From the first bite to the last sip, everything was spot on. Unfortunately my daughter spilt her drink on mom but the Jamie and Laura were on it and took care of everything, new drink, food re-plated without even having to ask it was just done! The location was clean, good lighting, cosy environment but what really made the night special, was the service from Laura and Jamie. Their kindness, energy, and attention to detail didn't just enhance our experience-they made it. It felt less like dining out and more like being hosted by friends who truly love what they do. If you're thinking of booking a table-do it. And if you're lucky enough to be looked after by Laura and Jamie, you're in for a good meal with excellent service.

Called in for lunch as we were passing. Quite a few choices on the menu marked either as gluten free or gluten free available. I'm also dairy intolerant and the chef came to me to ask how he could amend the dish to accommodate my needs. Beautiful food and no reactions. I didnt check the menu for dessert or beers. Will go again.

When we arrived, our table wasn’t ready and we had to wait in the bar. After finally sitting down, we asked to see an allergens menu which they couldn’t provide. The member of our party who had an allergy then told the waitress his allergies and she went away to speak to the chefs and came back saying that they couldn’t cater for him at all. We then asked if he could go off the bar menu as was unable to eat off the Mother’s Day menu. They said no because only people in the bar (2m away) were able to go off this menu. The staff then tried to blame ourselves for this saying that we should’ve said at the time of booking. We go out to eat at least once a week and we have never had this issue and if they have issues with catering for allergies surely they should’ve asked me if anyone had any allergies on the phone when I called to make a reservation. Since it was Mother’s Day and everywhere would be fully booked we had no choice but to stay and the member with allergies had to sit and watch us eat! Whilst we were there a number of glasses piled up on the table and when we asked them to remove the glasses they didn’t. The lady on the table next to us also got ketchup thrown all over her by a clumsy waitress who promised it wasn’t on the lady’s jacket (which it was). The service was incredibly slow also. We sat down at about 2:15 and didn’t leave til around 5pm. At about half 3 there was another family who came in to get there table and they didn’t get seated until well after 4pm. When we asked for our bill, they had charged us or 6 adults instead of 5 and a child! I wonder how many people they’ve tried this with and got away with! Such a shame bc I was looking forward to trying a few things on their menu at a later date but 100% will not be returning. Absolutely dreadful. Couldn’t have asked for a worse Mother’s Day.

Very friendly staff who were happy to help. Tables were wobbly and chairs not super comfy. The food was very disappointing. I've never before had eggs benedict with cold hollandaise, and it made it a slightly strange textured meal to get through. However, they didn't skimp on the toppings at least.

We found this little gem by accident. We had the dog with us and needed to find somewhere to eat. Passing the pub we noticed the dog friendly sign. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Food was lovely and they had a gluten free menu too. Can't recommend this pub highly enough.

Came across the Cheshire Cheese by accident. We had a group of 6 and a dog. Places near did not allow dogs inside. Cheshire Cheese had it all for dogs, bowls of water, doggie meals and snacks. They had a good choice of food with a great variety of pies at a reasonable price. We had a good meal of and would go back again.

Coffee and food good. Unpleasant experience with customer service, was served lukewarm coffee and asked for it be made again. Later the waitress came back and asked with passive aggressive tone if "the coffee is hot enough for me". A shame for an otherwise nice experience.
