The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

Whilst waiting in the queue I had the unpleasant experience of listening to an elderly woman complaining to the staff. Turns out she’d accepted a hot chocolate in a paper cup as there were no glasses available. So what was the complaint you ask? Well, the woman (a self proclaimed local and regular - a point she made several times) had finished her hot chocolate and 10 minutes later decided the paper cup hadn’t been acceptable after all. The staff, all young girls, were trying to move heaven and earth to appease this Karen. Refund - not good enough. Another drink - not good enough. Apologies - still not good enough. Like a lion teasing its prey the woman sensed weakness and increased her tirade. I’m sorry to say that it was at this point I couldn’t refrain from stepping in. I won’t bore you with the detail but I certainly deflected the heat from the staff. At my age I should know you can’t argue with an idiot. So the next time you’re in Costa Emsworth on a busy day bear in mind the staff are young, understaffed and getting verbally abused by righteous locals with nothing better to do than make young girls cry. The coffee was lovely. The clientele not so much.

Coffee shop located inside Tescos. Seems to suffer problems with its dishwasher they have an official sign printed to state it’s out of order. Staff seemed more interested in preventing people sitting down from 1 O’clock on a Sunday. Did have the misfortune to go there for a coffee once and find due to a problem with their machine no coffee was available. Shame I never knew before my 2 mile walk to get there.

Lovely coffee shop with great view of the Dorking high-street. I regularly get drinks here from salted caramel frappes to English teas! Very family friendly as there’s a lift for push chairs/ wheel chairs so is easily accessible) with dogs welcome too. Staff are extremely friendly, always welcoming and homely. Easy and safe space to be in and know I’ll always get the service I want/need :) Would recommend!

In the middle of a machine failure and from the look of the equipment, not surprising. Great staff, friendly and chatty but the decor looks won out and not that inviting. Look at Coffee One in Fleet for some ideas

Good cafe with excellent customer service

I had an amazing experience, not with just the coffee only Especially the guy in the front & the female staff members r exceptionally attentive and professional. Even in busy times They handle everything with smile & positive attitude. Will defo be returning again for coffee & to appreciate their hard work :)

Posted as open on website on arrival closed despite welcome board outside. So very dissapointing

Today was my first time visiting The Market Cafe. The staff were very friendly and lovely atmosphere. I had cheese sandwiches and hot chocolate, which were tasty. I loved the cream on top of the hot chocolate. There's a time slot for cooked food. They also do delivery too. Will definitely come back in the future

No vegan options beside a side salad, which for a chain hotel and restaurant is astonishingly poor.

This place is a hidden gem. Good old proper pub/ restaurant. Owners so very friendly , the food amazing. All meat and vegetables are locally sourced.we both had the stake and ale pie which was amazing, the meat was so tender and homemade pastry top class, this came with a dish of veg, consisting of broccoli cauliflower carrots and leeks, all cooked perfectly. It was served with a choice of new potatoes or home made chips, and was also presented with a big jug of homemade gravy. The service was perfect ,genuine kind lovely people. Beautiful village between Northampton and Newport Pagnell. Also dropped by last year for a Sunday dinner which was also fab. So nice to be able to gout out for such fresh wholesome food. We will be back
