The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South Lakeland North West

If you're in the area you must try this place, the flat iron steaks are delicious. Service is fairly quick and polite and the atmosphere is good... it's a good idea to book a table because it's very popular with the local people....This restaurant did close down and I'm not sure if it's still closed.

Beautiful place for coffee enjoyment

Nice friendly greeting by staff and a lovely looking eating establishment, wasn't to busy and had a good selection on the menu my food arrived promptly and was cooked to my liking. Worth a visit

Used to be a little bit different, a little bit higher quality in ingredients and in beer offerings. Now it’s just the same downgrade Peroni to Nastro etc. Save a few pence but turns the product into the same as everywhere else instead of that small cut above. Such a shame.

I have wanted to visit Bluebird at Coniston since the story evolved and restoration complete - tick - amazing . I then wanted a steak. Being honest, we tried a number of other places first ( we don’t know the area so just did in order of finding no other reason !) but eventually walked into here. So first impressions, really good. Lad serving and welcoming people in was down to earth and brilliant. Ordered sensibly priced drinks and then food. Sane chap served us throughout. I’m a fussy steak eater - it was brilliant, well presented and perfectly cooked. My son had the pie and it was too notch. Absolutely a gem of a place that we will come back to. I cannot recommend the service of our waiter highly enough - impeccable and a credit to the trade and those who employ you . I did provide the feedback there and then and an absolute shame we don’t carry cash to tip personally . Try this place you will not be disappointed especially if you have a furry friend with you. Had a lovely Caramel nutcracker Hot Chocolate, which they are able to make with soya milk and soya whipped cream! Staff were friendly and helpful! Nice quiet and calm environment to sit in.

I would never recommend anywhere that charges £21.60 for two medium glasses of what is clearly cheap supermarket wine.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, and as a child the options I was given were fabulous .The staff were amazing especially the staff member Jungan and she served us all amazingly and definitely made us all feel really well looked after. All of the views were fabulous.

Can't comment on the food because the service was so poor we did not wait to eat. It was not clear if it was table service or you ordered at the bar. Walked in and asked the bar staff who looked at us like we were from another planet. It sounded like it was table service so we sat down. 10 minutes or so later, went and asked for menus. Sat down for another 15 minutes and then walked out. It wasn't even busy just awful customer service. Go elsewhere. The Boardwalk very close by was excellent.

Amazing as always. We come here regularly and it’s always been great. The staff are amazing, and so is the food and service. Very dog friendly. No rush to leave as my son and I played a game of cards. Even when it was super busy. Thank you

Y ciertamente es cierto en este lugar. El pub, está un poco anticuado por dentro pero nos recibió un camarero extremadamente agradable, acogedor y activo con acento del noreste. Este tipo es lo que nos hizo quedarnos en este pub la mayor parte del día y, aunque inicialmente estábamos un poco cansados de la comida, esos temores eran completamente injustificados cuando vimos y probamos la deliciosa comida. El barman realmente hizo todo lo posible para saludar a todos con el mismo nivel de entusiasmo y bienvenida durante todo el día que habíamos empezado a pensar que se había puesto, pero no era completamente natural. . . Esto marcó la diferencia y, a pesar de que tenía algunos clientes más difíciles y exigentes que querían ser atendidos frente a otros que habían estado esperando. . . . El pub se llenó y fue un día agradable y fabuloso. . Hice algunos buenos amigos mientras estaba allí también. Definitivamente regresaremos cuando volvamos a Windermere. Las cervezas de barril también son encantadoras y saben cómo mantener limpias sus líneas. Disappointing. Ideally located on the main street but not somewhere we'd go again. Ambience was non-existent, toilet facilities unsanitary and the waitresses having to deal with being shouted at (unfairly) by whoever was in the back. Food took a while to arrive and was expensive for what was on the plate. There's much nicer cafes to spend your money in, don't waste your time in here.

Loved this place! Great location with excellent views of Lake Windermere and the marina. Friendly, professional and attentive staff - a little wait while they were busy but we just look in the views and our delicious cocktails (pomegranate daquari and espresso martini) arrived in no time! Highly recommend!

We stayed at this hotel and ate here on our first night. It was for our anniversary. I waited 10 min at the bar to get shown to our table. I was pretty dissapoonted there was no table service and had to order at the bar. There wasn't enough staff and had to wait an age to actually order. I'm not sure if the lady behind the bar was new or not but she couldn't add our meal onto an open tab to pay at the end. She said they didn't do this but another staff member showed her how. She forgot our drinks after ordering despite reminding her twice. The starters where very tasty and after they finished I ordered some drinks at the table. Again I couldn't do this andbwas told to que at the bar to get more. They have an app to order to your table outside but not inside. When I asked could I use it Inside she told me it doesn't really work and not to chance it. Our steaks arrived and we're very tasty but so so small for the high prices. Again had to go back to order desert and more drinks. This time the barman poured me the wrong wine twice! I even bought the menu to him and said what I wanted. A white Canyon pinot grigio but he kept bringing me rose saying they didn't do Canyon pinot despite drinking it earlier. He then said "here just give her this" and gave me a wine glass full of water and said "she can pour it over your head"!!! What a rubbish experience it was for our anniversary meal. And so dam pricey with a beer and wine costing over £16. Our drinks glasses where never collected from our table and the whole reseraunt and outdoor area was littered with them. We will deffinetly be eating elsewhere on our trip. I wonder if breakfast will be so unorganised?

A stupendously friendly local watering spot to frequent after showering off in the Ghyl on the descent of a spontaneous weekly hike/Scramble. The eloquent handsome young Christopher is going to be sadly missed, as he starts his tour of the relatively so called New Found Land. But this is life, the best education can only begot by travelling 🧳, and that’s not just an opinion. But based on empirical research from living firstly in Berlin for five years and followed by nearly two decades of life in tropical far north Australia 🌴. Have a great trip Chris 🌏
