Farmers Arms in Wyre

With my support worker and our friend my support worker treated us both to Christmas dinner which was delicious and definitely coming back again

We arranged my brother’s 80th birthday party at the Farmers Arms. The quality of the buffet was excellent in that it was good wholesome food. The homemade sausage rolls were second to none. The beer prices were reasonable and we all had a great time.

Tempura battered calamari wife give 9/10 Bacon and black pudding wrap absolutely amazing the sauce made the dish absolutely beautiful Prawn fajitas were absolutely amazing, so much of it as well! Chicken burger was unreal absolutely massive, 10/10 Service was great. Hat off to the chef. This place was recommended by another pub and we will be back tomorrow! Overall absolutely amazing

We called here after being turned away from other pubs in the village which stopped serving food at 2,00pm. We were greeted by a very friendly, helpful young lady who is a credit to the Farmers. We ordered a steak and ale pie and a chicken and leek pie. We could see the food being prepared by the Chef and when it arrived both dishes were delicious. We thought £33 was very reasonable for the food and a drink each. Highly recommended.

Great variety and quality of real home made food , lovely clean pub comfortable and welcoming and very good value . Nice real ale too. 50m from canal and has its own car park , dog friendly

It would have been 1 star but an extra one was given for the pleasant lady behind the bar. Tasteless food. My sizzling prawn fajita dish consisted of the smallest shrimps I’ve ever seen and some onion. No fajita seasoning or any other seasoning come to think of it. Worst Fajita I’ve ever had. My wife’s meal was also tasteless. Don’t think John or Greg would have been impressed.

Very enjoyable lunch, good service, spotlessly clean environment. Good value . Will return when in the area.

A great lunch ,good food ,generous portions and served by nice people. Also the loos are nice. All I all - what’s not to like? Like the Terminator ‘I’ll be back’!

Table of 6 turned away at the door because 'chef had turned off the kitchen'... Not sure how hard it is to turn on a fryer... We rang at 18:40 after reading they stop food at 7pm, were told to be there in 5 minutes before the kitchen closed. We arrived within this time to still be turned away. Had a lovely meal in the end at the wheatsheaf where our business of over £100 was appreciated. Not sure what kind of establishment can afford to turn away that kind of easy custom but good luck to them. This happened on 29th September 2022

We had lunch here last week. We both had cold platters with a side order of chips. The meat, fish and cheese on the platters were plentiful and good quality. Lots of well cooked chips too. One minor suggestion would be to provide the bread unbuttered with butter on the side. We had two platters, a side of chips and two drinks for £25. We'll go again when next in Garstang.

My son, husband and I have eaten here this afternoon, there is plenty to choose from and the menu is easy to read. Our food came piping hot, it was well presented and a genourous portion, the chips and the pie we ordered was delicious.. we really enjoyed it 👌

Booked for a Friday evening. Food was fab lady and gent that served us were very hospitable. Only thing lacking was ambiance as we were only one eating nevertheless well done farmers arms.

Wow ! we walked in 15 minutes before closing time and they accepted our order. Asked if starters and main could be served together which was no problem, the food was DELICIOUS. Service was efficient and so friendly. A huge shout out to this pub for a welcome smile and gorgeous food on a wet and cold night in Garstang

Iv been here 3 times now for a meal , and I have to say it was excellent. Couldn't fault it at all. We will be back. The staff was lovely too

Took my mum for lunch here. 2 ordered from the £9.95 for 2 courses 1from main menu. Chose the vegetable soup which was OK but a little bland the garlic ciabatta was nice. The scampi was alright. I had sausage with chips. Didn't realise it was Cumberland as it wasn't stated on menu and it came swimming in gravy. You get what you pay for. Service was quick

Very nice food a very service and lovely staff and very good customer service was brilliant am definitely coming back in October with my aqua aerobics group for the aqua social

We had lunch here and the portions are generous and you can tell they are freshly collect to order in terms of gammons and fish

Visited on a Saturday lunch time whilst in Garstang for a football match.Friendly welcome from staff and locals.Good value for money.Pint of Guinness, Strongbow and Stella only £10..others in our group also mentioned good value drinks available.Portion of chips £1.60.Other diner's in vacinity.. Breakfast looked lovely.Would definitely recommend and return again if in area

Great menu, lovely venue and specialls are excellent! Friendly and helpful staff too! For a nice drive out somewhere in the country for an evening or sunday definately worth it!

Went for a family day trip to Garstang today and ended up at the farmers arms for lunch. Ordered burger and chips for kids and my husband had a pulled pork burger and I had a deli board. All food was lovely, fresh products used and presentation was great and was less the £8 a meal was great value for money. Will becoming to Garstang again, just to eat here again!!!

Honestly, Adrian was sent by the angels themselves. He is the nicest barman I’ve ever been served by. Please never leave us, stay in Garstang forever, forget Russian we are better

Rude staff we had two vegan diners and when I asked what vegan options do they have, the manager said ‘none we don’t cater for vegans!’ I asked whether the chef would be able to make anything vegan, vegetables etc, she went away and came back and simply said ‘no’! There was 10 of us, so we walked out and went across the toad to the Royal Oak where there was curry that was able to be made vegan and also a stir fry!! So won’t step foot in this place again. It probably explains why there was no one else in when we went and yet the Royal Oak was busy with diners

We visited the Farmers Arms during a day in Garstang at the weekend. We wanted to find somewhere for a nice meal.

We went today for 14.00 a table for 4.

We all had 2 courses for £9.95. Garlic mushrooms to start and pie of the day (mince beef) veg and chips. Great value for money, nicely presented. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely be coming back

Enjoyed lunch at the Farmer's Arms in Garstang today. The food was excellent, hot, tasty and well presented and the landlord, Michael, couldn't have been more helpful.

Called in for Sunday lunch. Very impressed with the whole experience. Lovely restaurant/bar. Promotes itself as primarily a seafood restaurant but also do meat dishes. We had duck pancakes and prawn skewers for starters followed by a roast dinner and fish pie. All were top drawer! First visit but, most definitely, not the last! Highly recommended.

Never eaten out in Garstang before but fancied a change of scenery. The Farmers Arms was the easiest pub to get in (the one way system and access to many premises being a bit of a puzzle) which is how we came to eat there.

Had a great lunch, the fish is the biggest I have seen. All food served piping hot. Really tasty and well presented. All in all a great meal and I would recommend this place to others.

Family meal was enjoyed by all. Good selection of drinks. Food is great for lunch or dinner. Very clean. Good service.

Lunch for 3 adults and one child today was the best we have had in ages. Fish and chips were generous portions. Lovely fish in batter and perfect chips Two of us had the meal deal of starter and main for 9.95. The starters were excellent and then the main dishes (mine was pie of the day (mince) with chips and veg were excellent. We will certainly be returning.

My work colleagues and I ate lunch here following a walk in the area.

Me and my friend visited the Farmers since we were recommended to go by another saying that the food was delicious. We were not let down, the portion sizes were huge and the presentation excellent. I had a burger which was lovely. Although this is pub food, it is not to be underestimated as I think it is the best in the area! It's just a shame that they only do lunches!

Went here at lunchtime with my daughter and boyfriend and my husband, really friendly staff and lovely food, and reasonable prices.

On holiday in the area, we had walked into Garstang and decided to eat on the way back to our campsite to save me cooking

I called in for lunch today whilst doing 5mile walk around Garstang. The decor is really good now following the refurbishment last year. A couple of Lancaster Brewery real ales. Reasonable menu and a very enticing 2 course lunch for £7.95. I went for the Salmon fish cake then Steak Pie with mash & veg. It was all very good, will be back

We went to the Farmers Arms one Thursday just after it had been refurbished. Lovely surroundings and although busy the service was great. Highly recommend a visit.

Visited the farmers last Saturday for a late lunch with the husband . Both ordered the Christmas turkey lunch . Meat was beautifully cooked . Veg great with lots of very tasty gravy .

Well I am just absolutely stuffed to the brim with one of the nicest lunch time meals I have ever had !!! This pub is a gem near my home set in the old world charm of Garstang. The ambience is relaxed but classic in a very clean pub . The attention to customer service is excellent and the presentation and flavour of the food fabulous. The portion size is enough to keep your doctor in a job !!! No scimping at all but not so overwhelming that you feel you are climbing Mount Everest. I have a good healthy appetite and the meal perfectly fits for that chilled contented feel perhaps even a nice pleasant snooze . The taste of freshness shone through and at a very reasonable price . You will be missing a pleasant and satisfying experience not to go . Definitely be back thank you !!!! Xxx

Called in for lunch last week, what a pleasure it was, the food was excellent, good portions at reasonable prices and cooked to perfection, the chef is a credit to this pub, as everything is cooked fresh, (not warmed up) so a small wait, to enjoy a nice drink. The place is very clean, and the staff make you very welcome. We will be returning again soon as this place is not to be missed. A credit to you all. Thank You.

Outstanding food, we were blow away by value for money, portions and quality. We will have to travel far to find as good in Manchester......remember some of the top chefs are here. So this is praise indeed. Well done to the pub landlord and lady who we spoke to briefly before returning to eat later in the day after shopping in this lovely town. Their staff are excellent and an asset to their establishment, but the food is to die for.

Went here yesterday to watch the football with the grandchildren it is very very clean and the food was fantastic! They have a good choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely going again. 😄

On Saturday 6th August, I visited Garstang FC and after the match was invited back to the pub they use. Really good beer and cheap. When I was ready to leave, I was in need of a taxi and the barmaid rang one for me and it arrived very quickly. The following day, my wife and myself walked along the canal from the hotel we were staying in to garstang and rang the same taxi firm and one wasnt available for a hour and half, with time to kill we popped in to the Farmers and I mentioned it to another bar maid and she rang another firm and got us a taxi for 30 minutes time. A lovely pub with good ale and good staff, we will pop in again next time we are up visiting our daughter.

The only pub to eat after 2-30pm for lunch. The place was two thirds empty. We ordered and sat down. 45 minutes later my soup arrived. As I began to eat, I felt something was not right and I pulled a 2 inch long piece of cling film out of my mouth. When the waitress came to take my dish away, she didn't speak, so I said , you need to mention to the chef there was a piece of cling film in my soup. Her reply, sorry, I'll tell him. My main course, half pound burger, was tough, burnt and dry. Left it. My wife had scampi, which she said was ok. Service was poor, my food was poor. Will not be returning.

Over the last 3 or 4 years, the missus and myself have visited the Farmers Arms on a few occasions when we've been visiting Garstang.

I was surprised here the venue is really nice and i will be back again go here as its worth a visit Nice area well worth a visit

New menu started today, so we thought we'd give it a try. Food came out prompt and hot. Very nice, we will be back to try the deli boards.

Hadn't really thought much about going here but as we were parked nearby we decided to have a drink here. Very surprised by the nice interior and reception from the bar staff. The prices were reasonably and the atmosphere very pleasant. The food people were being served looked very appetising.

Visited this establishment on a Tuesday lunchtime,the place was nicely decorated and friendly staff,I opted for a double burger,bacon and cheese,cooked to perfection and what seemed too be a fresh homemade burger made with care,others in our party opted for sandwiches which looked equally as appetising,all in all a good spot too lunch,I also heard there decking all the back patio out at a later date so possibly some nice alfresco dining in the .....keep up the great work thanks we will be returning

I decided to call in for a break of journey and The Farmers Arms was the nearest one I saw as I went into Garstang.

The new decor is fabulous, my daughter, granddaughter and myself called in for lunch and was extremely satisfied with the menu and the food was really lovely. Will defiantly recommend it to everyone.

Good value pub - 2 courses and a drink for £9.95, till 5pm.. Food is well cooked pub grub, plenty of choice Welcome and service all fine and the car park is convenient ; you can enter from Church St or from opposite Aldi. Variety of sports screens if you want that kind of thing.
