Fantastic coffee and excellent customer service! I used to travel frequently from Birmingham to London, and this Saturday I went to St. James Street Costa for coffee. If my memory serves me correctly, the two baristas' names are Sai Kota and Aisel, and they were extremely kind and served me better coffee. I am very impressed with how they handled me. I'm grateful for the wonderful coffee, cheers.

The coffee was great and the lady name SaiKota was mega sweet and polite, super coffee l love costa coffee because she was very nice talking with me she make falt white for me . it was amazing store in Walthamstow stjames street

The coffee was great and the barista (white woman) was mega sweet and polite, but that woman (I'm sure I read her name right. She's Saikota) is something else. (Honestly if I was reviewing the lady at the till I would have chosen -0 stars because customer service isn't there at all!) I was polite and cheerful and I asked which cake I could choose with my birthday reward and that lady at the till said 'scan it. Which do you want?!' Without adding ANYTHING else she packed it up and as a takeaway. So I asked for a Medium mocha to stay in and I was ready to make my contactless payment, she shouted "scan your code!!" .. so I did it followed by a thanks and a smile. She said something and she ran at the back and disappeared. That coffee is £4.10, not exactly cheap and she should at least learn how to make customers feel wanted. Secondly, yes thank you for reminding me to scan the qr code but she came across so nasty and rude. Now, I truly understand this is Walthamstow and not everyone is kind and amazing but if someone (me today) makes an effort to have manners please reciprocate it and put a smile on your face!!!!! (This is the second time I wrote this review somehow my phone decided to delete the first attempt but I truly think this needed to be read to some higher ups because what happened to me is unacceptable!!)

This is a cosy but well laid-out space and the staff are great. I popped in on bank holiday Good Friday and was served by two very cheerful baristas Nina and Nedime.

As you would expect quick food cafe, however no staff present on arrival and waiting for couple minutes to be heard that my friend and I were waiting to be placing our orders.

I have come to this Costa a few times and the girls on the till always have a bad attitude - to be clear, they're rude AF. From the comments below, I can tell I'm not the only one who's treated with such derision and disrespect just for spending my money here... I grew up in Walthamstow and sad to see this kind of behaviour is still being accommodated.

Great customer service! Cozy and warm coffee shop in st James st Today I pop up with my littles and found this Costa coffee branch super well setup and well served! The 2 baristas extremely kind and friendly! Also… great coffee maker skills! I never see a latte art in Costa coffee…. And this was the first time! Well done Guys! Congratulations to the shop 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Firstly i would like to say that the drink was nice. However, the workers are extremely rude, aggressive and negative. While ordering I was well mannered said thank you, please etc. On my costa app I had a reward so I displayed it to the worker at the till, which then shrug her shoulders and said i don't know what this is and did not intend to help me out or even ask a manager. I explained to her that it is a reward. I was then told to pay as I redeemed the rewards. Whilst making my drink the worker was being rude and unpleasant. So i asked for a manager, which then she replied as there is no manager in and laughed at me while speaking. I was not satisfied with the customer service nor the atmosphere in this store. Dont go to this Costa if you will like quality service and a space to enjoy. I will not be going back to this Costa again. Really upset about this interaction. Clearly shown that I am not the only person going through this bad experience. Therefore I would like an investigation on this matter. The lady always has eyeliner on, her hair is light brown and is tied up. I can also come, as I live very close, to let you know which worker this is.

The food was ok, but the staff not very welcoming.

The standard costa experience - helpful staff, quick service and the standard costa prices. The place was clean and accessible and not too busy in late afternoons on a weekday. Didn’t give a 5, as the coffee was over pressed and tasted slightly burnt, but otherwise good.

Very rude people, they open never in time never, and if you ask them why, the answer is get out go somewhere else. Menagment to see this should check morning openings time to understand.

A lady name Netty she is very helpful and attentive her customer service are super .. she should be Team leader .every Monday and Tuesday morning her smile throughout early morning make us very welcome.

Was very disappointed went with my son to get him hot chocolate. Girl staff wearing artificial flowers ring in her neck served us with a very broken face .was not welcoming at all. She was serving us like she is our boss. I gave order and stand next to the counter waiting for my hot chocolate. However she made hot chocolate and left on counter without telling me this is your chocolate so I can grab and go .I was not sure if this cup is mine or someone else . Because no one told me this is your hot chocolate. When I ask about my hot chocolate then she replied with broken face yes its hot chocolate. Then I said you should call customer and hand over the order. Rather than left on counter with out call the customer. Not going there again.👎👎👎 I love Costa but any other branch.

I’m sorry to say the worst Vanilla Latte I have had; Luke warm, weak and tasteless. After a long journey for the ferry it was a disappointment.

Staff name Nina Kostadinova always deliver very bad customer service, this time experience was the worst. Today I purchase before 11am 1 soy latte, 1 large soy mocha, sausage bap and 1 egg & mushroom bap. I ask staff with coffee bap it's £2.50 each she replied yes, I ask for a receipt to double check receipt only show 1 bap £2.50 I request if I can change small latte to large to have that breakfast offer she replied no payment already gone through till, so I request a refund on 1 bap £3.95 she was not happy. Then she burnt my sausage bap, I complained about that it's was rock hard even a customer next to me even said it burnt, I ask for a replacement. She said to me "you always have problem" her customer service is getting worse, I'm a regular customer in that store everyone is so helpful except of this staff name "Nina Kostadinova" From today 31st May 2023 onwards I refuse her to service me even more I will not recommend her customer service in that store. Seems like I'm not the only one complaining about staffs in this branch, I'm sure all this bad reviews might be the same staff. This staff Nina Kostadinova needs investigation since she started there I always have bad experience with her customer service.

Was with my mate on a wheel.chair and he wanted in a cup and would not give a cup for outside on the table as it is counted as takeaway will bot return make disabled tables would be suggested

Worse customer service Ever. Went there for lunch as my favourite café nearby was really busy but they are really empty. 3 customers in front were waiting but the 2 girls who worked there absolutely ignored us and busy with delivery. We wait about 15 mins and then the lady in front started to complaint as they shouldn't really prioritise delivery on a Saturday afternoon, the girl who worked at the till then apologised loudly in a way she is going to kill everyone, she definitely needs to learn how to be apologetic or leave the job if she is so unhappy. And then I tried to order a M&S soup and a coffee as on diet, the girl on the till first surprised and questioned me 'a soup'? and asked me 'what do you mean a soup?', I then appointed the menu says I believe you offer M&S soup, and then she told me to find it in the shelf which I couldn't, and then when I back to her, she then told me they do not offer soup at all. Absolutely waste my time. It make sense they are so empty while other cafes absolutely packed. Will never go back again as there are so many other choices around. The customer service at the costa near Walthamstow Central station is far more better than them. Management time should really be careful about the staff in this, don't think it will last long.

Very unprofessional because the shift leader (Diana) was shouting at her colleague infront of customers instead if talking to her privately and nicely.

I am a regular customer and today I was treated horribly, because of the way I look, the woman kept me waiting longer than necessary, she was not nice to look at herself. I am fed up with the way I am treated, I will make this a public matter. I wouldn't mind, but the woamn serving me was no great beauty.

Went to costa on James street today on a rare break from work and the person serving was so unhelpful around lunchtime! Miserable, no thank you just abrupt and dismissive! Even still I thanked her and cleared up the table. Might need some customer service training!

I went for coffee this morning with my friend , i was very dis pointed with service , the staff very rude , impolite and unprofessional . I am very surprised by the behaviour of this employee toward the customers if she not happy with job is better for her to resign rather than arguing with customers .

I decided to sit in your James street branch to have a coffee and finish some work on my laptop and then have a rest, I entered at 4:35. I had looked online and noted your closing time of 6pm on Saturdays. During drinking my coffee at exactly 5pm I was asked to leave as it was closing.Perhaps before ordering the coffee it would have been polite to inform me I only had just over 20 minutes and I would have left. Not acceptable to choose the opening hours,perhaps the staff were trying to get an early cleaning in before going out for the evening. Will not be visiting again when its make up your own closing times.

Have got double standards..sometimes you get a nice coffee in a cup to sit and enjoy and other times you tell them you drinking in and they just serve you in a take away cup..it's like they just want to wash all their dishes to close up..it's sad really as it's a nice shop

I wouldn’t rate even 1 star for this Costa if I could, very disappointed with the timing, it looks like a private business in terms of opening and closing. Went at 17:00 sharp today Monday the 20.12.21 to get a hot drink as usual, they were already closed which is unusual and this happening few times in past, it will good to update your opening and closing times on your website in order to update your regular customers rather then treating us unwelcome, very sad to see our local Costa Coffee unvalued their customers. Hi there all I can say about this coffee the personnel here is very rood and I never have the bad behaviour like I had today ,the person who been very rood her name was Nina she didn’t get the right order and been very vulnerable person and speaking not good English and also she doesn’t understand what I have order and she did treat me as I don’t know what I order ,I really feel very bad for my self in front of the other people Thanks

Very very very rood personel especially Nina she was very unreasonable and un respect person i ever met in Costa since i have been to costa’s coffee ever Very disrespectful and vulnerable to all Cusmtomers for the time i have been sitting on this costa I did ask for mint tea and she did english tea istead and when i asked her pleas i did order mint tea not the english tea she said to me you are talking so strange,and her english is not to the level to speak with the customer at all

Awful service! For a coffee you need to wait at least 30 minutes all the time! It is either just one person or when there are 2 of them they just chat making you wait for not reason.

I brought a large drink and nibble at 1750 (expecting it to be open till 1900 as it says on the door), and sat down. Only the be told it was closing after about 5 mins. Not a great service. Please update your sign, or at least inform people when purchasing!

I have been a regular costumers for years at this costa coffee shop, on a daily bases. Today i encountered very rude unhelpuf staff called Diana. After I corrected her that I did not order a small cappuccino and late instead I ordered medium as always, Diana throw the cup with an attitude away and rudely tried to convince me that Iwas wrong and did order small. She showed appealing customer service and I'm extremely unsatisfied. Just for an information, she served another unhappy customer before me who he left the shop unhappy because tha same staff Diana made wrong hot drink. Its helpful to mention that the other female staff tried to correct her how her mistakes but Diana was rude to her also.

Poor customer service - I waited thinking they were busy however they were actually chatting to each other. No greeting and unwelcoming. I ordered espresso and as always Costa's espresso is just terrible.

Poor customer service baristas are very rude and disrespectful I will wait there 5 minutes for them to serve me even when the store is empty and there’s no customers waiting. They talk while looking at you and laugh. Health and safety checks need be measured especially with Covid 19. I witnessed the Barista cleaned the tables and with the same cloth she cleaned the milk frother. I my self have worked in coffee shop over 10 years and I no you need to have a separate cloth to use only for the milk frother I’m really disappointed before Costa used to hire amazing barista but in this store especially I don’t see that quality in this store. Costa really needs to hire professional baristas in this store. It seems like Costa don’t care about customer service anymore.

I went to this place few times as Costa coffee its my favourite, the manager called mohamed he’s amazing and so friendly with customers, you will never see him not smiling or happy, but the girls working at this place are bit rude, it looks like they will give you the drink for free. My advice to the girl with the black hair is to learn some good manner before dealing with customers to keep the place wonderful. Accept of that issue not complain about the hygiene the place is very clean and tidy. Well done 👍

I know Costa Coffee for about 18 years and this its a place to avoid. The manager allows some people to keep their bicycles indoors and others not. There’s the habit here to discuss with the costumers instead of listening and sort problems. I saw that happening with other costumers and it happened to me a few days ago. For some reason I don’t fully understand Why the tables have been dirty and full of trays and if you ask for a cloth to clean the table you want sit on, the baristas react in a very rude manner, Diana Pinto did that a few days and the manager instead of listening what happen it goes immediately against the costumer. When he realises is mistaken, he disappears without apologising. I am afraid its not my problem the stress and life of a barista: I pay for s service and would like it to be dome properly and with respect. Sometimes i think its a racial thing.

Regular customer to this Costa. Disappointed today, as you walked in there was 11 tables not cleared but 3 staff in the office. While there it became busy but only 2 staff worked, the other member, who knows.

Coffee is as good as in any other Costa branch. My main concern was the seating area. All tables were taken and I had to seat with someone else. It's not a big space therefore seats are taken very quick.

This Costa Coffee is in the heart of the shopping Centre with lots of parking, seating inside and outside, in a sun trap. It is very clean and tidy and the Staff are friendly and helpful.

多佛市中心呢度冇乜食肆，想食早午餐就唯有食咖啡店嘅嘢食，店入面有啲輕食例如三文治、細意粉等等，午餐時間仲可以夾薯片同樽裝飲品做餐，店員會幫手整返熱個輕食，味道都幾好

I’m usually not a fan of coffee chains but this Costa is exceptional. The flat white there is steadily good throughout the year, I never have a bad experience unlike in other Costas around London. I can say this is the best Costa I have been to in the UK. The staff are also incredibly friendly and nice. I hope this branch gets recognition from the head office for the brilliant job they do.

Utterly, utterly disappointed. Traveled 20 minutes just for this costa, first one after Christmas! Wanted to treat my mum with a voucher I received after a busy day at work. Here our story begins. Costa shuts at 8 everyday except Weekend, and regularly go every week so know this for a fact. Turn up just before 7, staff are cleaning up, which I get being late and no customers in, I’ll give them that. But low and behold the door was locked. Tried to push and pull just in case I read the sign wrong, but no luck for me. Looked in the door and windows and staff just shook their heads at me in despair, like I wasn’t meant to turn up or be disappointed they were shut. So off I pop back into my car without my daily Costa, and make the 20 minute journey back home! Way to ruin the Christmas spirit St James’ Costa.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Went out of their way to offer samples of seasonal flavours and look up suitability for vegans.

Now Costa is the only place I go for coffee.... I agree with anyone who talks about the enthusiasm of staff here. Miserable faces BUT I have no issues with them in terms of how they make my vanilla latte lol This time I got my usual vanilla latte but ordered a lemon loaf cake slice and it was sooooooooooooo good! I never have bad experiences with Costa. It’s like I was born to get great service there. Their miserable faces never bother me tbh. As long as my coffee and food is good I don’t care 😂 otherwise we will have a problem!
