Had an amazing meal for our anniversary. From start to finish our waiter Mark was amazing. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend miller and carter .

It has been a while since we last visited Miller and Carter so decided to book a table for Saturday night. Last time we visited we were given a table right next to the Toilets so my view for the meal was people going in and out of the toilet. We arrived on time for our booking and this time we were led to a table right beside a serving station which was over following with used coffee cups, plates etc, staff were approaching this area constantly, not wanting this as my view and experience again, we asked if we could move tables, the member of staff didn't look very happy about it but did find us a better table. We were approached by our server, who was friendly throughout the meal and ordered our drinks although these took a while to arrive. We ordered our meals and the starters came promptly. We waited a long time for our mains but when they did arrive the food was delicious, we did think the portions were quite small for the price of them. On the website it says dining at Miller and Carter is a bit of a treat and many guests like to dress up and celebrate so there is a dress code, smart casual and no sportswear. This is the type of venue that appeals to us as we do like to dress up and go somewhere nice for a treat. However looking around us we could see people in jogging bottoms, trainers and hoodies, really felt like we were in a very expensive "spoons" This meal cost us around £100 so not cheap and we definitely left feeling disappointed.

Had the 16oz steak which was an offer,it was the best steak I have ever tasted,cooked to perfection.Attention to detail from the staff was very very good.Loved the whole experience I will be back

Outstanding experience all round from start to finish. Welcome was one of the best ever, front of house guy was so good, this level continued with our sever & the food quality. Building & layout are also brilliant.

Loved my first visit to a proper steak restaurant, was way out of my comfort zone, the staff really looked after me, and made my visit an enjoyable one, Marcus was looking after me as well as other diners, the food was amazing, and he was brilliant, totally calm and attentive making sure everything was okay. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back sometime soon.

Without doubt the best steak we've had. The set menu if excellent value, with a small supplement for the chateaubriand for 2. Go hungry, it's a generous amount of food. The steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our server Ed was very knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the restaurant.

Expected nice experience especially as it’s not cheap. Just crammed so many people in which was bad enough but the ratio of staff to customers totally wrong. Therefore we were greeted with a pager like a cheap foreign holiday. Then told I’m really busy if I forget to come back just wave me. While our food did come together, others around us were waiting for sides & even knife well in to there meal. Never got offered wine or list, no water for the table either. Not the peoples fault they were run of their feet. Crammed people in to make money customer experience. Weird chunk of lettuce with sauce not sure what that’s all about. Will not return. Could have gone to Wetherspoon and got similar experience.

Had an absolutely lovely early evening dinner. The food was perfect and service was just right. The staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Eve absolutely made our visit, she’s a credit to Miller and Carter. Will definitely be returning.

Ordered a steak burger and crème brûlée from the lunchtime menu which was quite reasonably priced. My fellow diner has the rump steak and the same dessert. The burger was good but not outstanding. The dessert was excellent and filling. Nice pleasant service as well except for the cringeworthy “good choice” after I placed an order. Please oh please ask staff not to say that as it sounds - and indeed is - contrived.

A typical M&C restaurant in a good setting. The fillet steak was good without being excellent, somewhat more chewy than we cook at home and just average in taste but nothing to complain about. Good service and a very nice Californian Merlot went down well. Not cheap but a pleasant dining experience.

All the staff we met were really polite and helpful, the food was really nice, it was quite busy but we didnt have to wait long for our order. Our waiter was Mark he was really friendly and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Came here for a meal with family, the service was poor and the food underwhelming. When coming to a place such as miller and carter you’d expect it to be top notch. Unfortunately it was not. The service was slow and the staff inattentive. I’d recommend taking less bookings so you are able to fulfil any level of customer service. Will not be returning, much better options for steak in Newcastle!

Excellent setting/surroundings for a fantastic meal. We attended on Saturday 9th December 2023 and the food did not disappoint. Having been there 4 weeks ago and had a perfect Steak meal , we decided to come back down from Berwick to book their Christmas menu . We cannot fault the service from Emily during the meal . Prawn and Avocado with Bloody Mary Sauce . Still waiting to see the Avocado, 6 Prawns with a lot of diced lettuce and not enough Sauce. Mentioned to Emily my complaint ,response was i will inform the kitchen , no reply back on my complaint of the dish . Ordered the Roast Turkey main course. Delicious slices of Turkey and Roast Potatoes and gravy . Brussel Sprouts were not Al Dente ,oiu could hardly get your knife through them . Parsnips were cremated. Best course was the Apple and Damson with icecream .

We came for a special occasion and to be honest we left quite disappointed. The server Tom was excellent despite it being very busy. However the food unfortunately was a complete let down to the standards we have been accustomed to at the Newcastle MC.. we ordered from the festive menu .. starters were nice, main was not good.. the steak was quite small and the amount of fat on it was about 40% and both mine and my wife’s meal was cold . My xmas pudding was ok but could have had more more sauce and a lot more flavouring , my wife’s brownie was cold and therefore left an unpleasant texture in her mouth after eating it. Overall the food was poor, the service good , the ambiance was poor due to large parties which can’t be avoided but the positioning of the tables for 2 could be a lot better

This was our first time at your restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Our waiter was a lovely, polite, friendly young lad. I can’t remember his name but our table was right next to the kitchen. Our food was delicious my husband and I had chipotle chicken for starters which was so succulent and tasted fantastic. My husband had a steak from your main menu and I had a steak sandwich from your lunch menu. Both of our meals were scrumptious. We will definitely return.
