Before going on holiday to Poznan my twin brother Stephen and I decided to have a day out in Liverpool City Centre visiting some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for ,one pub we dropped into was The Newington Temple Pub ,a pub I always enjoy visiting ,it's a pub that's been around for many years ,I can remember when it was called The Old Rope Walks Pub many years ago, great pub then ,great pub now. I love the look of the pub ,interior is cosy ,a cool looking serving bar ,tv's to enjoy the sport ,two roomed and despite it's relatively small size there's lots of seating options both inside and outside ,it's just a great pub to chill out in. We were here on a Friday afternoon, pub was busy ,a good vibe ,we ordered a guinness each ,poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular city centre pub. My guinness was really good ,thick, creamy ,bursting with taste and served freezing cold ,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a really good pint of the black stuff. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a wonderful time. The Newington Temple Pub is easy to locate just off Bold Street on Newington. Opening hours Are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday till late . A great pub ,one is highly recommend you seek out if you're in the area ( Rope Walks District ).

What an evening on 8th April. Not only did the brill dj play some Johnny Guitar Watson at this friendly venue, but after leaving my mob on the bar we went home, and some incredibly honest person handed it in and I’ve just got it back next morning. THANK YOU Temple Bar, THANK YOU honest person. It’s Liverpool so not surprised at all.

Newington Temple is a decent bar that's in a lively area of the city centre that offer's a decent range of well priced drinks and can be found on Newington. Newington Temple has a cosy interior with nice decor and furnishing's with very good seating options throughout the bar interior and limited outside seating. We visited here in the evening and this bar was very busy. When we visited there wasn't a massive choice of beer's so we opted for a few glasses of Guinness which where first rate and well priced. I don't normally drink in bar's like this as we are real ale drinkers but we visited here for a few cask ales. They usually have a couple of cask ales on but on our visit to this place they weren't on. That aside it's a decent bar in an excellent area of the city centre and is only a couple of minutes walk Central train station.(This is my first review of Newington Temple). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-12.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-12.00-01.00. Sunday-12.00-00.00. Public Transport. Train Station. Central train station.

Just off Bold Street on Newington is The Newington Temple Pub, a pub I always enjoy visiting whenever I'm in this part of town. This is a very cool and historic pub ,formally The Old Rope Walks Pub which harks back to the days when the ropes that rigged out the ships were made in this district of Liverpool namely Ropewalks District, back breaking, soul destroying work . The pub itself is superb, a lovely interior, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, wonderful decor and furnishings, great wall art and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Bold Street. We were here on a glorious sunny afternoon, shorts and short sleeve weather,we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table outside were a very pleasant member of the bar team took our order of a pale ale each, we chose pale ales from Camden Town Brewery, served in pristine condition, we soaked up the sun 🌞while sipping our pale ale's 🍻. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale with a big hit of hops, hints of toffee and a delicious aroma, very easy to drink and on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew. We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on every other visit to The Newington Temple Pub we had a very positive experience. The Newington Temple Pub is easy to locate along Newington. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Midday till 2am. A wonderful pub, most definitely well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

One of my favourite pubs in the Ropewalks District is The Newington Temple Pub ( formerly The Old Ropewalks Pub ) a wonderful pub that I always look forward to visiting. This is a wonderful traditional pub ,the interior is superb, the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, nice wall art, great decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Newington. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we track and traced, we luckily managed to get an outside table ( outside seating till the 17th of May ) ,a very pleasant member of the staff took our order of a guinness each, these were served in excellent condition,we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My guinness was absolutely amazing, a rich, creamy and most importantly iced cold guinness bursting with taste, very easy to drink, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and to be honest socialising again albeit socially distanced. We really enjoyed our guinness in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another guinness each before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Newington Temple is an excellent pub on Newington just off Bold street and is an excellent place for cask and craft beer and is a cask accredited pub.The interior of the Newington Temple is superb with a chilled back look and feel and excellent seating in this compact pubs interior but importantly at the moment this pub has outside bench and table seating.as since May the 17th all the hospitality sector are only permitted to have outside table service. The building this pub is in now has housed a few pubs over the year's such as The Old Rope Walks and one called Bier but I must say this was better than the other pub's by a long way. We went here after going to a few pubs on Mathew street and the Cavern Quarter and as we were in this area decided to go for a few pints in here.We gave all our track and trace details and took a seat in the outside service area and ordered a couple of pint's of Guinness wbich where superb and price wise what I would expect to pay in a pub in this area of the city centre. This is a fantastic pub and is worth visiting as the drink's selection is superb and there outside table service is really good and the pub is in a very lively area of the city centre and is easy to locate.Look out for the Bold street exit sign in Central train station turn left and walk down Bold street then take a left on Newington a short walk (This is my second review of the Newington Temple). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-12.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-12.00-01.00. Sunday-12.00-00.00. Hours May Differ From Above Due To The Covid 19 Restrictions). Nearest Bus Stop. Upper Newington bus stop. Prime Minister Boris laid out the roadmap out of the pandemic with pubs being allowed to reopen on the 12th of April with outside service only and from the 17th of May inside and outside service allowed and by June 21st more or less back to normality so it will be so good to visit pubs such as The Newington Temple Pub,a pub I always enjoy visiting. I love visiting this pub, the interior is superb, wonderful decor and furnishings, great wall art adorning the walls, a cute looking serving bar and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, a wonderful pub to unwind in. Our last visit here saw my twin brother Stephen and I enjoying some great real ale's, staff superb, prices very fair and atmosphere very laid back,we had a great time here and when the 3rd and final lockdown is lifted eagerly look forward to visiting The Newington Temple Pub again hopefully in April but definitely in May. Disappointed is too weak a word. Salmon and scrambled eggs is a pretty simple ensemble to rustle up but unfortunately the chef burnt the eggs and the salmon was well past its use by date. At least they know how to toast bread. Told what appeared to be the manager when she enquired was everything ok and she took plate away without reply. Still paid the bill of course. Won’t be back.
