. Yes, the store was very busy but everyone was so helpful. All of the staff we approached were very kind and even smiled, despite the fact that they were very busy trying to keep shelves stocked. We even mistook a delivery driver for an actual store employee and even he tried to help us find what we were looking for. One woman even gave us a box and suggested how we might decorate and fill it as a gift hamper. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience for us, considering the panic we were in, trying to put together a food gift on Christmas Eve. We were very impressed by the quality of goods on offer at Waitrose and our neighbours were thrilled by the gift. We will defintely shop at this store again!

We've had a number of meals here and it's our preferred stop when we're out walking. Yesterday only spolit by them having run out of pie!

Ordered food and drinks off the app 5 to 10 minutes later a staff member comes over and says they are out of the food I ordered, was I able to pick something else before I could say what I wanted they walked off and was standing at the bar chatting. I went up to the bar and stood there for 5 minutes while 2 staff members were having a chinwag no qué at the bar just me standing there waiting to change my meal as they didn't have it. Then I said what I would like instead But still the 2 staff members kept chatting within themselves while trying to serve me and then expected me to pay a pound more for a different meal. Staff there need better customer service training as they are very rude

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had 2 mouthfuls of! Cold toast, 1 mushroom, dry bacon and ran out of pre-made poached eggs so had to have fried 🤢

Unfortunatley very grumpy staff. Was told... It is a pub.... Why would you order coffee. It was 11am....and we had just got off the train after a 2hr journey with a 81yr old. Started our day very negatively.

Nice pub with outside space, good atmosphere, introduced it to my son, now he comes in here too!

A large Wetherspoons pub with plenty of seating and plenty of drink/food options. The staff are always friendly and there is a comfortable atmosphere within.
