Cafe at bridge 80 has become our go to for a coffee and a scone!!! It’s a beautiful location with lovely walks along the canal and the best scones I have ever tasted. Cherry and almond are a firm favourite.

We have visited above for several years and although the service is still excellent I have found the prices to have increased and now getting a little high. Breakfast with 1 sausage 1 egg 1/2 grilled tomato a few beans and mushrooms and bacon £9.20. Black pudding or 2 hash browns a further £1.10. The breakfast comes with 1 piece of toast. This for a venue off the beaten track and I suggest would be grateful for more custom but at these prices I won’t return for a meal. Sorry had better quality produce and at more reasonable prices elsewhere.

Disappointed with the quality of the breakfast, previously had butter cross sausages? Bacon not the same quality as on previous visit? Friendly staff, very bust which was good.

Having had three lovely meals at this cafe during a holiday on our shared boat we were extremely upset when after buying drinks at the cafe we all wanted a magnum ice cream. Unfortunately the cafe do not sell them so I went to the marina office thinking they were all the same business as attached. Suddenly I was shouted at and asked to leave by a very rude man. We had a small baby and were sheltering from the sun on outside tables. The rest of the family had to quickly finish drinks to leave and we had no shade for the baby. The office kindly saw our problem and came out and put up an umbrella outside. This made such an impression on the ending of our holiday that we did not all go to the cafe for breakfast on Saturday before leaving as planned, and not sure if we will go back as we all felt this was totally out of order. A polite "Did you know that the office and cafe are separate and please do not eat things not purchased in the cafe in future" would have been so much nicer. I walked through the cafe so was obviously not hiding the fact that we were going to eat outside the cafe. The attitude was out of order. So disappointed as the food at the cafe is very nice. We worked out we had spent £130 during the week at the cafe!

Nice location, very friendly staff. Had a scone which was microwaved and not great… need to be fresh. Coffee was poor… my wife had a flat white which was not a flat white, I had an americano which was good strength but bitter… if you like artisan coffee go for tea!

Nice food but man was rude! No stars. Having nust purchased cake and drinks from the cafe and was sitting under umbrella outside. My mum and dad joined us and bought icecreams (from the marina, not knowing it was a separate business). The man in the cafe shouted at her as she walked through to join us as she had purchased from the marina office. We had to drink our drinks quick and leave. We had 4 full English fry ups the day before as well as lunches previously. Due to bad attitude we will not be going back. Food was good but manners cost nothing!

Ploughmans Lunch - The Best I have ever tasted.....and I have tasted many! Fantastic value for money, quality ingredients and amongst them......pork pie.....cheese......ham.....egg (yes..all 4!) chutney and home made coleslaw! Plus salad and yummy bread with proper butter. 100% thoroughly recommended...and in Arnie's words......I'll be back! (and so will husband, even he said it was delicious, and he is not one who gives compliments!) If you are in the area and miss this..then you are seriously missing out.

Absolutely fabulous place and a firm favourite for our 2 boys. The owner is so kind and made us feel so welcome. He generously gave our boys a drink and some chocolate, which was such a kind gesture. Very highly recommended.

Travelling by Narrowboat we visited the cafe while staying a couple of nights at Overwater Marina on visitor moorings. Had the “Bridge 80 Breakfast”. Decent “full English” with proper lattes, not from one of those machines. Nice bakery products. Friendly staff. Does credit to the really excellent marina where it resides.

I'm always looking for a nice coffee and cake destination for a bike ride and this one didn't disappoint. I had a flat white and a chocolate tiffin, the tiffin was amazing! My family had a toasted tea cake and a scone, which they said was very nice too. The 'bike bay' is down in the car park, so I didn't leave my bike there, but left it out front of the café, clearly visible from inside. It's a reasonably remote location, so I felt it was safe, even without a lock. The prices seemed okay and the service was fast and friendly too.

Nice cafe in a good location, but for some reason we were served entirely with disposable cups and plates. Aside from the amount of waste this makes it was also annoying how everything kept blowing away in the wind.

Busy cafe when visited on Sunday on a sunny Spring day. Quite a wait to order due to volume of customers but once the order was in drinks and food arrived promptly. Lovely Staffordshire oatcakes with cheese, mushroom and tomatoes. Very tasty, well made, good presentation. Coffee was very tasty. Service was efficient under pressure, friendly and courteous. Highly recommended. No steps to negotiate for access to cafe and toilets. Great views of narrowboats. Plenty of outside seating plus a marquis as well for shelter outside. Fairly limited on number of inside tables available.

Cappuccino was more like a latte. Everyone in group said theirs was too weak. You can pay for an extra shot but that takes price over £3. Shouldn't get a milk skin on a cappuccino. Yuk! Service not great either.

When is this even open anymore? Since November the opening hours are totally fictional...12? 2? 4? 6? Numerous times we have turned up to closed doors and no lights on. On the rare occasion where we have been granted admission the atmosphere has been unwelcoming and the barstaff unfriendly.

Good breakfast and helpful staff. Our breakfast event was attended by 40 people and we were served quickly and efficiently. The echo in the ballroom spoilt the guest speakers words. Otherwise good event. Had a meal here 21 May 2021. Meal good quality but service (slow) not yet up to pre Covid standards. Dined here last night for our wedding anniversary 💕 Superb meal and staff excellent.
