Superb. Traditional pub food. Well presented and very tasty. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful. Comfortable seating.

We went for breakfast to the newly opened cafe at 19 the Wine Bar yesterday (Wednesday 27th May.) We definitely made the right choice as it was superb! One of the nicest we've ever had, if not the nicest. It was beautifully presented and the products so tasty. I'm usually very fussy with sausages and end up giving them to my husband. Not on this occasion, they were so good and clearly not cheap supermarket variety. Tina and her staff are really welcoming, friendly and accommodating and the cafe itself is very comfortable and inviting. Glad we've finally found somewhere in Kendal to get a decent breakfast without having to drive out of town. Can't wait to return! Thanks to all the staff.

Great little place, not as cosy as I’d like but would be fine for most people, good food, little pricey compared to our usual place in West Kirby but totally worth the cost for what you get.

They have benches outside and boddingtons on tap. What's not to like?

Great family friendly pub. Lovely food served Thursday to Sunday.. Sunday roast are good pool table, darts and good juke box. Good selection of beers, gins, etc... beer garden is fab in the warmer weather..

Great food from this quirky little gem of a town centre cafe. There’s no rush here to get you out they even have table games like connect four to keep you busy. They don’t do hot meals but rather tasty sandwiches with generous portions of content. The milk shakes are so so good made with fresh milk and ice cream. Highly recommended 10/10.

You good pub live music karaoke

It’s a bit of a tardis here, the historic frontage leads into a characterful interior with a large garden. Beer selection could be better imo, how about local beers?

Met friends for a drink, very nice

Really nice proper pub, went in last Saturday evening for a few pints and was met with outstanding service and a very warm welcome from the landlord and the bar staff, would definitely recommend!!!!

Lovely place for coffee and cake or a meal. I had the Haloumi salad and it was delicious. Lovely staff and good coffee

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Dining here was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The waitstaff acted like they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging our existence, and when they finally brought out the food, it looked and tasted like something that had been microwaved from a week-old leftover bin. The portions were laughably small for the absurd prices they charge, and the flavors ranged from bland to downright offensive. I ordered the pasta, which came out cold and clumped together like a soggy brick. My friend’s rice was so overcooked it could have been used as a hockey puck. I wouldn’t recommend

From great service to amazing brunch so worth calling in , nice choice , it’s our second visit here and we were not disappointed. If you are wanting lovely food and nice service this venue is for you , simple menu clean and good quality ingredients- Thank you .
