I visited here whilst working in the area, after researching where to go for breakfast. As per the pictures, there is plenty of choice and I went for a “Vegan Breakfast” priced at £11.50, including; Two vegetable sausages, two hash browns, smashed avocado, fresh mushrooms and baked beans with a slice of sourdough toast. I have to say this was one of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve had, with the vegetarian sausages being absolutely lovely, packed full of ingredients and flavour, compared to other vegetarian sausages. I’ll be sure to come back to this place again.

This cafe always impresses. We don't visit Knutsford very often, but when we do the Cranford is a definite stop. The food is always great, the options virtually endless, and the friendliness of the staff is tops. For us it's a must to be able to take our dog into places. He is always treated like a little king, with his own water bowl and treat bowl. The staff are always friendly, and really do look like they actually enjoy coming to work. Well done to all.

First visit passing by and what a delightful breakfast and experience we had. We both ordered twos company and a hot drink and it came to £30 ISH the food was beautiful , fresh and quality products no wholesale food. The staff was pleasant, attentive and all very helpful and friendly. The older lady why seemed to be the manger was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. Definitely return made such an impression on us

I often pop in for lunch as I work in Knutsford and there is always plenty of yummy food to chose from but was quite disappointed when I came in today for panini that was already £5.40 to then be charged another £2.90 for 5 slices of chorizo! You can pop over the road to Sainsburys and get a whole pack for £1.10!

Lovely cafe. We have passed this on many occasions but decided to try it on Saturday 02/06/2024. We had a lovely meal with one having the crumpet breakfast and the other having the sausage barm plus two leek and potato soups. Will definitely be returning.

This place was absolutely amazing, the breakfast i had was delicious, I couldn’t ask anything more of it. The whole plate of food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely reccommend this restaurant to others.

Rather than stopping at Knutsford Services on the M6, go instead to the town and get yourself a meal at one of the many food establishments in the town. The Cranford is a welcoming cafe that does simple food well. My breakfast bap and pot of tea came quickly and tasted nice. Not much more to say!

Great cafe in the centre of Knutsford ... this was our second visit and the food and service was as impressive as last time! Highly recommended.

Lovely breakfasts & huge selection

Popped in for a takeaway on a busy Saturday lunchtime. So much choice and we were more than happy with our choice. A toasted mix vegetable and Goat's cheese Panini, absolutely delicious. All the staff were busy and so efficient with it. Definitely the place to go for a snack or otherwise.

The variety of food choices is always excellent...ranging from tasty soups, delectable sandwiches and paninis, and the absolutely delicious specials on the board are always a real treat. Whilst the food is delicious, the aspect that really makes this cafe is the staff. All the staff that we have come to know and cherish over the years are so friendly, helpful, happy, fun and always up for a laugh with the customers whilst still maintaining an exceptional level of customer service. Thank you to all of the team for always smiling and making our visits a highlight of our day!

Popped in for lunch this week for the first time and was astounded and delighted at the choice of meals for vegetarians. Steph, the waitress was absolutely lovely, the meal was delicious and I'm looking forward to sampling the other veggie meals when I'm next in the area.

There’s a simple reason why Cranford Cafe is so popular with locals as a venue for breakfast or lunch. It’s the quality of the food and the service. Paula and I visit occasionally with Dixie dog when we’ve been for a long walk round Tatton Park. We always get a friendly welcome and quick service. Whether it’s home made soup with a delicious sandwich or the Full House breakfast we’re assured of a quality meal. And the range of cakes and snacks for a quick pit stop is really good. So thanks to all the Cranford Cafe team for consistently providing great food, great service and great value.

High praise from my 5-year-old: "This is the best ham sandwich I've ever tasted!" Lovely, proper cafe, busy and buzzing on a Saturday lunchtime. The tables are quite close together so can feel a little cozy/cramped when it's full. Menu includes breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties/paninis, soup, and salads. Everything we had was very well made and delicious. Dog- and family friendly.

Popped into Knutsford this morning for a mooch, and an early lunch at Cranfords. This cafe has been going for several years and the friendly staff and quality food remain consistent. We ordered the special pancakes (three American style pancakes with butter, maple syrup and bacon) plus a Cajun chicken and mozzarella panini. There was nothing left on our plates! The pancakes were dripping in the butter and syrup, with the two full rashers of bacon a great smoky, salty hit. On the table beside us, three men devoured breakfast plates. They were huge! Hats off too to the lovely staff (the chap who brought our wine spritzer - aka coffee and tea - who made us chuckle) who are always upbeat. Our cafe of choice in Knutsford!

Food was amazing! Would 100% recommend this cafe to everyone. We got the hot finger licking chicken sandwich and it was 10/10. The iced coffee was the best iced coffee we have ever tried better than your big coffee shops.

Good breakfast, nice food quality. Photo is of a make your own breakfast as I didn’t want mushrooms, soggy tomato and beans etc. It’s dear £17 with the coke but it’s what i expect these days. Preferred scrambled eggs but they were a lot dearer than fried so puts you off paying just for pride of it. But really nice breakfast, will be back in the future

I unfortunately left here in tears today. My friend had recommended a meet up here as it’s a well known Dog friendly cafe in the area and as a new dog owner of a rescue we are trying to socialise him. The very lovely waitress who served us today was incredibly kind and professional however a male member of kitchen staff marched over to our table and told me to “keep my dog quiet as he is disturbing everyone”. My dog is admittedly excitable and is learning how to behave in a social environment and had let out a few yelps which he ceased when I stroked him or when I told him to be quiet. The staff member was so unpleasant that I just burst into tears and immediately left the cafe, leaving my friend to sort out what had happened. She was advised by the lovely waitress that no complaints had been received and that we are in fact welcome back any time. I’m so upset though that I don’t think I’ll ever be going there again. So incredibly rude and hurtful and totally unnecessary. If the owners have a dog friendly policy then this member of staff simply isn’t following it.

Great cafe, wide range of dishes, with friendly staff providing the face if a very slick and professional operation. Reasonable prices. Background music a tad irritating for this grumpy old man!

Super fresh and tasty food. Flavours perfectly balanced. Look out for the special board for some tasty, refreshingly interesting dishes. Superb café where you can find all your favourite traditional sarnies, sausage rolls, custard slices etc plus new and exciting treats sweet and savoury. Great coffee too! Lovely service, kind and helpful staff. We will be back.

Stopped in for lunch recently and breakfast too. Great diverse menu, everything tasted good, friendly environment and great service. Highly recommend this cafe which is good value and has a great looking sandwich bar for takeout as well.

Great food, great service, staff are absolutely lovely.

While travelling to Preston on the motorway, I decided to avoid the services and make a minor detour to Knutsford. The nearest parking is on the street, but places are limited to 40 minutes. There may be other places, but I didn't see them. They really understand that gluten for some is not a good thing and have an excellent menu. Staff are really nice, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and I'd happily recommend this as an alternative to the services. While I was there, a plane flew over for Manchester Airport The toilet is up some stairs, so it's not ideal for all. They also sell prosecco too!

The best place to go for breakfast, I am not a local but I visit here every month and love it every time!

I live in France and I am English so I always come to the Cranford for the best English breakfast available. Over 16 years I have never failed to appreciate both the quality of the food and the superb service. Friendly staff that despite being under pressure always make you feel so welcome and the service is so quick too. Thank you. I wish you would open a café here in France!

Friendly atmosphere, good fresh food

Decided to spoil my mum and treat her to Afternoon Tea. We were not disappointed! A table had been specially laid for us and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and plentiful plus the staff were more than happy to keep replenishing our pots of tea. Great value and the staff were happy & friendly.

What a little gem, The service brillaint, very caring and with smile on there faces, you are looked after . For a cafe it's brillaint, my partner has been twice and herself and even family loved it here and on my first experience ,I was very impressed . Had jacket potato with chilli and cheese and wow 👌. Chilli was spot on . Genuinely can't fault this place , it's a great little place to pop in and grab a bite to eat . The cakes and sandwiches look brillaint . I will be back 5 star and well deserved

My wife has an intolerance of gluten and lactose. An Internet search revealed Cranford Cafe, which offered suitable menu options to enable her to eat with confidence. A telephone call to Sally re-enforced this and we went for a brunch after a walk in Tatton Park. Sally was on hand again to discuss menu options and confirm that the kitchen had processes in place to negate potential cross-contamination. The food was excellent, as was the service. In addition dogs are welcome too and our rescue shih tzu enjoyed his treat. We would heartily recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely choice of deli style food.... Delish!!!!

One of our favourite places in Knutsford for lunch. They had run out of the special beef noodle wrap as we arrived fairly late, but knocked us up a similar wrap which was delicious. Had a lovely hour or so with our friends and the dog. It's a knutsford institution, always enjoyable - looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of a lunchtime visit to Cranford Cafe on Saturday. The Cafe was busy but I was found a nice table. The cafe was staffed by a team of young ladies (maybe 15 or 16 year olds). I habe to say that the service I received was nothing short of superb. Friendly, knowledgeable and a smile too. I enjoyed a hot panini followed by a fantastic rocky road cake. The sandwich bar had a range of delicious cakes and various flavours of rocky road; all of which looked lovely. I was sat at my table for around 90 minutes and I watched the waitresses work very hard throughout. They were very busy but this did not detract from the excellent service they all provided. Well done!

Went here to meet family for a Birthday breakfast for my husband, Sally and her team, were extremely friendly and welcoming, breakfast was superb, bought us an individual cake with lit candle and the staff sang happy Birthday 🥳…amazing gem of a place…will definitely visit again ( even bought a treat for the dog ) .

We can't speak highly enough of the service we received from Sally and her staff at Cranford Cafe. From the first contact, we were made to feel that we were special and nothing was too much trouble. A party of twenty with four different dietary requirements was catered for in a relaxed and utterly knowledgeable way. Despite it being a Sunday, the food was freshly prepared and looked and tasted wonderful. The savouries were still slightly warm when delivered and the scones were baked that morning, too. Sandwich fillings were imaginative and delicious, cakes were varied, plentiful and not too big. Delivery and service were spot on! Thank you, Sally!

Lovely welcoming cafe, always a pleasant welcome from the friendly staff. We always look forward to coming in for breakfast, there is so much to choose from on the menu and you can even build your own breakfast which is great if you’re not sure what you fancy. The food is always well presented and very tasty-hash browns are a personal favourite and as a non coffee drinker the choice of alternative hot drinks is fantastic.

Ordered a buffet for a party, very disappointed arrived with no allergy information & no labels to say what was what. Expensive and would not ever use again or recommend!

Great food. However, depending on who serves you depends on how much it costs and it's not cheap

The food is always amazing. The lady that works the tables is lovely and always so kind and accommodating, but the women that work the front/takeaway section are so rude. I always feel like I’m being judged when I go in, they take so long to prepare the food whilst they stand there and chat instead of making it. When covid was at its peak, I had an exemption badge yet I was told to stand in the corner and wait for my food and got disgusted looks from the lady working the front. Who had previously scolded me for not wearing a mask even though I had pointed out, multiple times, that I was exempt. I had no problem standing away from the food, but didn’t appreciate the way I was spoken to. You should definitely give the blonde lady that works the tables a raise though!

Lovely family-friendly cafe in Knutsford village. We stopped in on the way to the train station to get a quick bite to eat for the little ones. Very good children’s menu and fast service meant that we were in and out in no time. They even had colourful plastic plates, cutlery and cups for the little ones. Highly recommend the chicken goujon and chips - perfect for my little boy who likes to feed himself but isn’t quite capable of using a fork or spoon yet.

Pleasant staff. Plenty of choices. Coffee and a slab biscuit cake . Coffee lovely and reasonably priced . Cake treat I thought was a bit expensive. £2.40 coffee and bill was £4.80 !

5 out of 5… great food. We popped in Knutsford for a walk after and noticed the sandwiches in the shop. We brought one each and a drink a piece for just £10. And the sandwich were amazing. We will be back next in Knutsford.

This wonderful little place is a gem -- English charm, great menu, a delicious vegetarian English breakfast, a welcoming owner, and a location overlooking beautiful old architecture. Food, atmosphere, and a scenic view. Cafe On The Corner has it all!

Watch out for flying chairs! Just had my car hit whilst driving past this cafe - supposedly due to a dog being tied to it! Not Cranfords responsibility and no genuine apology - days like these it’s good to have a solicitor for a wife!

Went in for a late breakfast, we had the americano and a full English, both were delicious. Lots of other stuff on the menu sounded good too, the place seems really clean and organized.

We had the nicest experience here on Thursday morning. All of the stuff are so friendly and welcoming! I had a lovely panini and my partner had a bap. The food all came fresh, tasty and was presented nicely! Definitely recommend here!

Ordered two mothers day platters and they were absolutely beautiful. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation was excellent. Communication with the Staff was excellent, they were very helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Would definitely recommend and would order again. Also the quality of the gluten free platter was outstanding. Thank you

Visited on a Wednesday morning and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have gluten free options labeled on the menu which is a great help. Only wish I had was would if they did gluten free sausages and beans on the gluten free...

Great breakfast, attentive staff

Lovely welcome at the Cranford Cafe for me and my 2 dogs who happily settled under the table after some water and treats - all provided by the smiling staff - whilst I enjoyed a yummy Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Hot and delicious with a pot of tea. It was very busy but there were a lot of eager young staff. Highly recommended.

First time visit and it won't be the last, in fact this is the new go to place I think. Almost always find ourselves on King St but after collecting a purchase on Princess Street, this was the ideal time to visit here. We both...

I used to come here a lot for my signature like dish prior to COVID kicking in. However coming back now for the same dish, it seems to have more processed than fresh ingredients. However still an OK dish and lovely place to eat in. The Chicken and Chorizo panini used to be little chunks of both, however this time it seem to be more processed packaged chicken and thin sliced chorizo.

Buffet ordered for church café. Prompt reply to request. Buffet items good quality. Delivered punctually. Value for money. Excellent alternative for gluten free diet.

Rarely get the order right but charge you for everything... but things always missing. VERY EXPENSIVE! And touch all bacon and meats then touch the cakes with the same glove, then take your money with the same glove, then start serving the next customer... not the best of hygiene!

All in all, fair to deduct a star I think but it wouldn’t put me off returning.

Excellent food and service. Lots of options and variety. Have the option of designing your own perfect English breakfast. Really good value for money. Would highly recommended.
