The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South Lakeland North West

A stupendously friendly local watering spot to frequent after showering off in the Ghyl on the descent of a spontaneous weekly hike/Scramble. The eloquent handsome young Christopher is going to be sadly missed, as he starts his tour of the relatively so called New Found Land. But this is life, the best education can only begot by travelling 🧳, and that’s not just an opinion. But based on empirical research from living firstly in Berlin for five years and followed by nearly two decades of life in tropical far north Australia 🌴. Have a great trip Chris 🌏

Awful! We have been here quite a few times to have lunch in the garden. Always been good. Not on our final trip. The food we received was not what we ordered. Seeing as we were the only ones there I found it confusing how they could get it so wrong. We were asked to pay for the meal before we were served it. We complained and said we will go elsewhere as they were so slow. We asked for our money back and we got rude comments muttered under their breath. We will never go back which is ashame as it was once really lovely and the food yummy. Not any more. I've given one star for the carpark chap who was very pleasant.

Fab little cafe. Really friendly staff, especially young man who offered food left over when closing. Coffee great too. Do go.

Just had the roast beef dinner  £18 for delicious seasoned veg, beautiful red cabbage and succulent slices of beef topped off with a yorkie pud. It was superb, and a really great pint of Guinness, Will definitely be back again.

The ban on all mobiles / laptops etc seems a vary bold move. (At least they're accepting cards now; it used to be cash only.)

stayed here for 4 nights really nice welcome young man showed us to room helped up with cases room clean house keepers in every day toping coffee towels etc beds really comfortable residents get 10percent of food and drinks food really good nice hearty breakfast always served with a smile would definatly go back carry on the good work all the team

Update. On visiting today I was disgusted to find the state of the freezers. Clearly haven't been cleaned for weeks or more. Staff just chucking more packs of food on top of the filth. See picture. I would complain direct but it doesn't make a difference. Zainy idea this. But if you need a pharmacist to be present to sell anything at all in the pharmacy, would it not be good plan to employ more than one? I know I know, it's madness. But it would probably stop people in pain having to hang around while the only one you've got has their lunch. Just another good idea that Asda will ignore or come up with an excuse for. I predict the former

Very unwelcoming bar with pedantic bar staff. We attended on New Year’s Day and the bar staff asked our son/girlfriend (both 26) for their ID, no problem with that but then asked them again 4/5 times every time they went to the bar, ridiculous customer service. When asked why, after 2/3 times, they said they could be buying drink for someone else, even though we, a family of four, were clearly within sight of the bar.

A nice atmosphere with a decent pint and friendly staff. Pub needs a refurb but the he service and drink made it worthwhile and we will visit again. Great location.

In desperate need of a sit down, & a cold drink, on a hot day, I called in here for a milk shake. I`ll be honest, I never use any Costa outlets, I always try to use independent outlets, but this was handy, & as I said, & needed a drink. You wouldn`t think a milk shake could be spoiled, would you? Well this place certainly can, It was supposed to be strawberry, but it was basically coloured milk. So sadly Costa lived up to my expectations, they have no idea how to serve a proper drink. Avoid this terrible place.

Poor, stopped at McDonald’s - slow and cold as per usual, toilets were not that clean. If you must you must, be wouldn’t recommend.

A lovely warm and efficient welcome from the staff on duty.Alan the chef deserves a special mention for his customer service, smart appearance and helpfulness regarding the menu. We all enjoyed a first class meal and drinks in the nice surroundings and will be back again soon. Thank you to everyone on duty.

I’m talking about Booths cafe NOT the actual store. Chips were crispy as chicken. Mayo was just right. Sausage was juicy. And lovely friendly gaming girl is nice:)

Had to wait ages to get served and only wanted a coffee. Eventually paid but coffee machine run out. Advised of this and told to wait. Took ages and just asked for a refund. Awful place and staff that not helpful
