Great food here... Have been here many times for breakfast and it always hits the spot! Service always good and atmosphere is spot on!

Came here for breakfast today. Coffee and food were outstanding. Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Massive serving. Definitely one of the best in the city French toast. Lovely sweet breakfast, cooked to perfection with fresh raspberries and amazing mascapone cream. Smashed avo with poached eggs fresh and filling, avo was smashed perfectly no lumps or bumps Mushrooms on toast with eggs and a side of hash browns. Was a delight 4 amazing meals. Coffee was outstanding as usual. Recommend the mocha

absolutely incredible!! the staff were so friendly and the food was some of the best we've had - we live near newcastle but said we'd honestly consider the train journey back down to liverpool just to visit bold street coffee again :P

I had heard good reviews of Bold Street Coffee but I found it to be a massive let-down. Not only was it quite expensive but I also found my order to be disappointing. My overpriced sausage butty was below average. They made the cardinal error of putting the sausages onto the bread whole, rather than cutting them in half, lengthways. This meant that every time I tried to take a bite a sausage would slip out of the sandwich like a bar of soap! My rather bitter coffee was lukewarm too, rounding off a underwhelming breakfast. On the plus side, the decor is good but I certainly won't be coming back in a hurry.

The food is overpriced,cold but aesthetically pleasing,i visited around 2 years ago when a young chef worked there,that’s when i’d say the food was outstanding,however this time it was different. The coffee was pretty good,and the atmosphere is okay when it isn’t overly crowded,which it is most of the time it seems.

The cold brew is a little bland but the service is great!

Delicious flat white, with a great coffee taste and pretty latte art. I had the hot cross bun French toast, and it was delicious! It wasn’t oily at all. It was served with chocolate sauce and maple syrup, neither of which were needed as it was so delicious. My partner had the mushroom toast with poached eggs and loved it. Really friendly staff. Fast service. Dog friendly.

The food was decent, but the portions were disappointingly small for the price. Definitely felt overpriced for what you get.

The nicest and closest coffee I can get to Australia. Food is really nice and always a spot I take visiting friends and family. Service is exceptional and Alisha who served me today is no exception, polite, friendly and welcoming!

Flat white and bacon buoy for breakfast. Coffee was smooth and nutty. loved it. The bacon buoy was okay. But, not super special.

I came in for a coffee and the girls behind the counter were really friendly and nice, explained the coffees and allowed me to have a taster. Got my coffee and went on my way, immediately dropped it and spilt it everywhere! Came back and Meg sorted it and didn’t charge me for a replacement, made my day! Definitely recommend, thanks again Meg 😇

Really friendly, quick service with impeccable hash browns

We ate same breakfast yesterday in front of this place. And it was quite big porsion with lower price. This place gives less porsion, against that i paid almost 2£ more.

I came in because of the slogan in the window(filter coffee, not people) and thoroughly enjoyed the latte and the service. Laosi and Kaylie took great care of me and even helped me with some dinner suggestions.

Nice drinks, outside seating on bold street. Very busy and a bit loud/crowded inside on a Saturday. Matcha latte with oat milk was very nice and not too sweet. Toilets inside and more downstairs seating. Nice place for a drink.

En este caso me alegro de haberlo visitado. El café era muy agradable. El precio era comparable a las cadenas de café y restaurantes. No pedí comida, ya que ya había comido en otro lugar poco tiempo antes de mi visita. Sin embargo, los elementos del menú parecían atractivos, así que podría probar algo de la comida en una visita futura. El ambiente era agradable y el personal era agradable y acogedor.

Good service, good atmosphere and fantastic coffee. I stopped by twice during my stay in Liverpool and overall I do like the place, the coffee is proper good and worth coming back for.

Visited many times before however my last visit was absolutely shocking. I understand the cafe was busy but we were sat downstairs, which is fine, however the smell from the (very unclean) toilets was very strong. I ordered pancakes, a side of 2 hash browns and a Diet Pepsi, which somehow came to nearly £20, which was absolutely extortionate. The menu advertised the Diet Pepsi however, when I went to the fridge it was a knockoff, that tasted very strange. The rest of the food was okay but for £20 I’d have expected better. Overall, the quality has completely dropped and the prices are extortionate. Not planning on visiting again

It immediately reminded me of the local coffee shops in Portland, Oregon, with its warm ambiance, friendly baristas, and a focus on great coffee rather than unnecessary frills. I went for a Batch Coffee, and it was smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor—exactly what I look for in a solid, no-nonsense cup of coffee. No bitterness, just a rich and satisfying brew that showcases their dedication to quality beans and proper brewing techniques. As for food, I tried the Egg Buoys, and they were spot-on. The eggs were fluffy, the bread was fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a satisfying, hearty breakfast that paired perfectly with the coffee. It’s the kind of meal that feels simple yet crafted with care, much like the best coffee shops back in Portland. The overall experience was great—whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to sit down and enjoy your morning. The space has that mix of minimalist design and cozy charm, making it feel welcoming without trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Not the greatest place on bold street- coffee was severed pretty cold and they charged a whopping £2 for a babychino!! Definitely not going there again.

Great breakfast and top notch coffee

Been here twice. Two weeks apart and both times I ordered a cappuccino and got a flat white. Second time I went to say something but barista was rude. Expensive.

A lot of places serving great coffee can be a bit cold, intimidating, even rude to those who aren't wannabe Q graders... but this is Liverpool. Want to ask a question about origins and grinds, these guys know everything, want some silly milk based drink with a dash of coffee, they won't say no or make you feel like an idiot for ordering it. (I'm not so charitable) Although I come here every time I visit town, this week was the first time I tried the food. It was great. Whether you want some antipodean style avo and eggs combo, something light and healthy, or just a good old fry up, they do it and do it well. This place has everything, and I never leave without getting some beans. They've even done some special deals and things that I won't detail lest the rest you annoy the staff with requests they did as one time favours. Tl;dr, firstly I'm the wrong reviewer for you. Secondly, this is the coffee shop against which all other coffee shops should be measured

The Perfect Start to Our Liverpool Trip This was the first place we visited when we arrived in Liverpool, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic,fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon, delicious French toast, and a hearty, traditional breakfast that was just what we needed. Everything was cooked perfectly and so satisfying. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome right away. A great spot to kick off our time in Liverpool,highly recommend!

Friendly staff. Came for coffee and cake. Was busy when we came and had a bit of a wait to get seated. My cappuccino was served in a small cup which had a non existent handle so had to hold the cup with both hands to drink. I have small hands too but couldn't even get my pinky through the handle 😂 we came early afternoon but they were out of most of the sweet treats. Opted for banana bread as I didn't fancy paying £4 for a glazed donut which I regretted. The banana bread was bland.

Coffee was great and I really appreciated that oat milk wasn't extra which is rare! Staff were friendly But I didn't enjoy the bacon buoy, brioche was over toasted and burnt on the inside ate the filling left nearly all the brioche, told the waitress but she just told me the 'toaster was a bit powerful'. disappointing for the price, maybe fix the toaster?

Debe haberlos conseguido en un mal día - 5 de nosotros llamamos para hacer el brunch pidiendo 4 x BSC Frys y 1 huevo en tostadas, así que bastante sencillo. Después de bastante espera, nos sirvieron y para todos nosotros lo que recibimos fue en el mejor de los casos cálido. La persona que nos sirvió se disculpó y dijo que su plato más caliente o algo se rompió, pero no hizo ningún intento de rectificar la situación. Como era una mañana muy fría y teníamos que estar en algún lugar más tarde, comimos lo que obtuvimos, frijoles fríos, salchichas agradables pero frías, tocino frío, pero los huevos eran un no, no! Así como que los cafés recibidos también estaban tibios. . . Lamento mucho haber pagado algo (y no era barato! ) pero sin duda nunca volveré de nuevo

I went here first just for coffee but we came back the next day for food. The pancakes and bacon we're delicious and everyone was delighted with the service and atmosphere. Downstairs can be really quiet but upstairs is really nice.

Found Bold Street Coffee while here on my studies from America. I will say it did not disappoint. I came here pretty much everyday and always got the same thing which was the sausage buoy with a side of hashbrowns. The food never disappointed. Matt and the rest of the staff were always amazing and it really was a home away from home. Thank you for everything guys. Alexander

I served a filter coffee, very good, I couldn't find much around town. I liked it a lot, I couldn't really stay long in the cafe, but it looks nice.

Went for brunch on Friday 6/12/24 this is another gem on Bold Street. Yes I had my pancakes and omg I was not disappointed at all, they were lovely and so filling, the staff were amazing as well. I will definitely be back

The cappuccino was nice but we also ordered pancakes with bacon and marple syrup, the portion was really tiny for the 13.65 pounds I paid. If the portions were bigger it would be really nice and I dont think it would cost anything to them!

Really pleasant visit to BSC, came over from Manchester to Liverpool to meet up with family, greeted by smiling,friendly staff. Very tasty coffee served promptly and again with a smile. Nice to see staff happy at work.

Visited this place after a great recommendation from a regular customer. Didn't disappoint. Although it was very busy we were greeted at the door by a friendly chap (nice touch) and quickly found a seat. Table emptied and cleaned as we sat down which we appreciated (I'm always unpleasantly surprised that so many places don't do this and you have to clear it yourself or sit with someone else's leftovers before any staff member attends). Great choice of coffees and quality was top draw (natch), food was fresh, tasty and quick to our table. All in all a very pleasant experience. Shout out to the staff (sorry, didn't get names) who, although run off their feet were smiley and engaging. Worthy of five stars!
