Cafe Tabac in Liverpool

Lovely little cafe we found but sadly the poached eggs were hard boiled eggs 😩

I love Tabac, a true jewel in the crown of Bold St, such a cosy atmosphere and a fascinating history. Long may Tabac reign!

Only issue was the guy kept turning the lights up where we were sat which was kinda ruining the atmosphere but otherwise it was a great little evening. Do love it in tabac

Lovely quiet breakfast at the top of Bold Street with a view of the Bombed out church if you sit outside. Really nice vibe especially on a warm sunny morning 🌄 if you sit outside. Inside the cafe its nice and light due to the glass front. Not too busy although by 10am it had liven up somewhat. Table service was quick and breakfast served within 10 to 15 minutes. I needed 2 tables due to doing some work too. The waitress was more than happy and suggested pushing them together. The tables are quite small but designed for small meals really. The food was really nice and the poached eggs still hot on arrival which is tricky. Portion size was more than acceptable too in this instance. I really enjoyed my experience. Thanks

The breakfast was excellent.... my husband and I ordered a large breakfast plus extra toast ...and shared ... Will go again for sure.

We bring our puppy here , he absolutely loves it. The staff are the kindest girls ever and fuss over him , definitely the best cafe in Liverpool , they make you feel so welcome. Food and drinks are lovely and they even have water and pupachinos 🐶

Nice little bar but didn't do food at half 6 on a Saturday night so was a little disappointed

Always come here for a bacon sandwich. Great authentic cafe with down to earth staff, great prices and a great vibe. Cafe Tarbac has been a fixture in the city for many years - long May it continue.

This is a favourite of mine. Lovely, lovely place with amazing staff and the most amazing cocktails! An absolute gem on Bold Street! The decor, music and ambience is second to none. Can't wait to visit again.

This place has been going for years. Came in recently for a coffee, ended up staying for two, will be back to try the food soon.

My husband and I visited Tabac for a coffee and cake, we enjoyed the ambience and the atmosphere has a cool vibe. The most enjoyable part was the delightful waitress Abi ( I am sure that was her name, lovely young lady) who served us cake with a smile, thank you! 🥰 … will definitely return.

My fantastic Wife and I went with her oldest daughter and our Golden Retriever Howie. We did not reserve and were served with friendly and efficient staff. This place is highly recommended because we were served quickly. The food was extra good tasting and they had many yummy cakes, can recommend Oreo brownie. Excellent value for money and the place has a proud history. Also great if you have a dog

Me and my sister came for a breakfast. 2 of everything (minus my eggs because of my allergy), was much cheaper than anywhere around us and really good. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a breakfast in the centre of Liverpool.

Went to this cafe after exploring chinatown. Can't forget how delicious their meals are as well as their coffee. Great service too!

It’s a lovely place, only a few second walk away from Chinatown - I had the full English breakfast with tea, and it was good! Everything on the breakfast plate was cooked to perfection, and I didn’t have any complaints with it. However, this cafe’s wifi wasn’t working as should - I had tried to connect to its wifi but to no avail. I’m not sure if it’s just my phone that was acting off on that day, but I still would recommend this place!

I’m writing this on behalf on dad and his good friend Angela. Leo and Abbie were amazing, the food was great and the ambiance was lovely. They were very impressed they will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone young or old.

Great little cafe. Called for breakfast on a quiet Saturday morning. Served by a lovely friendly waitress. Been here several times for breakfast or drinks and always been happy with the food and service. Highly recommend the Nutella/banana pancakes! Best I’ve had!

Kids decided they wanted to go back to The Tebac. Again couldn’t fault it. Friendly attentive staff, quick service and the best bowl of Scouse I’ve ever had. Highly recommend

We’ve seen the cocktail deal and we came for one drink, the staff ( Mike & Maria) we’re so friendly and attentive we felt like we were at home so we stayed and brought more, all were delicious, the room back is cosy and inviting. Small intimate space with the best hospitality experience will be recommending to all friends and family, thanks for having us

Really enjoyed my visit to Tabac as always - It can be intimidating going into a busy cafe solo but the staff are so friendly it really isn't an issue! Excellent service, lovely food and drinks and delightful vibes. Abbie and Saff were spot on! 10/10, will be back x

Lovely greeting by all staff, the vibe in this place is great full of the right crowd ! The coffees we’re not much to much but the cup n saucer we’re beautiful, The wait was quite long I know it was new years but was quite awhile, we unfortunately got passed the hunger and I ordered the chicken burger and it wasn’t what I expected and it tasted not so good but the whole 4 stars go to one of the ladies on the floor Abbey I’m sure her name was she is a star ! Accommodating to its finest she’s great

100000/10 I booked the cinema room in the back as a surprise for my partners 30th (9/12/23) birthday, there was a bit of a miscommunication on dates, I wanted Saturday 9th of Dec but staff thought I asked for September 9th and obviously booking out a whole room at Xmas time isnt the best; but Abbie was an absolute pro, she shuffled things around and got me booked in on the Sunday as a compromise. Abbie was so helpful, lovely and just a bloomim super star, I anxious emailed to clarify things and she just was so sweet 🌟 The day went so smooth thanks to Lili, Abbie, Saff, Samya and Amelia- they couldn't have been more lovely and helpful, all the folks attending just thought they were the best, it was busy while we were there and they were rocking it, and still pushed the boat out to make it a special day 💚 My partner was jus over the moon, everyone who came to surprise him had an absolute ball, and they want to do it again for their own family! Can't reccomend tabac and it's staff enough! For folks looking to celebrate in a different way, the movie space is so GOOD, with loads of different movie options!! Thank you so much gals! 💚

Lovely spot. Well cooked full breakfast with perfectly poured pint. You can tell a lot about a place by seeing how they treat their more eccentric customers. While I was there I witnessed a type of kindness towards a patron that seems to me to be less common nowadays. Maybe it's just a Liverpool thing but whatever it is keep up the good work.

I adore this wunderful place and have eaten here for decades. I love the food, drink, atmosphere and most importanrly the staff!! The background music was bangin!! Brought back tonnes of memories. Had lunch with 1 of my favourite people and both dishes on point (I had scouse and she had a cheese and onion omelette), accompanied by a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. Again I inquired about Rita's Goulash 1 and that it was one of the best dishes on the original menu! The server said she'd ask/suggest this to the chef(s). Such a delightful establishment with a phenomenal cultural history. Thank you Tabac for always being there 💜

Tabac is a Liverpool institution. Been going for years and never had a bad experience. Always a great atmosphere and top notch service. Can’t recommend it though.

Staff member serving us was really friendly but unfortunately a bad experience for us. Ordered 2 portions of halloumi fries in which we found 3 hairs wravelled right into our food not realising til we had eaten half of them so had probably consumed more...

I go here like at least once a week, it’s fantastic and cheep and the best cafe in Liverpool, the staff are all the most friendly people and the food never fails to hit the spot no matter what you get, completely worth it

Staff completely useless and run around like a load of headless chickens pretending to be busy with absolutely no leadership visible what so ever. None of the food that I ordered was correct, I had ordered a vegetarian meal and instead a plate of chicken and chips arrived and their “cod goujons” were simply frozen bird’s eye fish fingers and when staff were made aware of this, they took no accountability for their mistake and were extremely rude. So we left having ate nothing and were lucky to have gotten a refund because the young lad that served us was incredibly reluctant to give us one and if the girl on shift that day hadn’t stepped in I doubt I would have got a penny back. Save yourself the hassle and get yourself an American pizza slice, they’re next door but one to cafe Tupac!

Unbelievably slow service and 3 out of 4 orders wrong.

A little wary after reading the reviews but arrived at 9 am yesterday for breakfast. Cheery greeting from all the staff. Great service. The full english was FULL. Two eggs,two sausage, two bacon, black pudding, mushroom, tomato, beans and a hash brown. All perfect. Very happy. Going again today!

Rude staff won't be back, brought us tea at one point with no cups, 10 mins later asked for some and was given attitude. Food was decent though.

Breakfast: The food is delicious here. I had a full English (£10.95) cooked to perfection. The staff are very nice. I’m happy I came. Nice music. Recommend. Service can be a little slow. You know how service oriented we Americans are.!

Been going to this bar for 20 years plus. Doesn’t matter though as never the same staff to know you are a regular. Board states 2 cocktails for £12 but doesn’t state times. Think that’s bad advertisement- trading standards anyone? Staff couldn’t care less. Sad...

One of the best English breakfast places in Liverpool

Amazing brunch spot with excellent food and music. The vibe is great. Staff were friendly. They even serve booze with a full English. The Guinness is good (and I'm a fussy Irish guy). The only thing I'd recommend changing is adding a vegetarian breakfast with modern vegetarian sausages (like Richmonds). Still deserves 5 stars though.

Came in with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed this place, a nice and relaxed vibe, they did a really nice pint of Aspall Cider which went down really well. The staff were lovely, friendly and very attentive, definitely will be coming back! Keep it up!! 🥰

The food was worth 4 stars, nicely presented and good value, but check your bill. We were charged for TWO extra items! I could be kind and think it was a mistake. I'm sure it wasn't so 2 stars only.

Cosy little cafe bar situated at the top of Bold Street. Great feel to the place with a fantastic range of tasty cocktails. The Espresso Martini was probably the best I've ever tasted! Been here a couple of times now and it's becoming a favourite space to visit!
