Excellent food, service and decor. Great value for money Sunday lunches, large portions and reasonable prices. Competitive beer pricing and good cocktail choices with local ingredients.

Really disappointed to have been charged almost double the price for using a table ( we sat outside). We visit Number Four regularly but usually get items to takeaway, however on this occasion we decided to sit outside as the sun was shining and all of the tables were free. When paying I was shocked to be charged £20 for 2 coffees, a pasty and a small steak pie. I asked if there had been a mistake but was informed that each item is priced higher as we were using a table. I understand a small surcharge but to be charged pretty much double is disgraceful. The coffee was poor and the pastry on both the pie and the pasty was soggy. We’ll be going elsewhere in the village in future.

Came here for bottomless brunch, one of the best we have had in town. To start with the food was good. And the drinks were plenty we were never left sat waiting with an empty glass like we have in other places. We are already to book up again!!!! Thank you for looking after us!!!!

Stopped in just after lunch for a sandwich and a cup of tea. The sandwich was lovely - really fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent. Plus they had an amazing selection of cakes available.

Great pub lush vibe staff are great 👍 and fun music is great live music is really good great choice of local bands

Had two Chicken parmo,s delivered and they were both fantastic, nice and hot and generous portions . Well recomended

Second time we have visited and stayed, everything about this place is amazing. Views, rooms and the food is to die for really can’t stress how fantastic this place is. Close to kielder observatory it’s a must visit

Had an excellent Sunday lunch in a comfortable pub with a log fire burning, staff very friendly, would definitely recommend.

I don't normally do reviews but I believe they deserved this 5 star. The food was absolutely delicious and one of the best food I've eaten in a pub. Reasonably priced and great friendly staff . Definitely worth coming down

Absolutely brilliant - home made fish & chips - fresh & delicious. We took two home made cakes away and they too were delicious. Well done 👍

Staff extremely friendly and attentive. We had starter and main which was excellent. The Carbonara was tasty, and creamy and the perfect portion size. The same for my friends Arriabata . Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Friendly, cozy restaurant. Highly recommended

We visited the bar as a family of 4 and a dog. We were only supposed to stay for a drink but ended up staying for a food and a long time. There was a big box of games, jigsaws and colouring books for the kids and even a dog bed and water bowls scattered around. The food was delicious, the children had make your own pizzas, and we had a flatbread with chicken tandoori and my husband had a chicken and leek pie. The staff were very helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. I can highly recommend. The room was stunning with all of the fairy lights, lovely venue.
