Had a really tasty lunch here. Presentation of food was good and place had a nice relaxing atmosphere. Best of all, the staff were so lovely - kind and welcoming with great service. A nice little find in Ormskirk.

Nipped in for coffees. Waited 5-10 mins to be seated. Was the best Americano I have had in quite some time and I like my coffee!

We love going here for breakfast and the food is always spot on. But what is starting to annoy us that the staff keep repeating the word "Guys" after everything they say, if I was on my own I don't think I'd get called Guy. We're in our sixties and it makes us cringe. It's such a shame because we really like the place, we must of been called it a dozen times when we were there on Sunday. Not sure what you can do about it but just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Called in for light lunch Soup was very nice, bacon sandwich also very nice. Good coffee. Staff were welcoming. Overall a pleasant lunch, We were a little late to use the mezzanine. How about a few tray bakes guys? (As in some of the photos on here)

Would like to leave a good review but after being pointed to table was left and not offered a drink or even saw a member of staff the 15 minutes I was there. Despite only 4 other tables in there. Understandable in a busy restaurant on a Saturday but not Thursday 3 o’clock. So left. Will try again as previously had fine experiences

Very popular cafe, pleasant welcome, apparently people queue for weekend breakfast. We sat in the back, which is a covered and heated area. Service was attentive, food good. I had the posh fish finger butty which was good but well toasted and slightly difficult to eat. The Tartare sauce made it.

The vegetarian breakfasts here are excellent. Really good quality andbvery well cooked breakfast. The atmosphere here is lovely and the service is always lovely. Probably the best breakfast around in Ormskirk. Place does get busy especially on a weekend.

After being on a strict diet for 6 months for a competition, me and my family came for a lovely lunch to celebrate with our 4 month old dog. The reviews we had read were amazing & loved the menu. We turned up and had to wait a while for the table which we expected. Eventually, when we were acknowledge the girl said there’s only 2 tables that are suitable for a dog and only one of these was suitable for more than 2 people. The girl said we’d just have to wait a few minutes for the table. However the girls at the table hadn’t received their food yet and were waiting for a friend. I asked if we could put another chair around the other table but was told, very dismissively, ‘er no we can’t do that’. Staff did not offer any alternative or apologise and a certainly wouldn’t say 2 tables constitutes dog friendly. We left and to Daily Dose in Aughton, 5 mins away & it was AMAZING. Truly dog friendly, amazing service to humans (& dogs), friendly, relaxed atmosphere and AMAZING food.

Wow what can I say - a hidden gem. We arrived for lunch and we’re greeted go our table. The menu seemed small but good choices. Was tempted by the breakfast but decided to go with the chicken burger as it was lunch time. This was lovely - a nice chicken breast cooked to perfection with salad and sauce. Will be trying the breakfast next time!

Excellent find. Friendly staff and great food

Great place. Looked after by Isabel who was extremely efficient and Molly who was super friendly. But the best part was still the food. My family run Breakfast Cafes, so when I say that this breakfast may be the cleanest, tastiest one I’ve EVER eaten they are not light words. Even the wife could find a complaint. Got a nice vibe too with the music and the staff buzzing around. Ohhh and sausages and bacon is from the butcher next door. Can’t wait to return.

Delicious food and attentive staff

Well, today we visited Cobble for the first time, along with our baby grandson. The staff were extremely welcoming and efficient. We had strawberry and maple waffles which were delicious, a very large toasted teacake and a slice of white toast for the baby. We also ordered an Earl Grey Tea and a latte. The drinks and the food arrived promptly. This place is very deceptive. It looks tiny from the outside, but it goes back a long way, has an upstairs mezzanine floor with several additional table AND an outside area at the back with several picnic tables and benches. The toilets upstairs are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this café and will definitely be returning.

Visited today with my daughters. All had bagels . The salmon one was good, not so the chicken pesto and sundried tomatoes- it was greasy. Fries were very good. Service was excellent. On the whole was really disappointed and for £34’we won’t be returning.

I'm not really someone who likes to write reviews, but I had the most lovely afternoon there today and I think you should know about it. What I appreciated first and foremost was that patrons are seated by the down-to-earth and extremely friendly staff--this practice isn't usually done at smaller cafes and restaurants, but I definitely feel more comfortable when my presence is recognised and I'm made to feel at home right away and shown to a table. It took me by surprise to hear that they serve breakfast and lunch all day! The menu was full of really intriguing choices and it took me quite a few minutes to figure out what I would order. For my drink, I went with the Strawberry Blonde smoothie which was served in less than two minutes! It tasted delicious and was a perfect treat for a hot day. And for my lunch, I had the Chicken Caesar Salad with Mozzarella Dippers. Again, the prompt service really took me by surprise! (And it was much appreciated especially since I was on my own.) The presentation was beautiful and the taste was on par with its looks! All of the servers were so attentive and kind to each other and their customers. Two customers were even greeted by name! I didn't speak to the manager, but I did notice how patient and caring he was with his staff when their coffee machine stopped working. He took the time to help them and show them how to fix it next time. That was so nice to see and something I hope would happen everywhere, but I know it doesn't. My absolute favourite place to eat & drink in Ormskirk- rain or shine there’s something for everyone and the staff cannot do enough for you (Shout out to Emily & Mollie!!) I had weight loss surgery recently and the team and chefs are always so accommodating to my new diet, the staff actually remember my order and recommend WLS friendly food and drink to me all the time!

Not the best and food nothing special very overpriced, £38 for a baguette and a club sandwich 1 chips and 2 soft drinks , nothing came baguette was cheap bread and few bits of steak in and no side won’t go back just a typical cafe not a restaurant

Regularly come here when I’m in town for uni and it’s one of the best places to eat in Ormskirk. Lovely range of food and selection of drinks. The staff are always attentive too no matter who serves you. Would 100% recommend the cobble club sandwich and any of the smoothies!

Been before and always an amazing experience! Charlotte is a star, always lovely! Today, we had Molly/Mollie and she was so helpful and friendly! 10/10 team!

Been here 3 times now, every time the food has been great. Nice pint of Madri on draft the perfect accompaniment on a warm market day. Waitresses all really friendly & attentive. Was upstairs in Cobble yesterday when some scrote robbed the tip jar, hope he gets caught. Try the hot chicken burger, it's lovely.

Our first visit to Ormskirk for years and popped into Cobbles for a quick drink. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The drinks were top draw, too. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ormskirk. Our experience today has us planning our next visit.

I was doing my daughter back at Edge Hill University, so we stopped in Ormskirk for lunch. My daughter is Coeliac, so finding somewhere to eat can be really difficult, and she's always concerned about cross-contamination. At first, she was a little unsure about what she could eat as it was only obvious on breakfast dishes that there were gluten-free options. A member of staff explained that there was gluten-free bread and so a lot more choice than we had thought, and not just the usual jacket potato we'd go for elsewhere. My daughter had the club sandwich with gf bread, which she said was the first sandwich she'd been able to have away from home in nearly 4 years (since being diagnosed). It was so good, and she's not had any problems caused by cross-contamination, which she has experienced in other places. I chose the Caribbean chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, which I really enjoyed too. The food was great, staff were really helpful and it was a great atmosphere. Cobble could definitely do more to tell people about their fantastic gluten-free offer. We'll be back because of how impressed we were.

'Small plates' are actually plates of deep fried junk food on a small plate. Not carefully crafted dishes by people who know what they're doing. Staff don't understand allergens despite a big sign saying to flag them. We had to explain to our waiter what a gluten intolerance was. And we had to ask him to check with the kitchen when he didn't know if any food contained it (he just said he didn't know and stood there). Ambience and decor is good downstairs. Upstairs is soulless. Wouldnt recommend and won't be back.

This place is one of my favourites in the UK! It’s a must for anyone in Ormskirk and I’ve been coming here consistently for 5 years. The food is always delicious and the portion sizes are great for the price! The staff are always super kind and helpful. Got to give a shout out to Taylor on this particular trip because he was wonderful with us! Honestly can’t sing this places praises enough!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Good selection of food, food arrived onetime although we did have to ask a few times for the extra drink we ordered. Food was fresh and very tasty, really good sized portions. Light and airy upstairs only down side was the very noisy child screaming. Food was comparable in price for the local area. We will be back as we really did love the food.

Went today for my daughters birthday. Wanted a dessert but they only had waffles left (no pancakes) so she went with a milkshake instead. It was honestly the worst milkshake I’ve ever encountered. Understandably my daughter had one sip and left it. Please don’t get one, they sound nice but they’re gross.

Very busy at lunchtime on a Saturday.....waited a few minutes then seated . Paper menus all stained with drink and food marks ....suggest they need replacing and laminating so they can be wiped clean . Food and drinks well priced ,served hot and tasty .

Cobble never disappoints! Their staff are lovely and nothing is ever too much to ask! The menu has so much choice as well but I always gravitate towards my favourite Avo & Eggs on Toast. Really well priced too!

Service was excellent, pancakes and waffles were dry. Will still eat there again as it is usually better.

We wanted to dine in with our small dog as we have done several times before. The rather unfriendly elder staff member decided that today only 2 tables were dog friendly and they were occupied. We have had no issues previously with any of the ground floor tables. She then offered us outside in the rain, lovely whilst taking more people through to the other tables. That was enough for us, won't be back, with or without our dog. Shame because we visit cobble whenever we are in Ormskirk, but no more.

Not much to knock, except the price point. Looks great, food is decent, for the most part. I would say, for the food you are getting, it does seem a tad expensive, especially when compared to other options for the same price point.

Prices are extortionate for the experience. Food was OK. The decor was shabby and they must have used a teabag from aldi as it was appalling. Won't be back😩

Came this morning and was fairly disappointed, I felt it was a poor quality breakfast, very small portion, not the cheapest (by the time you add sides such as black pudding and hash browns on, and considering the size) and pretty mediocre coffee. Venue a bit shabby, could do with a new lick of paint. That all said, the service was lovely and quick - very nice staff. Wouldn’t come back though. Bramley’s next time.

Used to be really good Place, was nice to support Local Shops instead of Large franchises, but having waited for 10-15 mins to be seated, then ordering Full breakfasts, waited for 45 minutes, PATIENTLY my Wife finally asked where's our food, Only to find out they hadn't put the Order through, Think I'll be Swerving this place from now on unfortunately.

Lovely little cafe with a great atmosphere. It has a good range of foods and drinks available, all of which are reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and polite. There is plenty of seating inside, as well as some outside.

Great atmosphere and lively staff, Christmas decorations where very nice and a lovely charity idea for the kids and families to place a signed bauble on the tree for £1, Lovely array of drinks and food which for the quality I feel the prices where very reasonable! Would recommend having a visit and trying there milkshakes.

Cobble is our favourite brunch spot! Their daytime menu consists of breakfast items (such as your traditional cooked breakfast, variations of eggs benedict and even American pancakes) and also an array of sandwiches. The food is accompanied by a huge drinks menu including hot drinks, smoothies/juices, milkshakes, and soft drinks. The staff are always friendly and the service is always quick. They've got a new "small plates" selection on offer of an evening that I'm dying to try, and they're serving alcohol now too!

Absolutely fabulous food and service. Popped in early doors on a Friday night and what a delight ! Food is amazing, creative, locally sourced and just tasted amazing. Would really recommend! Staff are lovely, attentive and very helpful. Will be coming in s regular basis...
