absolutely incredible, the staff, the food the ambience, we went on a packed bank holiday sunday and nothing was too much trouble. I had the lamb roast dinner and it was so good, the cauliflower cheese was to die for! My mum even left her neck scarf there and because we'd travelled from Chester they posted it back to her. We will definitely return and will be sure to let everyone know how amazing it is. Keep up the great work guys 🥰

First time here Yesterday had a beef roast plenty of food & well presented sadly Beef was " chewy" the roast Spuds too hard to even cut !. The service was excellent. On complaining I wasn't charged for my glass of wine . Not impressed with this food . Especially charging £7 50 for a Pudding [ desert]

Booked a table here off the back of a rave review on Facebook by Manchester's finest. The staff were all super friendly & service was quick. Starters (mushroom bruschetta & tempura prawns) were both nice enough, but the roast was pretty underwhelming sadly. The beef was a little on the tough side but the roast potatoes were even tougher, felt like they’d been sat under a heat lamp for ages and not crispy at all, just hard. The cauli cheese was tasty. Slightly disappointed with the food, but the service was good and it’s always nice to not have to cook a Sunday dinner yourself so there’s that!

Came because they had a cheese and onion pie to go with the sunday roast which is very good for me as a vegetarian.. the pie has hardly any onion aswell which is a massive plus for me. It is perfect. The beer I had was speiegelau, which I've never seen anywhere before and was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. 45 minute drive away and totally worth it.

We parked no problems the pub was uncomfortable busy standing room only. The bar staff were good no worries getting your drinks the food was excellent presentation and quality. Our only issue was the noise levels you couldn't have a conversation round the table. I understand that you need people to get atmosphere but you couldn't move.

A gem of a country pub serving splendid pub classics and some modern additions to. We visited at Sunday lunch so I ordered the cheese and onion pie with all the trimmings which included a fine Yorkshire pudding with vegetarian gravy. There's enough on the menu to please everyone. The pub itself is a fine old building with exposed beams and plenty of tables and seating All the staff were most helpful and friendly too. I'd book ahead for a Sunday.

A Gem in Oldham: The Farrars Arms (4.5 stars) Tucked away in Oldham, The Farrars Arms is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. With a rating of 4.5 stars, it's no surprise this place is a local favorite. My experience certainly lived up to the hype! First Impressions: The pub itself has a charming atmosphere. It balances a traditional pub feel with a modern touch, creating a warm and inviting space. The staff were fantastic from the get-go. Friendly and attentive, they made us feel welcome and helped navigate the menu. Be warned though, booking a table is a must! The place was buzzing on a weeknight, so planning ahead is key. Food for the Soul: Onto the main event - the food! The menu offered a great selection of dishes, with something to please every palate. I opted for the pepperoni pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. My friends went for the Rag pudding and the Cheese and Bacon burger, they were equally impressed. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, leaving us perfectly satisfied. A Memorable Evening: Overall, The Farrars Arms exceeded expectations. The delicious food, friendly service, and lively atmosphere made for a truly enjoyable evening. A word of advice: definitely book a table in advance, and be prepared to be impressed! This is a place I'll definitely be revisiting soon. Minor Nibble: The only slight downside was having to book in advance due to how busy they were. While it's a testament to their popularity, it might not be ideal for those who prefer a more spontaneous dining experience. Final Verdict: Despite needing a reservation, The Farrars Arms is a must-try for anyone in the Oldham area. With fantastic food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere, it's easy to see why it's a local favorite. 4.5 stars out of 5! Gemini may display inaccurate info, including about people, so double-check its responses. Y

The food is excellent, delicious pub grub plus other modern choices and incredible pizzas. The traditional Sunday roast lunch is not to be missed, the option of pies ‘with all the trimmings’ is amazing. The bar team are phenomenal, friendly, welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Surroundings are traditional with lots of character, very clean, lots of happy people in there, well-kept beer and dog friendly too, what’s not to like…?

We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon and had about a five minute wait for our pre-booked table which I would really recommend as they were very busy . We skipped starters as the portions looked big and it was a good plan. We had the Roast Lamb , which was perfectly cooked, and I had the unusual Cheese and Onion Pie Sunday roast. The pie was superb and so rich with perfect pastry. The roast potatoes were very good as was the rest of the vegetables and a good Yorkshire. The gravy was excellent too. Nice pint of Lees and a good Malbec. Friendly service too and we cannot wait to go back.

I went to this pub for the first time last Friday. The portions are substantial without compromising on quality. I had fish and chips, the fish was gigantic and beautifully cooked... I then shared an equally sizeable sticky toffee pudding which was divine. To cap it all the service was exceptional; the female who served us was attentive and carried the biggest of smiles. Not been in years and decided to try after rave reviews. Food is great but they haven’t got the balance right between being a restaurant and a drinking pub. We were having dinner while sport was being played in a way where people were watching over us. Not the vibe I want for what is marketed as a premium place to dine. Will try again but will avoid the evening.

I found this pub through a Google search and thought I'd give it a try, I wanted to go somewhere not on my doorstep for a change and was glad I did. It's a nice looking pub on the outside but there's a few steep steps up to the door that my Nan struggled with (not sure if there's another way in) There is a nice size car park straight across the road for drivers. On the inside you can tell it's an old pub , I prefer an old pub to a newer type, they're just cosier. It's a bit tired looking on the inside decor wise but nothing much (I do recommend new laminated menus though). If your going in to watch sport there's plenty of tvs about but not blaring so don't worry if your not, it won't spoil your visit. The food was served quickly and it was really nice , good portion sizes too. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we were provided with food boxes to take left overs home. Like everywhere else at the moment the prices were a little high but I'd rather pay what they need to keep the pub open rather than it have to close down , we should all keep that in mind. Nice friendly atmosphere. Staff were really nice and helpful. The best thing for me was the fact they allowed dogs. I can't leave him on his own so I very rarely get to go out anywhere, I'm sure there are many more in my situation who would love to support our pubs but can't. So thanks to the Farrars Arms I got to go out and have a lovely birthday meal with my family,Thank You. 100% recommended 👍😊

Warm welcome from the friendly lady single handedly running the bar, taking food orders, running around manically and pretty much everything else (apart from the cooking, which was handled superbly we thought by the chef in the open kitchen) Place was fairly busy and thought we'd have to wait a while for our food but surprisingly we didn't. We sat at a table that hadn't been cleaned and some side plates that were brought to our table were still dirty with old food stuck on them, maybe because there was only one chef, one server...maybe someone phoned in sick hey? Food well presented and tasty, I had the flavoursome Steak, Stilton and ale pie with superb mushy peas and my wife had the burger which she said was only disappointingly average, I tried one of the patties and she was right. We also had a lovely starter of garlic pizza bread and cheese and a couple of drinks each which came to just short of fifty quid, not bad really in this day and age. The TVs, that there were four of, were overbearing and distracting and ruined the ambience but we were in a pub after all but the attempt to make it a restaurant, gastro pub and bar seemed somewhat muddle up. Would we go again? Maybe not if they're short staffed like this.

Discovered the Hidden Garden over a year ago now and it’s one of my favourite places to go. Great coffee (no additional charges for milk alternatives), beautiful views and dog friendly! The little treats they serve your dog are an added bonus (no charge either!) my pooch loves a visit. We have been in all weathers, although most of the seating area is outside there are some wonderful covered nooks to curl up with blankets galore and even a pizza stove burning logs to keep you warm in the winter. The cakes and food are delicious and the additional pop up food stalls they host are brilliant. Highly recommend for a cosy catch up away from the high street bustle.

Good food and drinks here. The staff are attentive and friendly. The location is convenient with parking close by. Millie looked after us very well. The high ceilings, outside spaces and dog friendly nature of the coffee house were the main draw but the Quesadillas are superb. Surprised it was so quiet on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Maybe the locals keep this gem a secret so they can always get a table. Joking apart I ll be back to try the chocolate Guinness cake .

Stopped to have a glance at the menu as decided on Sunday breakfast out. Chatting away to a chap, the owner I think, made to feel very welcome. Good choice of different dishes, decided on the Rarebit and "A Bit Of Both On Toast", which was lovely cheese and homemade baked beans. Both were delicious and good coffee to boot. And our furry companions loved the fussing and the doggie menu! Planning a return visit soon for Sunday lunch!
