Greggs in South Lakeland

Tried the drive thru...waited and waited was nobody home?, Was it closed? Reversed out and entered the shop and waited at the counter and waited and waited....3 or 4 staff just chatting away oblivious to customers. 17:00 pm on Saturday. Outstanding service.

Working in Ulverston a quick mean is always handy. The staff in this Greg's go above and beyond, always happy and smiling 😃 . Is a very friendly atmosphere and the food is always fresh and tasty. The staff In this store work their socks off you will never catch one slacking. Glad to have it here.

Judith the Manager was so helpful and Hospitable- With a cheery welcome and big smile. Just what I needed on a what miserable day - Judith served me with professionalism- And cheered my day up with a great value meal too.

Not much open in Ulverston on a Sunday morning for a cheeky bacon buttie, whilst enjoying a walk up Hoad and around town. Lovely friendly staff, quick to be served and great value for money! Will be part of our regular Sunday morning walk!

Just visited for breakfast, was served by a really helpful young lad called Danny, he did a great job despite constantly being interrupted and undermined by another member of the team. Not great for customers to see.

Can’t beat a good Greggs. Staff always cheerful and helpful... why buy one sausage roll when you can have a full pack. Vegan ones just as nice. Establishment always clean and adhering to covid restrictions. Highly recommended.

Called in for a cuppa. Although the service was fine, the tables and floor and one of the seats were in a right state. Needed a good wipe down. Crumbs all over the place plus a spillage on the floor. Mentioned this to the staff who wiped the tables down but said too busy to do the floor. Busy or not tables,seat and floor should be kept clean and tidy.

We called here for a breakfast sarnie and coffee of Friday - there was unsurprisingly quite a wait as the breakfast deals are cheap. When we got it the bacon was as tough as old shoe leather but it served its purpose in satisfying our appetite. We returned on the Saturday to find the place almost empty but all signs of breakfast cleared away. It was exactly 11am on my mobile phone and we were told they had closed breakfast at 11 (wish I could clear up a meal so quickly). We were offered left over sausages but after the overcooked bacon on the previous day thought better of it and left.

A surprise to find in this small town. Couldn't resist picking up a couple of my favourites -- Steak Bites.

I have never been spoken too like the way i did this morning. One of the members of staff shouted at me for looking at my watch (i dont wear a watch) because she didnt open on time. then argued for 10 mins with me for complaining about the poor quality food that i received weeks previous. When told her attitude was not acceptable, she mocked me and blamed the poor service to another customer on me.

really helpful customer service, left my purse in car with husband so they were kind enough to allow me to take the food and come back. very trustworthy. simiple food but very tasty

The staff at Gregg's are wonderful the food is great and of course I absolutely adore their chicken bakes, this is easily one of the best fast food chains in ulverston.

I don't recognise the staff from reading the reviews on here. When we visited, the lady serving was wonderful. She gave our daughters cupcakes that were going to be chucked at the end of the day (I was too tight to buy them, rather shamefully!). The Festive Bakes were top notch and fresh out of the oven too.

Grumpy and rude staff, looked like she had been on a bender the night before! Cold food and dried up, needs better staff and a smile in return would be good

Lady in shop was a delight. Very helpful and kind. Coffee was a little on weak side for me but the person serving in shop made up for any short fall there.

We called in there today. We are not big visitors to greggs and did not know that they had meal deals . After buying two baguette and paying to eat in. It was nearly £6 for two baguettes to sit in, it would of been nice to be told that there was a meal deal on, we noticed it while eating our baguettes 🤔

Yep, standard cheap eats, for the hungover massive and open early on Sunday RESULT! , GET IN THERE!, will be back, of course, for flakey pastry goodness :)

Lovely staff but the food here (cold sausage roll)was below standard and not what I'd expect from a local bakery. That said, I'm not a Greggs regular because I hate everything they represent.

good prices and meal deals, but a lot is pre packed, however for £2.25 a coffee and cake/pastory meal deal is a must, however the ques can be horendous, especially at lunch time and if you go late agtrnoone theres not usualy a lot of food left

called in and ordered 2 bacon and sausage buns along with 2 coffee's which we got served very quickly by chatty pleasant staff. Food was excellent really tasty and not too fatty.

I popped in for a take out lunch, I ordered soup and sausage roll, both were delicious and hot, the counter was so clean and also the serving area.. Impressed

We had arrived in Ulverston mid afternoon and opted to get a quick snack here so as not to spoil our appetites for our evening meal.

Recently refurbished and it's much better. Great value for a quick snack. Friendly staff. Always popular so you'll have to queue

Greggs .... something for everyone :) nice soup for a quick smash and grab lunch .... good value breakfast sandwiches till 11.30 am healthy options too !

Despite being very busy at lunch time with the local school and college pupils the queue was dealt with quickly by pleasant smiling staff. We opted to take advantage of one of their special meal deals (sandwich and a drink £3) which we ate in.The standard of the food and the service where very good

I Ordered my usual lunch but from a different greggs, how ever normally with greggs there consistency is excellent however today I found that when I ordered my pricy pizza slice it was just above room temperature, for the price I payed for the slice I would have expected better, I wouldn't recommend this branch however they have had a refurbishment which has left the inside a pleasant place to sit in and enjoy a drink.

was expecting BIG things from this establishment since its refurb. looks nice but hte food is EXACTLY the same as any other greggs i have been to. hugely disappointed. let down is an understatement!

Visit regularly when in town. It is always busy because of its very good food and drinks at reasonable prices. The special deals are excellent. They have definitely cornered the market for quick eats.

we nipped in for a quick snack, pizza was dry and overcooked and cold, staff did not sile and was cold in the seating area and not clean.

Ulverston seems to be past its sell-by date....lots of scruffy empty properties at one end of the town, but more nice newish one -off shops at the lower end. It needs re-generating.
