Oddfellows Arms in Cheshire East

We are loving the newly refurbished Oddfellows in Nantwich! The owners have done a fantastic job of turning it into a great local for all those who live around the area. We have especially enjoyed visiting their weekly Quiz night on a Wednesday, with lots of rounds and every team wins a prize (make sure to book a table though as it is very popular!) We need to visit their Tasty Tuesdays night as it sounds great and we're looking forward to the summer days to see the newly refurbished beer garden. A must visit when you are next visiting Nantwich.

Jonathan and Rob have settled in well, the vibe is chilled and friendly, lovely refurb on the pub. They’re selling a good selection of wines and beers at reasonable prices, great background music and I can’t think of a better place in which to unwind in Nantwich. Looking forward to enjoying the beer garden;when the weather allows , and when food is available. Top notch pub.

Visited with friends this week, lovely pub, went to a food event, for the sharer platters, absolutely delicious. I am so disappointed I don't have a pub like this near me. The landlords Rob and Jonathan are perfect hosts, very friendly and engaging. I will definitely visit again.

Fantastic pub! Under new ownership and new landlords are very friendly and welcoming. The Pub feels a lot cleaner and brighter. Great selection of drinks. We went with a group of dog owners and had a great evening. We love the art corner with works of art on display from the local art shop/gallery. Very welcoming atmosphere. We loved the fizz Friday too! Thanks for a great evening. Some of us are going to the taster evening and we look forward to that too!

We have just come home from a wonderful menu sampling evening at The Oddies. The food was delicious and our hosts were so welcoming and kind (as usual). Can’t wait to try more of these delicious mezze platters in future. We love popping to this pub for a drink or to join in with the quiz and really enjoy the new gallery wall which includes well known and local artists. Thank you for another great experience guys!

Great quiz night on a Wednesday night, really good fun and every table was filled. Shared a couple of bottles of wine with friends and had a giggle. This pub has changed so much, it’s light and bright and yet still holds its charm and character. The landlords are fun and gregarious, and attentive.

I have known the Oddies for 40 years. Great improvement, but a shame to lose the open fires. Electric look alike open fires are no doubt easier to manage, but you lose so much atmosphere. It doesnt take a lot of effort to keep an open fire so I recommend you reinstate the open fire. The Bkack Lion beckons!

The transformation is excellent, the new landlords are really making a difference for the best, good ales and wines, great welcoming atmosphere, decor has been completed with a fantastic art wall featuring 2 Banksy, well done Johnathon & Rob for making the Oddfellows the best pub in town!

One of the best typical old fashioned pubs in Nantwich . The new owners have made the pub so welcoming. It’s great to sit at the bar and feel so at home. The pub attracts all the locals and it’s great to prop the bar up and have a good old laugh and chat with some great people. They have made great improvements in the decor making it more welcome. Can’t wait to see what they have to offer when the menu kicks off. This has to be one of the best pubs in town. Highly recommend.

Wow, this place has transformed from the dark dingy pub to a stylish, comfortable place to spend time with friends. The decor is light, there is a art wall in what's titled the 'Art Snug', There is a huge amount of wine choice and my other half was pleased with the real ales and draft lagers. I'll definitely be back with my girlfriend, they are introducing sharing plates in February, can't wait to try. Yummy!!

My first visit to the Oddies in a while and wow, what a transformation! The new owners have come straight in and got stuck into making it extra stylish and the seating is so comfortable it makes you want to stay that little bit longer. Great effort in the outdoor space too, I look forward to revisiting very soon to see what else they pull out of the bag!

Very welcoming and comfy art snug complete with fire to relax in. Owners Jonathan and Rob are a delight and full of local knowledge too. Your feel welcome and at home in this newly renovated pub. Looking forward to trying out the beer garden in the sunny months too!

Excellent choice of ales and wine, the new proprietors have transformed this pub into a traditional pub with a modern twist.

Under new management the place has had a complete refurbishment and it looks eloquently stylish. While retaining a modern flare, the decor also has a traditional vibe. The owners are friendly and warm, making you feel both welcome and as though you're meeting up with old friends. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again.

We are so lucky to have the Oddfellows as our local pub. It has great ambience, lovely locals who go in and are very friendly and a warm welcome from the landlords who have recently taken over. They are doing a great job in making the pub look really classy with tasteful decor and we can’t wait for the food to get going and the newly landscaped beer garden to reopen.

Been in a couple of times since new landlords took over and had a very warm welcome. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for the Oddies. It is such a lovely pub in a great location, with an amazing beer garden and I feel like Jonathan and Rob are really going to take it to its full potential! 100% worth a visit.

The oddfellows has new management and the chaps running it are clearly passionate about elevating the customer experience and the pub generally. From my experience they are certainly achieving that, the vibe is relaxed, unpretentious and very civilised. They have a great chef starting in January too and the menu sounds great. The beer is good and they had some real ales at very low prices which folk have been enjoying as they are changing some to update and refresh the offering. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses that care and really make an effort for their customers, and this is certainly one of those. Top job oddies !

We went for a few beers and a bite to eat staff were friendly and helpful food was good. They are dog freindly and pub dog Loki shares his treats with canine mates !

I write this with an open heart Kevin the owner is so friendly and so is his staff! They always say to keep the noise down to keep everyone else happy ! But yet they do so much to try and keep there customers happy also, one time I went in and asked if we could do karaoke and they got out equipment to do so even if it wasn’t the best, they still tried to cater to the needs of there customers other times I have turned up and they have been doing bbqs or making fresh foods for guests and it has always been on point ! Honestly I always choose to end my night here as I know there will be no drama no fighting nothing just a really honest and chilled environment and honestly now a-days that’s all you could really ask for in a pub !

Was told the landlord had just told the bar staff that I was barred. Hadn't visited before, no explanation, no discussion, had to leave. Embarrassing

The food here has changed since the 4.5star review. They used to have fabulous food from various pop up kitchens. Since the new management, a new kitchen is cooking permanently. The menu is limited and barely edible. We ordered several dished. One word to describe the food would be cardboard. The fish and chicken was like deep fried cardboard. The chips tasted days old and refried to within an inch of its life, limp and dark brown.

We popped in for food and drink, however found the menu rather limited and based on this we decided to just have a drink. Having walked in, it felt very much like a 'locals' pub.. contrary to other reviews and the Pride flag.. we did not experience a welcoming or inclusive vibe. We visited many pubs in the area and this was the only one that we had this negative feeling about. The pub benefited from quite a large beer garden, which was a lovely sun trap... we were pleased about this, as we would not have felt comfortable staying inside. Personally, if we returned to Nantwich, we would not return to the Oddfellows Arms.

Bar staff amazing landlord needs to be removed. came from upstairs telling me to be quite as he was unwell and it was his home Then please explain to me why the public house was open for myself and husband to have a drink nothing said about staff playing the piano oh It was only 15.00 in the afternoon wishing we had just walked past as I completely lost it

Nice friendly pub out of the town but all the better for that, landlord and staff are great and always friendly, well worth a visit with lots of choice on the drink front so won't be disappointed.

Great pub and newly re done garden is fabulous (great sun trap too). With a group of friends, we spent a very happy Coronation Sunday afternoon and evening in the garden. Kevin was on BBQ duty and the food was excellent. Good selection of beers and always a welcoming atmosphere.

This is an excellent Pub. Fully recommend a Visit.

Wow, what a superb find on a Sunday afternoon. Keeping it simple. No starters (you certainly don’t need any), just a choice of about 3 or 4 roasts and another 4 or 5 dishes including steak pie and cheese pie to name a couple. We ordered our roasts and were amazed at what was served after a very short wait. Our plates were so full of large, thick slices of meat, roast and mashed potatoes, yorkshire’s and gravy that the veg was brought on another plate, again served fresh with plenty of choice. Roasties even tasted home cooked. In fact, we’d say this was the best roastie dinner we’ve ever tasted that wasn’t cooked at home. Coupled with a lovely atmosphere in a cosy, friendly pub with attentive staff and background music/videos to entertain. The owner/cook/chief bottle washer himself personally came to check everything was ok for us. All for a very welcome cost of £10.95 pp. We will certainly be returning. Word of warning, only 20 covers are currently offered for Sunday Lunch, but this will no doubt change when their new bistro is built at the back.
