Very rude went there for something to eat and lady was awful guess what took my custom elsewhere would never go there again

Good portion sizes well presented. Staff didn't know what was available on the menu which they should have asked on their shift on arriving that morning, sorry but it's not hard. Shouldn't have to go in and check if two of the main sandwich fillings on the menu are actually available or not. Ok things run out during the day but this wasn't the case. Not huge I know but a bit irritating when the two options you pick are not known if available. But food very good. They need to sort out where you pay as standing by the door just gets in the way of the service and customers coming in and going out. Move the clothes they are selling and re arrange the counter area. Really made me feel uncomfortable standing dodging everyone to pay. Plus the people on the table by the door kept looking at me as though to say can you move we are eating, but I had to keep dodging staff and customers. Really put me off

My beef & Stilton toasted sandwich was superb Presentation first class with a delightful little salad. Cafe dressed really nicely, curios adorning the walls Prices may look a little Highbury well worth it. In fact I told the staff how good I thought it. A bit small maybe, but if it were bigger it would take away the quaintness of the place.

An unexpected cute and lovely place. My partner and I we walk in for a coffee and some toast. Staff very friendly. The place so cute with lots decoration details.

Lovely little place and food and drinks are presented well but the staff are so glum. They made me feel as though they didn't really want us there. Waited for the place to open....standing outside and asked "what time are you opening please" answer was "erm around 10.30ish". Stood there until 10.40 in view of staff who had still not opened up?? Strange.

If you are looking for great food, amazing service and a fabulous atmosphere then this is the place for you. We found it by a lucky accident and were so impressed with the delicious lunch we had. We will be back!

We arrived at 3. No food available from this point. The drinks were fine but on the expensive side. I explained my daughter is vegetarian. Drink arrived with a big marshmallow on top which deffo not veggie. We left the cafe before 4 and my daughter saw a staff member say ‘finally’ to her colleagues. We will not go again. Lovely decor but thats about all.

Best coffee shop in Nantwich with the friendliest staff

After having a bad experience somewhere else locally, visiting here was a breath of fresh air. What a lovely place with lovely staff! Great food and drinks options, lovely atmosphere and epic decor.

Me and the OH called in here on the spur of the moment and we're glad we did. It's a quirky, eclectic little coffee shop that doesn't just offer good food and service with a smile, but every corner is crammed full of fun memorabilia and books and posters. We only had a sandwich, but next time we'll give the cakes a try! Highly recommend this friendly, unusual eaterie!

Actually it’s all in the title. We had called in here in the morning for coffee and cake and spotted on the menu some really interesting toasties. We came back for lunch - thinking if the cake is anything to go by, it was totally yummy, then the toasties must be pretty good. They did not let us down. Delicious and excellent roast beef with blue cheese and a crunchy peanut butter with sliced pear toastie that is buttery and crisp; all accompanied with interesting side salad with usual leaves and blackcurrants. We watched a young girl and her dad demolish the biggest and most interesting chocolate sundae ever topped with, we thought, candyfloss. We resisted because we were full and restrained but vicariously experienced their joy.

Used to be a great place however we went today and sat there for 40 mins waiting for drinks that never came, people who ordered 30 mins after us were served and got drinks and we were still waiting, asked where our drinks were and told we were next however they went off and did something else at this point we left.

I love this quirky little cafe - I found it a year ago with my husband and had a fabulous lunch so sought it out again when visiting Nantwich with my mother. She loved it too - we both had toasties (different ones, as there were several to choose from) and they were both delicious. My Mum said it was the best toastie she’s ever had - quite an achievement at 85!

Food was ok but expensive for a toastie and took over 45mins to arrive, a bit too much going on regarding decor aswell for me

Loved this place! Eclectic interior and great cake selection. I had the salad and it was excellent. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the local area.

We are so pleased to be able to now go back to this special little place for lunch. We had forgotten the small touches that bring a smile. Before you get to the food , have a look at the surroundings and also , cutlery , glasses , plates ….this is not just any old cafe . We enjoyed the toasted sandwiches today which are quite different to what one usually gets . Soft bread and delicious / generous fillings beautifully prepared, locally sourced . The salad that comes with it is also lovely and full of treats, including a cucumber in the shape of a heart.This is a place for lovely food in a joyful environment leaving you feeling happier and ready for the rest of the day. We’re pleased to be able to visit them again. Thank you.

Went out of their way help help my 11 year old daughter to have a gluten free lunch with her friend on her first trip out on her own.

Absolutely the best place I have ever been to. They have wonderful, cheery, smiley staff. That help where they can. And the freakshakes are to die for oh my gosh if you haven't already you should. They do all different kinds. The shop is so unique where ever you turn there's something strange but interesting to look at. it's very clean. I felt well looked after. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone 😍😍

Visited yesterday and had the best soup we have had for a long time. Spicy vegetable with coconut and beautifully presented. We opted for it to be with toasted cheese on toast. Good value for money.When we arrived there was no table and to save us queuing they phoned as soon as one became vacant. They did not allow sharing of tables, all good practice in these times.

The toasties and drinks here are so nice. Lovely staff too. Table next to us had a dog and they bought him some treats out

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Just managed to get a seat outside while inside restrictions were still in place.Only had coffee but drinks were great plus prompt service. Pretty extensive menu should you wish to eat.If you are sitting outside area in front isn't too busy. We'd return.

As usual a great lunch and customer service 1st class only problem was coat was required to be left on as temperature was quite chilly due to front door left open not the only customers who were wrapped up having lunch.

My husband and I were so pleased to find this little gem. The decor has to be seen to be believed-out of this world. There is so much to look at! The care to hygiene and spacing was second to none. We both felt extremely safe in there. All tables and chairs were cleaned within an inch of their lives after customers left. My husband’s sandwich was fresh and tasty. Our coffees were spot on. My only disappointment was that I wasn’t hungry so didn’t eat anything. I’ll make sure I eat on our next visit. We don’t live in or near Nantwich but consider this cafe so special it’s actually a “go to” venue. In addition to the decor, hygiene and food we both found the service to be excellent! We will be going back for sure!

Absolutely delicious!! Takes a sandwich to a totally different level. No limp lettuce or squashed tomato in sight. A lot of thought has obviously been put in to menus. And be surprised if you order milkshake you will never want one from anywhere else. Staff were lovely. Couldn't do enough for us

We were here for the first time, new to Nantwich and what a find! Our choices were just delicious and so well presented. Great service in these difficult times and I can’t wait to go back - it will be our first port of call for food for sure.

The kids’ faces when they see the milkshakes here are priceless. They make a mean cheese on toast for the discerning grown-up visitor too...

We stumbled on this place by chance, glad we did. If you want quick service and that in and out feeling, dont go here. The food created here cant be slapped together. Its all made with love and care. My partner had the soup. The spoon could stand up in it. Lovely flavours. I had a toasted sandwich. It was lovely. We saw 6 milkshakes go out. Wow. Staff were excellent and presentation of everything was lovely. Great place. We will be back.

We both enjoyed this place, excellent friendly service, quality food and an all round great time. The beef sandwich was terrific and filled with meat. Cannot falter.

Like many post lockdown, we are still quite anxious about eating out, but also keen to experience some normality. So we ventured to our favourite cafe today for lunch. The Marmaladies have worked so hard to maintain social distancing to keep customers and staff safe. We certainly felt very safe. The automatic hand sanitiser is quite something . Tables and chairs are sanitised between customers and you have to wait to be seated which is only a good thing and they have a Track and Trace system in place. The warmed goats cheese salad was lovely and as for the freshly baked scones wow. Delicious. I would recommend you book to avoid disappointment. Thank you Marmaladies for going above and beyond to make your customer feel safe.

Since lockdown has changed so much I must say we felt very safe with all the extra precautions due to covid and the service was impeccable and food was amazing as always. I must praise all the staff and we will be back.

Lovely little cafe, tables are very close together and packed in but that just makes it easier to pick from the menu as you can see what everyone else is having Menu choices are simple but a bit wacky but thats ok with me. Very friendly staff, and the decor is a sight to behold there is so much to look at ...... id hate to do the dusting (but it does get done as the place is spotless) if you are in the area forget the 'run of the mill' coffee places and pop in here even if its just for a Freakshake .......

Quirky Little Restaurant Full of surprises. My wife had one of their Peanutbutter and Salted Caramel Milk Shake with added Banana Flavour Candyfloss and added Chocolates plus half a doughnut ring Milk Shake. Only for the Brave....Wonderful

In their short time in Nantwich Rachel and Connie have won the best newcomer & best cafe awards. Well deserved !My husband and I are regulars and enjoy the excellent service and imaginative food on offer.Highly recommended and great for veggie lovers and also out of this world speciality *Freak Shakes* !Can’t praise it high enough ✅

Delightful menu delicious coffee and cakes. The staff were very friendly, nothing too much trouble at all. Don't know why folk use the big coffee cafes when there are fab privately run businesses like this that enrich the town and local staff. Will be back with all the office next week for our Christmas lunch for sure

Always visit here with my grandad, we enjoy the good coffee, and they the best toasties in town. The staff are always lovely. Good spot to people watch or take a friend/family who is visiting Nantwich, especially to enjoy the eclectic decor! It’s a kooky spot and is always a wonderful visit. Soup and sandwich is always a good and the cakes are lovely. The freak shakes are a work of art - if you can fit one in!Sorry, no pictures of the food - but just look at that decor!

A fantastic late lunch with a remarkably delightful soup. The visit was topped off with a lovely chat with the guys at the next table, the great singing from the staff and a bit of a cafe karaoke ❤️

A delightful place to have a cuppa and snack. Decor takes you back in time and you can spend time marvelling at all the quaint items that will bring back memories of childhood. The ladies that work here are delightful and make you feel like part of the family!

What an amazing Cafe! Must be the best cafe by miles in Cheshire. The service is truly excellent. The staff are wonderful and Cheerful. Plenty of things to keep you amused. My wife and I spent a wonderful time, a couple of weeks ago, playing Scrabble. There are other games available! The menu is to die for, but, beware of the milkshakes, they are huge! 10/10 ladies. You are doing a great job. Keep it up!

Stumbled accross Miss Marmalades yesterday, busy! However managed to get a table for two. From the quirky decor to the rather amusing menu ' how to keep warm in a tent' someone obviously loves & cares about the whole customer experience. We had the specials 'Sprout, Sausage, Stuffing & Cranberry toastie' , on ordering we were told that there is a wait on food, not a problem for us, plenty of time & knowing our meal was made to order it is only to be expected. Plenty to look at & the music was a treat, most customers secretly tapping feet! Such a lovely atomesphere, popped to the toilet and discovered the lounge!! Its like stepping back into my mums Loved it! Our food arrived, beautiful presented with a side garnish, I think they call it an allotment garnish, strawberries, plums, apple & pear what a treat! Then the toastie, I was in heaven, amazing I will be talking about this lunch for months. Over all an absolute find, everything done with such love. We didn't have much enagement with the staff, however very polite & attentive.

We ordered soup and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally we went to ask where the soup was and were told they were just doing it! No apology, just excuses. This is just not acceptable. If they had been busy I might be able to excuse it, but they were less than half full! Bad attitude from staff and no communication.

Walking down a little pedestrian side street in Nantwich feeling very hungry, my wife and I stumbled across Miss Marmalades, with its quirky looking exterior and equally quirky interior. There were few tables left (always a good sign) so we squeezed on to a little sofa by the window. To say that this establishment is eclectic is an understatement! Even the menu is fun (someone has worked hard on this I can tell you - namedropping lots of artists and how to have fun in a tent - you really need to visit to understand!) Well I plumped for a sausage and gerkin toastie and my wife went similar with sweet chilli sauce. Then came the choice of drink. I had a coke. My wife, on the other hand, ordered a banana milkshake - a creation the likes of which I have never seen in my life! It was a meal in itself, she didn't need the sausage toastie that's for sure (see pic below). Anyway, being the sensible one, I tucked into my toastie, full to bursting with succulent sausage, gerkins (my favourite) and melted cheese, a pure delight. My wife did actually finish both the milkshake (!) complete with half a banana still in its skin, and her equally delicious toastie. If you are stuck for conversation in this place, there is plenty to look at to eliminate any awkward silences that's for sure. The place is an absolute gem. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, and we really can't recommend this place enough. If you find yourself in Nantwich with a rumbling tummy, look no further than Miss Marmalades. But, be warned, read the FREAKIN' (their words not mine) milkshake warning before ordering. "Not for the faint hearted", then laugh your way through the rest of the menu, very clever. 5* all the way no doubt about it.

stumbled upon this charming place on a work trip to Nantwich & a complete treat. Colourful, characterful decor, inventive delicious food with so much thought & detail. Wishing every high street had a gem like this.

From the quirky interior, to the brilliant dish names on the menu, and let us not brush over the owner’s singing to the brilliant soundtrack playing during our visit - this place would have had an easy 10 stars from me. I love this place, you’ll love this place. If you don’t pop in here for a sandwich, a cup of their fantastic soup and a glass of your favourite plonk then quite frankly you’re as mad as a bag of angry cats. The food is faultless, and the attention to detail is spot on. The picture is of my friend’s caramel latte... nice huh! Get yourself down here for a treat. The staff are all wonderful. A nice find of a coffee shop in the heart of nantwich opposite 34 pepper street cafe. This cafe does great milkshakes and cakes, plus a great range of coffees and teas for anybody out and about in nantwich needing a drink to finish the day!

2nd time we have been here, lovely latte’s & mochiato but I love everything about it, all the different items hanging off the ceiling & on shelves, worth the travel & the food & cakes looks good too

Miss Marmalades is a cosy and quirky cafe. The staff are friendly and warm. They make delicious, over the top milkshakes. These delightful creations have all sorts pouring out of the top - cupcakes, donuts, whip cream, marshmallows, cookies, sprinkles, etc. They look wonderful. We only popped in for a quick brew. Everything was delicious and we got to enjoy our tea seated outside enjoying the lovely weather.

My friend and I both visited for lunch today.I had the Cheryl Beef sandwich and sparkling water{not just any water but with ice, lemon ,cucumber ,fresh cherry and other fresh fruit}

OMG if your ever in Nantwich or passing by this is the place to go. It’s quirky, retro, fun funky, fabulous and that’s just the staff. The decor is same as the staff fabulous with a hint of 70’s nostalgia thrown in. You could well spend a couple of hours in there just looking around. But let me tell you about the milk shakes. They are a meal in themselves, our teenagers just love em. We have to keep coming back with different friends so they can sample one or two lol. The food is simple but with a delightful twist, the food combinations are like explosions in your mouth. Every bite is stupendous. I / we can’t rate this place enough.

This is my second visit and yet again was totally wowed. As we were going on a Saturday we decided to book in advance glad we did but had a perfect seat looking over the busy street. The vibe in place is fabulous great music yet relaxing in a bustling atmosphere. They had just launched their new menus and I opted for Cheryl luscious lips with her charm (roast beef, horseradish, chilli jam and salad) fabulous taste and so fresh. I really don’t mind waiting for freshly prepared food with fresh local ingredients. The young waitress, I believe one of the owners, even remembered me which was really sweet and the other owner gave us a wave from behind the counter. We felt very special.

We moor our boat at Overwater Audlem & enjoy a potter around Nantwich.This was our first coffee stop & is now our only coffee stop.Lovely cappuccinos,fantastic ambience & lovely folk.A lovely,quirky place.😊

Really disappointed, never been here before. Myself and daughter went in, staff were rude about where we sat, told we would have to move if a bigger party came in. Daughter put a bag of unopened sweets on the table we had just bought so she could take her coat off. Another member of staff came straight over and told her off for eating sweets in there and to “put them away immediately”

First time here in both Nantwich & Miss Marmalades. Thought it was such a change from some of the usual bland looking interior of cafes. Scone & toast lovely & good cup of tea. Will return soon

Visited Miss Marmalades again with family on their recent visit home from Scotland . Lunch times are busy but well worth the wait, food hot and fresh...

It was my first visit to Nantwich when we stopped for a couple of hours on a coach trip, we went in Miss Marmalades because it looked so attractive from the outside. It is lovely, quirky and has ery friendly staff and our "much needed" pot of tea was very good.

I am sad that I am having to write this review but I am now sat here with an extremely bad stomach!

I normally come to Nantwich for the food festival in September so it was unusual to visit the town at this time of the year. My friend and I had never noticed Miss Marmalades before as we had tended to eat elsewhere in the town so when we stumbled across it, and with the shop front looking so attractive, we knew we had to give it a try. It was very quirky and the staff were lovely. We only had cups of tea but the cakes looked very tasty and have promised that if we come back during the food festival, this is the place we will try for lunch.

We have been a couple of times and it’s good the mocha and homemade soups are fabulous they also do some fab shakes !!

This is our favourite cafe to go to during our hours break from college every two week. We’re always greeted with the staff’s warm and friendly welcome. They always find room for us when we come in a big group and we absolutely love the atmosphere in there, the music and most importantly the food and drink (especially the spectacular milkshakes)

I visit Nantwich regularly with my 81 year old mum. There are lots of lovely places to get coffee and a bite to eat, which is just 1 of its attractions. We have walked past Marmalades many times but it has been full. Yesterday we were lucky enough to get a table and were warmly welcomed. We ordered soup and bread, and water. 2 lovely glasses and a jar of chilled water with lemon and cucumber arrived immediately. We sat and soaked in the warm atmosphere and eyecatching surroundings. 2 beautifully presented soup portions arrived, piping hot, squidgy bread, shot glass of butter! Perfect! The veggie soup was tasty and chunky..and I had a great chat with the lovely (and oh so young!) joint owner on the way out. A short visit, but couldn't fault it. We will return!

Having been here on previous occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the milkshakes, sandwiches and atmosphere I chose Miss Marmalades for a special Birthday treat. Upon arrival we waited patiently for a table, we were seated and then ordered. We were then informed by an incredibly rude waitress that we would be charged extra for the table as we were sharing milkshakes one between two. This has never been a problem in the past. We were so upset we left and are now reluctant to return. This spoiled a treat which had been looked forward to for a long time and will not be forgotten. We felt looked down upon as students and were treated with utmost distain.

I ordered an open Salad Sandwich of Goats Cheese ( warmed ) and Pear and boy oh boy ( girl oh girl ! ) was it tasty. Flavours indescribably yummy. 🖒 Loved the Ice Tea too. Classy !

A belated review from our visit on Remembrance Sunday.

Having not been here before i was advised to book which i thought odd for a cafe. However it is a small venue so booking is best. I arranged here with a friend of mine for a catch up with the kids who could have a milkshake, which didn't disappoint.

Visiting today with my children the owner / waitress / woman with the chip on her shoulder is in the wrong business .
