Really nice proper pub, went in last Saturday evening for a few pints and was met with outstanding service and a very warm welcome from the landlord and the bar staff, would definitely recommend!!!!

Free pool, good people and good service. Highly recommend.

Constantly changing owners as lead to the demise of this place, loads of room for improvement and I believe the current owners will get it right as they appear to be putting the effort in the past public and haven’t

Possibly the worst tapas food I've ever had. Potato braves were burnt and tasted warmed up with a tin of chopped tomatoes poured over which were bitter and unedable. The meatballs were like the ones from IKEA. No herbs or garlic used. Very bland. Definitely not chef food.

Wouldn't recommend eating here. Disappointed

It was a gender reveal party it was a great night but very cramped not much room to move but everyone managed but could have needed a bigger room

Had the fish and chips on Friday and it was gorgeous. The batter was cooked beautifully on two substantially sized fish and the plate was presented lovely. The only downside was that the plate was cold and the room wasn't too warm either. Would definitely go again though, and wear a thicker jumper!

Food was OK and reasonably priced

The guy serving me was very polite and helpful, the meal took a while to arrive. But the food itself wasn't too bad, in my opinion I felt the chips could of been cooker more.

Great steak very generous portions and a great price everything was cooked to perfection all staff really friendly thank you!

Nice pub atmosphere with a popular Sunday dinner

Went in for Mother’s Day, a party of 10, the food was lovely and the waiting staff were polite and friendly. Complements to everyone it was lovely, will definitely be back

No opening times for food sadly and it seemed to go off by 5.30 on a Sunday. disappointed unfortunately

Treated my mum to tea and myself to tea the food was extremely nice the best iv had in a very long time and it was better than some of the restaurants and truck stop iv eaten out off from up and down the uk and Ireland

It's about 12 year's since I've been in this pub, and I'm glad we called in very nicely decorated well stocked bar, even though we didn't eat the food smelt good, we will be back and hopefully try something to eat.

Tried phoning 6 times no response turned up to be told there not doing food heard good reports about the place and the food got to make a better effort through social media to let people know

Went for tapas with a group of work friends and was not left disappointed! They put a tapas buffet on for us which included starters of salami, Spanish ham, olives, pitta, sundried tomatoes and salsa, followed by gambas pil pil, chorizo, patatas bravas, Meatballs and two types of chicken and garlic bread! Food was absolutely spot on and they accommodated a lady who had a gluten intolerance, she was well impressed! Only thing I'm upset about is not taking a pic!

We booked using the number on this site. The number is no longer used and no confirmation was received. We arrived half early to be to it has had 3 new managers since Jan and on new number was put on this site. The chef said we could sit in the vault and we were happy to do, on receiving our food 5 out of the 6 that were eating complained the food was cold. We ask if could have it reheated in the microwave not new plates as the chef had squash us in. We were shout at from across the room that there were 9 not 6 ??? And we were squeeze us in ??

Meal arrived cold. No puddings. Service slowEverything seamed to much. Didn't feel welcome. Won't be back

Clean and well maintained ,staff I spoke to good and approachable good pint. Better than quite a few pubs who serve sour beer at full prices in my area, if my money is good beer and service should be otherwise I go here not there.

We went last night and all three meals were excellent, very large portions and hot and tasty. The chef and staff were lovely and will definitely go back again. 10/10

Visited for the first time today, was just looking to somewhere local for lunch and previous reviews said the pie was good. We received a warm welcome and great service, the food was very good but the pie was excellent, as good as anywhere you'll find in Tameside.We will definitely be back again, apparently the Lasagne is excellent too!

Visited today for Sunday lunch expecting typical pub food, how wrong we were, the meal was superb, all fresh, not a frozen veg in sight, lovely roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and succulent gravy, only complaint was the roast potatoes, could have eaten twice as many they were so nice.Will definitely be returning very soon

What a lovely pub an excellent meals at the lodge in Dukinfield. The lady behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly .I had the pate starter which was a generous portion and hot sliced rolls etc.main was beef and ale pie chips and peas on hot plate delious and my friend had the burger she said it waz excellent. Definitely will be back and would recommend

Class pub. Great Beer, with clean maintained pump lines. Food was top class also. Staff attentive and respectful to customer service.

The landlord Paul is a good bloke makes everyone feel welcome will definitely be going back to try the food

Had some difficulty accessing the pub with my mobility scooter but was pleased we managed it because we experienced a warm friendly welcome and the food was delicious

Nice clean place,one cask ale on which was nice so we both had fish and chips which was very nice apart from the chewy batter

The food may be classed as traditional homemade pub grub. But it is more like restaurant standard.There as often been 20 of us including children and the professional, friendly staff always go out of their way to accommodate our needs. You know how awkward kids can be, saying I don’t want beans, pea’s etc. There is a good choice on the menu homemade e.g Fish and Chips, hand made pies, chicken, burgers, Lasagna, curry etc. Plus a healthy choice menu for those who are counting the calories.Great kids menu. Lovely Desserts.Always freshly cooked and delicious.Great value for money.I would advise to book in advance as always gets booked up quickly, especially for there Sunday Roast as it gets very busy. It is proper fresh meat’s and veggies.The quiz night on a Thursday is a fabulous night. Great atmosphere and free chip butty.They televise all live sports in the tap room and have a pool table.There is a car park at the rear which is a bonus.

Pub grub at its worst cold gravy on a baguette waited 50 minutes

Called in this sunday afternoon for a meal without booking first but was very luck to find one where a couple had just left. Food was hot and very tasty. Staff very friendly. Will book a table on advance next time. Heather/Mike

Would be a nice pub with nice staff and nice atmosphere, if not for a minority of trouble-making regulars. Unfortunately, I cannot give a higher review to somewhere I won't go in again for fear of getting my "head smashed in" or whatever it is I was threatened with for no good reason.

Went to this pub for a birthday great atmosphere the staff helpful and friendly the toilets very clean with vanity products for the Ladies nice touch. The landlord really nice had a few nice cask ales as well as the usual largers and spirits. Will defiantly be going again when i visit Hyde.

New management I think. It was left a message but is getting better every week. Pleasant atmosphere last night. Got busier at 9.30 ish. Hope it's going to get back to how it should be. Nice place.

Regulars get served first regardless of how long you stand at the bar, had to walk out and go elsewhere. Get served quicker in Wetherspoons

Nice pub, good food, friendly atmosphere

Table booked for 1.30,arrived at 1.15, nothing set up at the tables. Sat down and after 20mins asked if we could order. 30mins later asked where our food was, was told it was being plated up. The food arrived after 10 mins, the stuffing balls were black and rock hard, the roast potatoes had been fried too long as well, the vegetables were half cooked. Asked for ground black pepper not the powder black pepper didn’t know what I meant. After 40 minutes of being ignored to clear away the plates I telephoned the pub and asked if they could please clear the table. They did and asked if everything was ok. I explained what was wrong. After another 20 mins we managed to get to order the sweet. When it arrived we were told that we would soon have to move as they needed the table, I responded that if we had been dealt with in an appropriate manner we would have finished a while ago. Upon asking for the bill I said that because we arrived at 1.15 and it was now 3.20 and we had waited an unacceptable long time and the food was not of a satisfactory standard .we would like a discount, we received 85p off the bill. The management must have been having a bad day or thought it was acceptable to treat customers in this manner. I have never had to leave a review like this before. Rather than put things right or accept this was a credible complaint the management acted with contempt for the customer, this is one local business I shall not be supporting.

Underwhelming. Left disappointed after my most recent visit. Quality of food was very poor and although cheap. I couldn't even call it value for money. Very nice pub with usual beer wines and spirits on offer. Two poor cask ale options. Landlord and doombar. Redeeming factor is quality of kids meals. It's a shame as I really like this pub, but won't be returning in a hurry.

Great food, good prices and atmosphere.

Visited on Mother's Day for a family meal, chose to have the Sunday roast, very good value at £7.25 with a choice of 4 meats, beef, chicken, pork or ham was spoilt for choice then told we could have 2 meats if we liked so went for beef and ham, both very nice and cooked really well. Came with Yorkshire Pud, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, stuffing ball, mash and roast spuds and gravy, really good. The only down side was we waited about 45 minutes from ordering till we got our food but we were a table of 6 and it was quite busy and it was Mother's Day but will definitely go back

Food at the Lodge in Dukinfield was as good as it always is cannot recommend this place enough.

I came with my husband and grandson for tea was disappointed that they still have no card machine. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately the barstaff and landlady drinking and eating whilst serving customers has put me off and it will be a while until I return.

Just got back from having a Sunday dinner and so glad we went. The roast beef dinner with all the trimmings was fantastic the beef was not the usual cateering stuff some places serve. The veg and Yorkshire pudding the same all served with gravy that must have been made with the meat juices with loads of flavour. As for the staff they were so friendly and helpful. All this with a well kept pint of cask ale. Only downfall with this place is that we left it this long to try it. Please try it but do book as it does get busy to avoid disappointment. To the landlady and staff thank you and will see you again very soon

Thought we would give it a shot so both my wife and I went on a Sunday at 6pm as I fancied a roast dinner. Not sure if it was because it was later in the day but to say that it was mediocre is an understatement. The mash was salty, beef was tasteless and my wife’s cheese and onion pie was dry, gluey and as if it had been cooked a week before. Now we’re not fussy just want a decent tasty meal for our hard earned cash, but unfortunately ‘another one bites the dust’ and we won’t be returning.

We live about 25 minutes drive away from this pub but it is our pub of choice for great well cooked food and friendly service. The Sunday lunches are excellent and everything else we have tried on the menu has been great. The deserts are excellent if you like a good old fashioned sponge and custard this is the place. It is advisable to book as there are limited tables and it does get full which is not surprising.

3 mains 3 desserts and 3 drinks for £40 ish pound which is great. Food was amazing cheese and onion pie is to die for and hunters chicken is brilliant. All the deserts were lovely to. Would definetly recomend this pub to eat.

Good choice beer good food what more do you want

I've found they sell mediocre beer. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place has a good atmosphere l. I have found the drinks to be well priced for the area, at about £2.80 a pint. It's ok if you're in the area but I'd not recommended making a special visit. I have not tried the food

Great food service was a bit slow but worth the wait. Portions are a good size & the place was clean & tidy.
