Absolute rubbish. Poor service and awful food. Cannot believe Morrisons allow this - I am not sure if this is a franchise but it is a disgrace.

Appalling. You have to order your food on a self service device. There was no one on the tills in fact the only conversation we had with staff was when a woman came over to tell us they were out of poached eggs?? Food was not great, we left half of it, the sausages were well overcooked and the bacon was rank! It was a random decision to have breakfast there, it was a pit stop on our way to the lakes but I wish I’d read the reviews before we went! Very understaffed which is obviously why the service and food is so terrible. Very disappointing as Morrisons cafes I’ve been to locally have been good. I’d avoid at all costs!

Management are at fault. The staff are minimal but doing their best. No supervison. Was told my breakfast would be 30 mins wait but it turned up 10 mins later. Dirty floors , dirty tables. Nowhere else to eat. Grease on seats and tables not cleared. I blame management. Young group blatantly helping themselves to coffee and fruit and not paying in next table. Pathetic.

The lady in the till think her name was Ophelia was rude and horrible to customers. Kept missing the numbers and taking food back. Food was ok wouldn’t say it’s amazing. Beans were not nice at all. Disappointed

This cafe has a neglected feel about it. No body on the cash tills you have to wait to be served by someone from the kitchen. The cashier was miserable and moaning. I ordered cottage pie peas and gravy and a coffee. When my meal arrived it looked nothing like what it was pictured to be. There was no coffee turned out you have to help yourself from dispensers. That area was filthy with dirty cups etc. Morrisons your customers deserve better than this you would be better to close it than serve what you are serving at the moment. !!! I certainly wouldn’t done here again

Food looked Great and presented nicely. The staff did a fantastic job, it's not their fault they are understaffed (ie. take orders and cook food, so customers arriving after us wondered where staff was at till). The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Ordered poached eggs on toast, might have well of ordered boiled egg on toast. Rock hard eggs on dry toast (at least if it were buttered toast it might of helped) my companion has full English, was ok they said, but only for the bacon. Thick fatty rind , inedible, and again the fried egg was seemingly cooked for a solid 25 mins we waited. Rock hard.

Closed without any warning . Came in specially for cooked breakfast but couldn’t be bother to open that day. No warning on website or anything .

I got 5 pieces of bbq chicken wings and every single one of them is black as F and got more bone than meat, like there’s F all meat on them and there menna be chicken wings, sort your S out Morrisons, very disappointed

Avoid this dump. Uncleared, dirty tables and slow service. Waited 40 minutes for an all day breakfast that was so bad it wouldn’t even be fed to an animal. Disgusting. Worst place in Kendal - believe all the bad reviews!!!

GOOD NEWS Drinks Machine working now , but nothing else is, went for breakfast ! told its a limited menu, bacon bun sausage bun egg bun and that was about, though the full menu was located by the till , sausage and bacon bun arrived, £3.00 for sausage ( overcooked near burnt) plus £1.00 per rash of bacon ( smallest rasher seen and over cooked ) has this place sunk past the point of rescue or is it a plan to drive it into the ground just to close it down ? second option seems to be winning

Filthy place, rude incompetent staff, absolutely vile food. Waited 40 mins and it was disgusting. Staff just walking past dirty cluttered tables.

Very poor experience. We didn't have high expectations - but even so the place was awful. Hot food had to be ordered on a computer display which was not working. Drinks, cake etc. was self service. Many tables strewn with crockery and part eaten meals . The atmosphere was dreary tatty, and down market. Ken Morrison must be turning in his grave.

Where do I start? Understaffed, waited ages for a full English which was overcooked and missing bacon, both coffee machines broken, had to ask for milk, cup and cutlery as all were empty/not available to hand, several flickering lights which were distracting, unenthusiastic & slow staff. Truly awful. AVOID

I really don’t know where to start went for breakfast it was awful bacon hard sausages over deep fried mushrooms cold looked like they had been microwaved beans ok black pudding like shoe leather and it was all cold coffee machine not working had to get drinks from inside the store really there should have been a note at point of ordering not everyone wants a spoon of instant when paying for one from a machine!! Restaurante impecable y limpio. Covid 19 limpia y pantallas, etc. entre mesas. Fui con 5 niños de entre 4 y 16 años. Todos elegimos comidas diferentes. Todos llegaron juntos y muy calientes. What has happened to this place, it used to be so good, A long Q so decidedto order on screen, only to find no order numbers. Joined the Q, very few sarnies ok if you wanted prawn. After ordering went for drinks, no cups or cutlery ended up with luke warm coffee. Could see no clean tables anywhere, staff were serving food but going back empty handed, with empty trays and not clearing tables.Sat on a dirty uncleared table, and waited, saw a member of staff drop 3 full milk pods out of his box , he didn't pick them up just kicked them away.We waited ages for food, table cleared just as food arrived. The wifes fish was terrible it was overcooked and mainly batter, my breakfast looked as though some of the kit had been lying some time and presentation was bad.As we enterd a chap said to us " don't go in it's really bad"This place used to give really good value, great service and quality food, I don't know what's happened, Sorry!!! won't be back!

Coffee was terrible but a lot of people seem to go here. Needs an update and the layout of the store isn’t great, it all needs a freshen up in my opinion.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was very impressed. Good prices. Decent food too but what was most striking was the service which was excellent. When the food arrived they left a green flag marker at the table to remind them to check that all was well. They returned after a couple of minutes and only removed the marker once they'd confirmed that the customer was happy. Great system and very pleasant staff. Well satisfied.

Bought some shopping within the store. Store untidy floors dirty. Fruits and veg stands all marked and dirty. Stock in cages in every aisle making it hard to shop. Pallets of stock in random places. Cardboard on the floor. No staff at butchers had to wait a good ten mins before anyone came. Store management shocking spotted what looked like managers just walking round on the phone when clearly work needed doing. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

We visited here on Thursday 8th, my daughter had macaroni cheese and discovered a small piece of cellophane in her food. We didn't kick up a fuss but when a member of staff asked us how we were I told her. She immediately went and reported it to her manager and came back and apologised profusely. Offering 2 free drinks and 2 cakes. So big thankyou to the member of staff,sadly I didn't get her name but she was a Geordie lass, very nice young lady.

Somos clientes habituales de este café. Algunas mañanas desayunamos. Ni una sola vez han recibido correctamente nuestros pedidos y salen tibios o fríos. Su chef necesita ponerse en marcha o buscar un nuevo trabajo. . . . El personal es siempre miserable. No parezca que quieren estar ahí. . . Cuando venimos a almorzar, está bien. Almorcé aquí con un compañero, fue mucho mejor, mesas limpias de comida decente, servicio rápido, las mesas se despejaron rápidamente, los constructores hicieron un panecillo de desayuno, nos derrotaron a mí ya mi amigo. Lo disfruté mucho ya un precio decente, el lugar estaba limpio y brillante. Al menos cuando era operado por el supermercado se puede controlar y hicieron un trabajo decente.

I wanted porridge in the cafe today and ended up with what was supposed to be a bacon roll. It was cold congeled slime on a stale brown roll. Revolting. I can feel it sliding down now. Never again.

I visited the cafe on 11th September at lunch time with two friends- I was disappointed by a usually good cafe. Onion rings dropped off my plate during service not replaced, tepid soggy chips, dry flavourless onion rings (side order) followed by a dry inedible choc fudge cake .

My mum and I came in for our tea. We are both vegan and ordered a veggie burger with no coleslaw. Both burgers literally came as black as charcoal! We where tempted to complain but didn’t want to make a fuss because the staff seem so friendly.

We called in the cafe for a quick snack. The wait was excessive more than 45 mins for a quick snack. People were giving up and leaving. A shame as it is usually ok.

I had fish and chips here on the way to a nearby meeting and the whole experience was excellent. The till service was efficient and friendly. The meal was really good and served with aplomb by someone who appeared to have been trained as a waiter. The meal was freshly made. The fish looked and tasted like plaice and was very fresh and cooked just right. Excellent chips. If this had been a restaurant, the only thing that would have let ot down would be the very average coffee but as a supermarket cafe meal it was totally excellent.

We only have cereal and toast for breakfast so we find a supermarket near to hotel prefably a Morrison's Good service and good food. No cereal last morning (because of snow) so had a very good bacon roll.

The few trays that were available were dirty and one was swimming in tea. Not one cup was clean. Upon mentioning this to the only staff member visible who happened to be the cashier, she impolitely told us that she was not in charge of cups but hastily replaced them with clean ones. Eventually we found a table which was not littered but eating sandwiches and drinking tea in such surroundings was most unpleasant and we will definitely not return. Unsure why, once customers have eaten, they cannot return their trays complete with crockery, etc. to a tray rack leaving the table clean for other customers. It's a simple operation which operates perfectly well in supermarket cafeterias in some parts of Europe!

Was very busy but food came quickly and was hot, tables cleared and very clean, much improved from our last visit. staff very pleasant and seemed less stressed.

Called prior to staying at a holiday cottage in Elterwater. Do not normally frequent Morrison stores. Found the staff very friendly and eager to help . Lunch soup, excellent, and carrot cake.shopping experience excellent.

This is a large well stocked store with plenty of parking. Usual good Morrisons value and helpful staff. The cafe is a good size too.

Did our shopping and called in for lunch, told 20 min wait which we were happy with, 40 mins later food turned up with an apology from the nice member of staff stating very busy and short staffed, they really looked under pressure.

We planned to have breakfast here on the way back from holiday. The young guy on the till was very polite and courteous. The prices were good and the service was good the food edible which is unusual for a supermarket well done to the guy at the till he also cleared our tray...wish I had got his name he deserves a pat on the back!!

For £4.60 who could complain ? (though warm plates might make it even better 🙂) cooked nicely and handy for the supermarket. Haha. Cakes/cold food in the Cafe chiller cabinet looks nice. Would come again.

We ate here a couple of evenings while on holiday. The food was fine and the staff friendly, particularly on the second evening. It's not by any means 5* but you get decent food for the money.

Ate here for breakfast once.. twice, never again. All I ordered was two rounds of toast, it took 20 minutes in a restaurant where 6 tables were occupied. It finally made its way from the kitchen it arrived on my table. All I can describe it as is warm bread needing a sun tan. Floppy warm bread, how can you get toast so wrong??? Asked for a replacment, it never arrived, we left out if pocket. Every time I walk past that restaurant I just shake my head, didn't help matters that I was a head chef at the time.

Visitamos a principios de mayo para una comida bastante concurrida la hora del almuerzo. En el momento de nuestra visita. Buena selección de comidas y nos sirvieron solícitamente. Buena comida, pero necesitas mejorar el tamaño de la porción.

Almorcé con mi hija, café estaba lleno y nos dijeron esperar 20 minutos. De hecho llegamos en unos 15 minutos. Yo tenía una chaqueta de patata con queso y frijoles y lo único que puedo decir es que me gusta mi queso y frijoles mantienen separadas pero eso es una elección personal, y la próxima vez que te pide. La comida estaba caliente y bien presentada.

Mi madre y yo fuimos y cenamos. Ella tenía una lasaña y tuve una patata de la chaqueta. La lasaña era preciosa, pero la chaqueta era muy pequeño y no hay mucho que lo llena no era más grande que un huevo de pato. Cuando fuimos para bebidas tuve que recoger al menos 7 tazas antes de encontrar uno limpio, ellos hubieran lavado aún había café y leche en la taza incluso de labios. Los cubiertos, aunque estaba cubierto con servilletas lavada dryed hasta y comida. Esto nos hizo pensar dos veces acerca de volver como muy sucio.

La comida en el Café morrison no es terrible, pero en general no es buena. Las porciones son pequeñas. Pedimos adultos comidas y las porciones eran como una porción de los niños! También pedimos una gran porción de patatas fritas en el lateral. Por favor me puede subrayar "grandes" de la porción de patatas fritas no eran grandes. . . Había literalmente a 10 patatas fritas! ! La comida que venden es barato para ellos para comprar, así que no entiendo por qué sería tan estrecho en patatas fritas, etc. jajaja! ! Este es un buen lugar para venir si quieres un almuerzo pequeñísima, pero no vayas allí para la cena, de lo contrario te quedarás decepcionado. Es refrescante y agradable personal acogedor. En el punto efectivo joven Bethany fue eficiente, así como información de voluntario en una forma tranquila pero exhaustivo. Inmundas. No esperes mucho de todos modos con ser una cafetería, supermercado, pero si hubiera estado en la higiene de los alimentos que tienen hoy ha cerrado en el lugar. Popped in for breakfast, pleased with my bacon butty - good thick bacon, others had poached egg on toast and cooked breakfasts. All quite happy and full, did have to remind the waitress about one portion of toast which wasn't a problem.

Visita café con mi hija, que es seis. Pedimos comida y un par de pasteles. Mi hija, entonces necesitaba el inodoro, visitamos el wc y volví a encontrar nuestra mesa clara y mis hijas capa en el tranvía de la basura recogida. Fui al cajero y preguntamos dónde estaba mi comida y tomó mi abrigo hijas. La cajera le pregunté a otra chica lo sucedido y se hizo evidente un cobertizo sólo despejaron la mesa. Me dijo que quería quejarme y la cajera se apagó, nunca para ser visto de nuevo. Que esperar después de 5 minutos, y fuimos a servicios al cliente y pregunté para hacer una queja formal. La señora contactó a alguien a asistir. Yo entonces esperamos otros 5 minutos. Un gerente escocés apareció, luego re explicó lo que había sucedido, y esta vez estaba recibiendo furiosas, él parecía seguir ofreciendo la razón por la que esto pasa mucho porque la gente deje la comida, ropa, y tampoco encienden había tenido suficiente, y no iba a conseguir cualquier disculpa había pedido mi dinero. El Director escocés dijo la señora servicios al cliente para emitir mi dinero.

I have never been to a cafe in such a state in my whole life it was simply not coping. The person taking the order (Matt) was clearly new and was having to muddle his own way through with no real support. There must of been a good 40 tables which had not been cleared and the floor was covered in dropped food and other associated waste. During the time I was in the cafe not a single table was cleared or any food waste removed from the floor so much so when I finished I cleared my own table as not to further add to the problem (and it's not a self service cafe and i can honestly say I have never felt a need to clear my own table before)

It's a shame as the restaurant has been refurbished, so it should be a great little stop off, but unfortunately the experience was bad. I'm writing this sitting after eating, and out of the 13 unoccupied tables surrounding me only one does not have dirty plates on it, and there is also food and a fork on the floor near us. There are customers wandering trying to find a clean table, rather than simply an unoccupied one.

They have not long done this Cafe up and it makes it a much nicer place to have a bite to eat. The food is good but nothing fancy, service is fairly quick. I do like their Fish and Chips they do have veggie options

Working nearby and popped in for water, stayed for a quick dinner. Staff were tidying up but were friendly and efficient, food was well cooked and tasty, basic and very good value for a hot cooked meal.
