Hopeless, fancied a a bacon and egg bun but "no we can do the bacon but not the egg it's part of the breakfast menu". So odd! Waited 20 mins for the drink and longer for the bun. Table dirty, with dirty crockery,cleared it myself asked if someone could clean the table but know one came. This place never seems to improve.

Review: Booths Store Cafe, Ulverston (Visited on 13th July 2024, 3:48 PM) I recently visited the Booths store in Ulverston while on holiday in the Lake District, and unfortunately, my experience at the cafe was quite disappointing. Firstly, I ordered an iced latte (£3.40) and a millionaire cookie (£3.00). The menu, which was already on the table, was ripped and falling apart, which is not a great first impression. I also ordered a pot of tea for my nan and grandad, specifically asking for one teapot with two cups. Despite clearly stating this twice, I was served with two teapots and two cups. To add to the frustration, the couple behind me received exactly what I had requested one teapot with two cups yet were charged correctly. When I went back to get my receipt, it confirmed that I had been charged twice for the tea. This mistake was both frustrating and unnecessary. The cafe itself was extremely dirty, which was surprising given that we visited hours before closing. My grandparents had to clean the table themselves as it was a mess, and the staff walked past without offering any help. There were several staff members on shift, but none seemed to be concerned with cleaning the area. This was especially disappointing considering it was not busy at all; I would guess there were only three or four other groups in the cafe at the same time. This starkly contrasted with the main store, which was nice, clean, and had friendly staff. We did our shopping and were pleased with the main store, but the cafe did not meet the same standards at all. I almost never complain, but my visit with my grandparents and girlfriend was so poor that I felt compelled to share my experience. The only positive note was that my girlfriend enjoyed her iced coffee. During my experience I was served by Kate. I can provide more evidence of my experience. We decided to stop and have a drink after shopping. As I was hungry I decided to order from the menu. It is a limited menu. However the focaccia with peppers, avocado and hummus was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed it. My Husband had a fruit scone and said that was tasty too. We got a table straightaway and service was friendly. Would go there again

Don’t ask to replace an item! Ordered x 3 breakfasts but wanted to replace black pudding for something else the guy serving was going to help, then someone shouted across “we cannot substitute items” if I wasn’t with a customer I would have simply left Took for ages and then wasn’t anything special, lots of great local options, which I would try in the future Great new policy, that will stop customers visiting and spending their hard earned money

Horrible cooked breakfast. Everything was cooked the bare minimum. No hint of any crispiness to the bacon, sausage was still pink - I'm not sure it was safe, mushroom was raw. Very unappetizing. I couldn't eat it.

I use Booths everyday and get better service than most shops mainly centered around quality, choice and wide aisles to keep a distance. Can’t say this for tesco and M&S M&S a very good in every other aspect. Booths cafe is badly run though.

Cafe closed so they have instorehot food counter, very good value at £3 for hot bun and coffee to take away.BUT on several occasions two different females serving and NOT wearing masks.Okay badges are saying they're exempt but when they preparing your food drinks whatever us this acceptable?Queried this with a Supervisor who seemed to think I was a ten year old and explained some people do not need to wear masks.Shall not frequent again.

Visitamos el café ayer y esperamos al menos 10 minutos para sentarnos. El personal parecía ignorarnos. Después de 10 minutos, un miembro del personal vino a sentarnos. Pedimos nuestra comida y cuando llegó no había cubiertos ni azúcar con el café. Tuvimos que preguntarle qué no debería hacer. La comida estuvo bien. Todavía frío en el medio. Hemos estado de vacaciones en familia en el área de Ulverston. Llamamos a Booths el 27 de agosto para un almuerzo ligero en la cafetería. El servicio fue pésimo. Uno de los miembros del personal que finalmente nos recibió en la entrada claramente tenía su mente en otras cosas. Comenzó a tomar el pedido de bebidas, luego se fue diciendo que volvería pero no lo hizo. Cuando pregunté después de un intervalo de tiempo, nos dijeron que teníamos que pedir en el mostrador. Luego, la comida y las bebidas tardaron años en llegar. Había al menos 5 empleados presentes, pero no pasó nada rápidamente. Deducimos que es un problema de gestión. Todo está flojo, nadie parece seguro de su papel, ¿resultado? Pobre de todo.

En Ulverston con nuestra hija y nieta, necesitábamos un almuerzo tardío. Habiendo tenido una mala experiencia aquí hace algún tiempo, estaba bastante preocupado, pero esta vez fue una gran mejora. El personal era amable y servicial, y comimos sándwiches tostados y la comida de los niños. . La comida estaba bien, el único problema era que las opciones de jugo para la comida de los niños se habían agotado probablemente porque era media semana pero mi nieta estaba contenta con la opción de batido de leche. Recientemente frecuenté Booth Cafe con un cliente y me sorprendió mucho la desaparición de un café potencialmente exitoso. ¡Mi cliente era 'intolerante al queso' pero todo lo que pedí no estaba disponible! ! ! eventualmente pude ordenar una lasaña de carne para mi cliente, ¡tuve que conformarme con la envoltura de margarita! ! !Las mesas no estaban despejadas, no había menús en las mesas, el tablero especial estaba en la esquina trasera del café y no había tablero especial cuando estaba en el mostrador.Tuvimos que esperar de 25 a 30 minutos hasta que obtuvimos nuestra comida y el café estaba casi vacío.¡La disposición del café no era 'apta para discapacitados', que es mi cliente! ! !

We called in for breakfast when we ordered we was told there would be a 15 minute wait ,which was fine we had a long journey ahead and was happy to wait when breakfast came both breakfast were cold the sausage looked raw I took them to the young girl behind the counter she pulled a face and said ok I will change them ,10 mins later breakfast came back still cold except for the beans which must have been in microwave longer I again sent it back and declined a replacement I tried the toast which was so doughy it tasted terrible if you want a nice d cooked breakfast I would avoid booths

Despite the recent revamp (new tables and a cutlery stand on the table), Booths is still unable to serve decent food within a reasonable time frame. Our order was: fish n chips, chips, fish pie and a jacket potato. 35 minutes wait. I’m fairly certain I could have bought my fish pie in the store, taken it home, defrosted it myself, eaten it, washed my plate and gone back to the store for dessert in that time.

If you want breakfast and don’t want to wait until everywhere else opens at 9am, this is a decent alternative. We’ve been a couple of times and it’s generally good value for money. Today though, service was a bit slow and by the time my “poached” eggs arrived, they were absolutely solid, like an egg boiled to death without its shell. Otherwise would have given 5* for what’s essentially just a simple supermarket cafe.

Following a re-vamp of the café, I have visited a couple of times. The surroundings are very nice & much improved. The service is slow and appears to be completely disorganised. Despite the café being relatively quiet, the 30 minute wait for coffee & a tea-cake, seems totally unacceptable. The tables are full of dirty pots and food remains, the cutlery in the baskets isn't clean. The floor needs a good clean, It is so disappointing. I am aware this is a supermarket café, but standards are low and supervision & leadership are lacking. Come on management …..

The cafe may have been revamped and prices increased slightly but you get less for your money than before and it’s not great quality. Had two pieces of cake, they’ve got smaller in size which at £2.50 a pop is a bit of a cheek. Whilst the tea tastes nice, you’ve only enough for one and a half small cups, you used to get about 3 cups out of the old pots. Most cafes also give you a pot of hot water with your loose leaf tea, not here. Whilst the interior is a great improvement. The quality and service sadly is not and some staff do seem pretty fed up working there and have done for some time. Some of the cutlery was dirty and when I arrived, a lot of the tables still had food on them from the previous people and it was slow to be cleared and they weren’t overly busy (and indeed I cleared our table myself). And finally, not happened recently but in the past it has, can management please train all staff in the dangers of placing hot drinks near young children as the risk is they will grab and get scolded if parents not quick enough to realise what the staff are doing.

Parece que su sistema computarizado está creando bastantes clientes descontentos. Tal vez debería deshacerse del sistema computarizado por completo. Qué absolutamente ridículo soportar un sistema comprometido. ¿Realmente necesita una computadora para transmitir un pedido desde hasta 30 pies de distancia a la cocina? Es solo servir el desayuno por el amor de Cristo, así que ¿por qué complicar más las cosas? ¿Son los pedidos de papel demasiado elegantes en su simplicidad? De camino a casa desde Barrow in Furness, a menudo nos detenemos en esta cafetería de Booths. Viene con un poco de coliflor crujiente y brócoli. Al otro lado de la mesa había una papa horneada de tamaño decente (4.50) que aparentemente se hizo bien. Hubo un montículo de cheddar maduro salado y crujiente que, según me han dicho, es el mejor de todo para una torta al horno. Podrían, al ser un poco más rápido, limpiar las mesas, y los loos son funcionales, pero limpios. En general, un almuerzo de supermercado más exclusivo que nuestra comida habitual de Morrisons.

Not sure which got me in the end the Salmonella from the half-cooked egg or the eColi. Whichever it was it was bad! Writing to warn people that the 'pass it on to the cafe team' and 'it won't happen again' responses to other reviews haven't been acted upon. Like other reviewers I went here a decade ago when it was okay. Returning after a long break was shockingly bad. I was first person waiting for breakfast and it still took 35 minutes. Staff will proudly tell you how much of your meal is coming from the freezer and microwave. Nothing was toasted, very little was fried. Everything was served undercooked. Like other visitors I got sick. Not sure if it was the half-cooked egg or from the lady handling money/cleaning tables/touching my food directlyl! (Hi H M- you know who you are - wash your hands!) Run away to one of Ulverston's many other cafes.

The cafe was not full but after we ordered we were told by a po faced lad at the counter that there would be a half hour delay for breakfast with no explanation given. It was 9.45 am when, I would think all that needed doing were breakfasts. After about 10 min the drinks arrived which we attempted to nurse as long as possible as we saw orders taken after us being taken out. At 40 min my wife went to ask about the delay with, again no reason given apart from the po faced type wondering into the kitchen and back. At 50 min i went to the counter to say we could no stay any longer and ask for a refund. a very polite lad this time apologised and gave us our money back. 2 free coffees for a wasted morning is a lousy deal and we shall not be going back.

Although it's not listed on the menu, Booths now has a Gluten Free roll option. It took 3 members of staff to find this out, but they were determined to sort it. Their allergy training seemed better than most cafes! Very caring and concerned. Both the GF Bacon + Egg roll and Avacado on Toast were around £3. Breakfast was made even cheaper with our Booths Cards which allowed each of us half-price on coffee. Our Lattes and Americanos were hot and strong. I hadn't been to Booths Café in years and was delighted to find it even better.

We have just visited this supermarket cafe at 12.05pm, we checked the menu and made our choices, the first five dishes I asked for were not available at the start of dinner service that’s quite unbelievable, the sixth choice I asked for in involved a sixth trip into to the kitchen for her to inquire of it’s availibity and I was told there was only one left, left from where I wonder, yesterday? Been coming for years and recently it has got beyond worse. Lucky if you get you tea in a tea pot. My last visit I got a metal milk jug with no lid and tea bag thrown on tray! A coffee mug and had to go back up and ask for milk. Only visit because it's easy to get to for my weekly catch up with my mum but it's getting beyond a joke now! Fui a ver el lugar antes de que pudiera programar una reunión de negocios. Experiencia muy decepcionante. Pedí sopa de manzana y apio, la orden llegó después de 15 minutos (sopa de bolsa prefabricada), pedí papeles de seda y una joven gorda me dijo: está detrás de ti. OK señora, tomé una cuchara del mismo lugar y no vi nada que pueda llamarse tejido. Luego me paré en el mostrador, sosteniendo la caja vacía, que ella siguió ignorando durante 10 minutos. Finalmente, entró y tomó un paquete, y lo guardó a su lado del mostrador, tomó dos tazones y regresó, los llenó de sopa y entró en la cocina, sabiendo que estaba esperando. Luego regresó, trajo el caldo de la sopa para contrarrestar, los puso en el intento y luego me miró sorprendentemente y me dio pañuelos.

We called into Booths for some shopping on Sunday afternoon and we could not believe how slow the service was, I stood at the counter along with other people waiting for the girls behind the counter attempt to make drinks for people they take customer care to a whole new level i.e. How long does it take to make hot drinks, suggest they send these girls to Costa for training . When we eventually got the coffee in was so hot the drink was totally ruined. The guy in front of me had a coffee that he brought back stone cold, we should have walked out. Impression we got the staff couldn't care less, almost £10 for rubbish drinks and service. AVOID and go to Costa in the town nearby.

This used to be a nice little cafe, but sadly now feels rather run down, with flies buzzing around, including inside the cake display! Very off-hand staff when we visited. Coffee not bad, but our scones weren't fresh and the tuna toastie tasted stale. Very poor value for money. Come on Booths, you can do much better than this.

Today it was quiet in Booths and we wanted to pick up our Loyalty drinks before going on a walk along the canal. The milk jug was empty as well as the milk supplied through the machine. We found a young man nearby to ask for help. I must say he was very obliging and helpful and got it up and running in no time. We were very impressed.

three adults and four kids we went in to have something to eat arrived 2.45 sat down went to order some hot food at 2.50 only to be told we stop serving hot food at 3.00pm pointed out that only ten to three but made no difference so thought ok will have sandwich but only one on display ask them can they do any more answer no . there loss so we went to a restaurant that care about customers. will advise everyone to avoid

Today the shadow and the swan made haste to the Booths cafe ulverston. Feeling especially peckish we pulled up into the disabled parking bay and was greated by lots of happy little customers sat eating lovely hot crumpets and slurping tea through the huge open clear paind front windows. Smiling and chatting away. Unfortunately thats where the tea and hot steaming crumpets ended for the caped crusader as the swan met one of her flock. As i sat in the car and gazed at the customers tooking in waiting with antiapation for the swan to return from her never ending native catch up i opened the window to clear the screen only to reveal table number 2 starting on desert through the slowly evaporating condensatin. As the mist cleared more table 4 lashed the butter on the teacakes and made pleasurable facial gestures as the what seemed to be adequately sized tea cake whent down the hatch. Then it hit me! The aroma of table 1s freshly ground coffee as it wafted through the extraction fan and into the slightly opend window. Where was the Swan. Where i say?. It was all to much. Then movement, was it her i could see next to table 4 but no it was the group of happy smiling customers leaving praising the service of the staff. As i discretely opened the window more to listen in on there thoughts and conversation. YES lucky customer. The shadow risked being caught eaves dropping for you just to get all the gosip on the adequately sized tea cake and hot steaming cappuccinos and they give it the thumbs up. The tall gent and more than adequately sized companion on table 4 smiled and give the thumb's up to the staff confirming my intelligent evaluation of the situation. As they left the party moved swiftly confirming that the said tables must of been spaced apropiotly. so this weeks review is dedicated to the party on table 4 and give them 5 star for assisting the Shadow unwittingly hehehehe and i give the Swan a watch to keep track of time when with said flock. The exterior of the shop front looked clean and well cared for and the lighting good from the car. The view is even greater from the outside the car and the car park could be improved. The electric doors seem to work smoothly and with ease and lots of bins around for the rubish cleverly hidden from the view of the lucky internal customers and reviewers. Tree's and planting was well done and soon in full bloom. Even the dog was happy outdoor as it drank freely at the water bowl curtsy of Booths so 10/10 for animal care to. Well done retailer.

The cafe is more than adequate for a supermarket cafe.Drinks are good and choice of sandwiches and quality fine. Some tables could do with clearing quicker but we would visit again. Not fine dining but does what it says on the tin.

Staff really friendly and efficient. Much improved since our last visit. It was quiet so that could have been a contibuting factor. The set up for ordering and paying never has worked if there are queues. The management does need to address this issue in all their stores.

We arrived here after lunch on new years eve . Spent a small fortune on our celebration for the evening queues were dealt with cheerfully and quickly . Then we entered the restaurant for some respite .We joined the queue behind four others , and waited and waited and waited !!! Our drinks were made and placed where we could see them going cold . Still we waited . Finally at the till after our drinks cakes etc had been handed over we paid and were told "Your food will be half an hour " when l queried this as there was plenty staff wandering around in circles , l was told "You can see how busy we are " er no l can see how disorganised and avid you all are to watch the customer chatter chatter but no service . We retreated to our table to drink our cool drinks eat our stale lemon cake ( isn't there a six hour rule for these ???? ?) To await our main meal , wait , wait. wait For a microwaved product. poor begrudged service yet a high price . NEVER again .

Every Booths store is a magical place. The staff are top notch, the surroundings are wonderful and the free coffee for Card holders is a nice touch. I have knocked off 2 stars because many (not all) of the customers are rude, self centred and arrogant. I hate their customers, I love Booths!

Called in here today. After shopping picked up 2 cups for our free drinks. The machine needed cleaning and we were told we would have to wait. Twenty minutes later we returned and now there was a long queue still waiting for the machine. We had to give up. The lady who set up the 'clean' did not suggest the cafe would fill up the cups. I know you would normally have to buy an item of food if you want to get your free drink from the cafe. In the circumstances customers should feel able to use the cafe facility.

La cena de los niños, salchichas y patatas fritas bien pero casi conjealed frijoles en el plato de microondas - supongo. No hay opción de sopa ya que siempre estaba bien. Went with my partner to get a fish and chips meal to be told they have sold out considering it was 12.20pm and meals start from 12 noon seemed suspicious, anyway we ordered eggs and chips instead after a short while the "Cook" came out with our meals and plonked a couple of plates of disgusting food on our table firstly I noticed HAM on our plates which we never ordered when challenged he pointed out it was taken at the till, I checked my receipt to find they had charged us for ham that we don't eat.

I've been to booths a number of times in the past, it used to be so tastey with a good selection but the past couple of times I've been in, the food hasn't been great, the staff on the other hand are so helpful, friendly and happy, if this rating was based on staff on give a 5* but unfortunately the food standards have gone way down, maybe a new chef? kitchen staff? I'm unsure how it works in there.I had a English breakfast, didn't come with toast had to order that separately, sausage looked fine until I turned it over and it was charcoal, egg had the white gunk on top which makes me feel abit sickly, bacon was really tough and dry, quite hard to swallow to be honest.I'm hoping that these points get noticed and it helps to improve the standard of food it once had.

Expected it to be of a much higher standard? Waited a while to be served,no one in front of us? Then told to wait for our drinks and take them to the table. One cup with no saucer? To then see them take drinks to another table? Ordered 5 Eggs Benedict. First 3 were ok. When the other 2 arrived,they were floating in the sauce. Far too much,had to get a couple of plates to pour it off, to be able to eat it. Wish I had taken a photo to show on here. The toasted cheese sandwich, cheese was tasteless. We would have complained but our nephew had just completed his first duathlon and we needed to get home. Very disappointed.

Dropped by to get an all day breakfast but found they didn't do it and breakfasts had finished being served. We decided to opt for light meals (not much to choose from) and coffees and went ahead to order. I waited 20 minutes until I was served, a lengthy queue had formed. There were very very minimal staff on duty, although an apology was given for the waiting and our drinks were served prior to the meals. We had finished our drinks by the time our meals had arrived, in total an appalling 45 minutes later from ordering. The only good thing was that the meals were hot and fair portions but realistically we were on the verge of complaining, obtaining a refund and leaving to go elsewhere. Rate it a zero but had to put 1/5

I'm currently sat in the cafe having a nice cup of peppermint tea however I would have liked some hot food but told it was a 25mins wait as they were busy. Eerr it's not! Not even half full. Come on Booths get your act together, more staff or more efficient staff

Booths need to address their slow service. It is so frustrating, and it is the same in Kendal. We would have been there forever if we had ordered lunch. We only stopped for coffees and mincepies. Took far longer than we expected. The staff were very friendly and most apologetic.

Queue took forever at 1.30. Ordered Jacket potatoe with cheese. Had drank latte before food arrived. Everyone complaining. One guy waited 20 mins for toast. Jacket was obviously 'nuked' base like a rock. Such a disapointment.

We regularly visit Booths and sometimes visit the cafe. Oh dear, what is happening to the cafe? The one lady at the counter is taking orders, dealing with the payment and making the drinks (not sure that is the most hygienic procedure)?? Drinks can be time-consuming, making various coffees. The queue just grows and grows .....I only usually have a drink and a cake, to save on waiting time for hot food!!I also believe that this cafe needs proper leadership, supervision and some common sense approaches. The tables are frequently stacked with dirty dishes and left over food :( On the plus side - wi-fi is good, and the views out of the windows are lovely. I just wish the management could focus on providing a better service for everyone.

Booths cafe has always suffered from slow service from as long as I can remember but it would seem that recently things have gone from bad to worse here.The strange thing is the company spends so much on advertising its brand, providing free coffees to card holders, etc but then does so little to protect that brand image in its own cafes. The cafe needs some proper management, leadership and hard work from its staff. A strong team, well trained and focussed should be able to turn this place around in no time but it would seem that Booths would rather lose goodwill and therefore customers by failing to deal with the problems here. Do yourself a favour and enjoy one of the fine cafes in Ulverston town centre.

Having begun to use this cafe again after a break of a few months, I am glad to say that I find it much improved. Choices seem to be better and staff seem less overwhelmed. This is a nice place to linger on a rainy day with a very good coffee and a toasted teacake; has great views up to Hoad, too!

Despite writing to the Big Man and outlining all that's wrong wtih Booths Cafe in Ulverston, nothing changes.My recent experience: Three of us for breakfast of tea and toast.Paid for two white toasts, two teas and a hot water. Wanted marmalade or jam for toasts. ONE white toast arrived and a small metal jug with marmalade in as the cafe had run out of same. Charged £1.55. This cafe is part of a SHOP!!!

This is a nice we restaurant in a grocery shop. The food is reasonably priced for those who want a meal without the frills.I found the service a wee bit on the slow side, there was one member of staff taking orders and the payment with another making tea/coffee etc. Both of these staff need to speed up and to remember people don't like waiting. They have tray trolleys for gathering up used crockery etc, staff take these around clearing tables, maybe they should be left to allow people to clear away their own trays. It would maybe help things along as there was in excess of 5 tables with used crockery etc waiting for a member of staff to clear.

High-end supermarket?! I'm sorry but for the price of the food they sell I expect the best. We paid £10 for a Indian takeaway style meal- which is double the price for the same meal in other supermarkets. Hardly any chicken in our curry and we were still hungry after. How can they sell the same brand of products for double the price than another supermarket. If you have money to throw away then shop there, otherwise there is a morrisons half an hour away.

Thought it might have improved, how wrong. Wanted a bit of lite bite on the way home, it was 1230 and not more than a dozen customers, that should have told us something.I asked for something breakfasty, Sorrry, breakfast finished, ok how about a bacon bun, sausage bun ect Sorry that's finished too. OK beans on toast, sorry can't do that either, we've got everything you asked for but no can do. A management instruction. Soup of the day and a sarnie, sorry we can't do the soup, have you run out I asked, No havn't got any but why is it advertised, management issue. How about Ham Sandwich and chips, sorry no ham sandwich but egg or tuna or ham and cheese, I'm desperate any will do with chips and the wife will have a toasted T cake. Paid for at 1234, at 1305 I'd eaten my sarnie but no chips or T cake, forgot to put through as only a couple of us. Requested money back for items not arrived, staff very apologetic and totally stressed, great staff, cafe worse than hopeless, You've had your chance Booths, certainly won't go back.

Sadly, the very high quality of the supermarket is not reflected in the café. We never have a meal here but any pleasure in the snacks we have had had been consistently marred by the inordinate length of time we have to wait to be served. This time, we were informed at the counter that 'Your toast will be twenty minutes because we've got breakfasts to do' (It was 11.45). The accompanying teas were offered immediately but we had to request that both came together. On arrival the toast was good but it came without a knife. The cutlery drawer was empty of everything but a fork. Dirty tables and floors betrayed a poor management of the staff and space. A real shame, as we are very loyal Booth's customers who value their attention to quality very highly. Strange.

I visited with my 3 year old and 1 year old yesterday for a quick (ha!) bite to eat before shopping. It's my own fault really - every times we've been the service has been terribly slow but I decided to chance it again. However, if anything it's getting worse. I ordered Eggs Benedict and a spaghetti hoops and toast for the kids. It even says on the menu its a pot of spaghetti hoops - the kind that takes 60 seconds in the microwave. Anyway, I was told it would be at least 20 minutes (yes it was lunch time, but it wasn't heaving), so I said OK I didn't mind waiting a bit, but please could they sort the kids more quickly - the lady who served me was nice enough and said she would talk to the kitchen - which i saw her go off to do. However, the kitchen obviously completely ignored her as 22 minutes later (just as I was going up to complain) it appeared. Then 25 minutes later my Eggs Benedict. By this time the kids were pretty hungry and letting everyone know about it!! Anyway, afterwards I asked to see the store manager, who wasn't available but instead got someone called Sue - who clearly could not be bothered. Her manner was terrible. She looked at me blank faced and just said 'do you want a refund?' No, I didn't want a refund - I wanted it to be fed back to the kitchen and for it not to happen again. But she clearly didn't see the issue and only agreed to speak to them once I pressed her on it. She later came and told me it was due to a 'queue for the toaster'. Again, her manner was terrible. How other supermarkets like Asda can clearly manage to prioritise young children, and Booths can't I have no idea. It honestly feels as if they don't really want to encourage families to eat in there. I came out of the store feeling so annoyed (not to mention when I asked a man stacking shelves if there was any baby spinach and fair enough he went and got some for me - but never said a word - and even then didn't hand it to me - just put it on the shelf. Just bizarre). Sort it out Booths!
